THE CONFIDENCE CONUNDRUM Dear Leah, I too am a model like you, but recently I have found myself having a confidence crisis. I feel bigger compared to my skinny model friends and this is beginning the affect my confidence in front of the camera. I was wondering whether you ever have periods of self-doubt and what do you do to overcome them? Confidence issues are common, especially in the modelling industry, and I also experience them occasionally. As a model, it is drilled into you that confidence is the sexiest thing in front of the camera so try to remember to at least ACT confident when shooting, even if on that particular day you don’t feel it. Look through your previous photos; remind yourself how much of a massive BABE you are, read compliments from your fans, your friends etc. Then have a good look in the mirror, note the areas you feel positive about, your eyes, your lips etc and trust me, you will feel much better. NO CHANCE FOR ROMANCE Dear Leah, I’m a single man looking for love. I work pretty much 24/7, and what counts as my social life regularly occurs while I’m working (industry functions, promo events, launches, lectures, etc) so relationships with those folks are ill-advised. I’m wondering if you had any advice for someone in my position. When you just don’t have the time or opportunity to meet someone, what do you do? In our busy work focused 21st century lives, this is a common issue. I know people are reluctant to try

online dating websites, but I think they’re a great idea! Online dating is popular with people who, like you, are busy with work/family commitments and struggle to actively go out with the intention of meeting someone. Match.com even host regular “Match evenings” where you can go along and meet singles in your area, so try to find some time do this. On the flip side, if you don’t have to time to go and meet somebody, will you have the time to maintain a relationship? Remember, initially relationships can be hard work and take a lot of time, dates, meeting the family etc. If work is your main focus right now, maybe put the idea of a relationship on the back burner until you have a little more time. TRUST IS A MUST: IPHONE PARANOIA Dear Leah, I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend for 3 years but over the past month I’ve noticed she has become cagey with her phone. She turns away when texting, turns her phone face down when it’s on charge so I can’t see anything that pops up and rarely leaves it unattended. I have tried to talk to her about it, but she jumps on the defensive and it results in an argument leaving me feeling even more suspicious. The problem is she has a history of cheating; she had a one night stand at the beginning of our relationship so I don’t know if I’m being paranoid because of this. I would agree with you that her behaviour is certainly suspicious, and I’m sure if it was the other way around she’d be upset by this. However, I wouldn’t jump to the conclusion straight away that she is being unfaithful again. I know you said you’ve tried, but I would sit down with her and talk about this.

Avoid confrontation, don’t under any circumstances demand she shows you her messages (if she is cheating, chances are she’s deleted the messages anyway) – just explain to her that you are upset that she is acting suspiciously and tell her its leading you to be unable to trust her. I don’t blame you for being suspicious regarding the history, but you need to really think about whether or not you honestly trust your girlfriend. Relationships are built on trust and without it they crumble. Talk to her, good luck. IS ‘STAYING IN’ THE NEW SPLITTING UP? Dear Leah, previously I have had a great relationship with my girlfriend, we have lots in common, and she gets on with my family and friends. But recently all she wants to do is stay in all the time; she isn’t interested in socialising with my friends or her friends. Worse than that though, she wants me to stay in with her and gets very upset when I say I want to go out. If I do go out without her she doesn’t speak to me for a couple of days. My friends all take the mick out of me but it’s becoming a serious problem and I’m bored. She has a good job, so money isn’t an issue. Oh dear. Have you asked her what her reasons are for wanting to stay in? Maybe she’s having a confidence crisis; we women are beautiful but sensitive creatures! Talk to her, communication is the key to solving relationship problems; you’ve already said you have a strong relationship so I’m sure she’ll open up. If it is a confidence thing, book her in to have her hair done, buy her a new dress and some shoes, tell her she’s the most beautiful girl you’ve ever seen in your life and I guarantee she’ll sparkle. With serious relationships, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that your partner knows how you feel about them, but girls like to hear it a lot too! Then compromise, have couple weekends every other weekend, go out for dinner, go to the cinema etc. You’ll wonder why you ever had to write to me! WHEN THE HEAT IS GONE, WHAT COULD BE WRONG? Dear Leah, my boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and our sex life has diminished to almost nothing. This has been going on for about six months and it’s making me feel awful. I feel ugly, paranoid, upset and it feels as though he isn’t interested anymore. Whenever I try to talk to him about it, he changes the subject or refuses point blank to talk to me. I get plenty of attention

from other men, but I don’t understand why he isn’t interested. The other aspects of our relationship are perfect, but I can’t be with someone who isn’t interested in a physical relationship and this is making me miserable. It sounds to me like you need to inject some passion back into your relationship and fast. When you are in a long term relationship, sex can get boring and “samey” so it’s important to nip this in the bud. Relationships lacking on the physical front are destined for failure, sex is an integral part of any relationship in order to maintain the feelings of intimacy. Book a weekend away, with the intention of spending as much time in the hotel bedroom as possible. Buy some sexy lingerie and the Kama Sutra, light some candles and let it happen naturally. If this doesn’t work, nothing changes and he refuses to talk, question whether or not you could be happy for another year. If not, you know what to do. Miserable relationships are unhealthy. TOURTURED! Dear Leah, I’ve been in a band for around a year now, which is longer than I have been with my girlfriend. Things with the band have just become more serious and on average we’re touring every other month for 3 weeks. My girlfriend hates this, she kicks off big style every time we announce a tour and it’s embarrassing as well as frustrating. She gets on with my band members and she knows how I feel about her, it feels as though she doesn’t trust me and she isn’t supportive of my achievements. As a band girlfriend myself, I can relate to this. This all comes from the stigma of sex, drugs and rock n roll when band members got wasted and slept with groupies on each date of their tours and other band members kept it from the wives and girlfriends back home. I know that it doesn’t really happen like this, I know that you spend your time drinking beer and sleeping cuddled up to your band members in your van. Have you ever taken your girlfriend to any of your shows? I do merch for Wicked Snakes on occasions, there aren’t many “groupies” hanging around. If you show your girlfriend this then she’ll relax and her mind will be at ease. Explain to her that your band is as important to you as she is and it’d mean a lot if she was supportive.

We didn’t stop pissing ourselves all day, honestly! And Porchia the MUA we worked with was hysterical, was the easiest day of ‘work’ I’ve ever done! Natasha told me my bum looks like an ‘upside down love heart’, I can’t get that out of my head! You are also a trained hairdresser, what’s the worst hair style you have seen? Oh we used to have this guy come in who was ginger and used to make us bleach the crap out of his hair to make him blonde. Gingers should not go blonde, I’ve never seen anyone pull that one off. Embrace the ginge guys! Tell us how you make a good night great in London? By adding my friends and myself to the mix. Add some patron to that mix and the party tricks come out haha, LORD! If we were to buy you a drink what would you ask for? Depends what kind of night I’m having, if I want to get fucked and not remember my own name by the end of the night just straight patron shots. Greetings from Elite Jessica, how’s life been treating you? At the moment things are great. I’ve been pretty busy. Still trying to recover from Christmas and New Year.

Would you class yourself as one of the hordes of Elite fans out there enjoying the loveliness we provide monthly then? Well as a woman who can appreciate other women I most definitely do.

A big night was it? What did you get up to? I don’t drink too often but when I do it gets pretty wild! It was a house party, and all I can say is a bouncy castle and lots of Jager was involved!

Good times! Well it’s tremendous to have you in the mag, how are you feeling about the experience, excited? Yes I am excited; Elite features lots of beautiful women and I’m constantly checking it out for that very reason, so to be a part of it in this issue is amazing.

Now we’ve got that vital information, let’s talk about your superb modelling. You’re an agency represented talent, who has worked some beautiful shoots to date. What made you get into the bizz? I was scouted when I was 18 by a London agency in a nightclub in Liverpool. I knew straightaway it was something I wanted to do.

Your portfolio has some great depth to it, you’ve done fashion, been a zombie killer, and of course you produce gorgeous glamour work. Was glamour a side of the industry that inspired you? When I was about 15 or 16 I did some fashion/catwalk work, but as I got older my body changed; I started to open my eyes to the different types of modelling I could do. The first glamour shoot I did was for page 3, the moment I did it I wanted to do more.

The glamour work has gotten you huge plaudits, and got you in the hallowed pages of Elite of course. What do you think it takes to be a successful glamour model? Is there a certain mindset or attitude you’ve got to have? As there’s a lot of competition it’s hard to say as it’s different for each individual. My mindset is that I do it for fun and I try not to take it too seriously. I’ve learnt over the years it’s important to be yourself which sounds like a cliché. For example when I first started, I hated how pale I am and it was something I constantly wanted to change. Then I started to embrace it and that’s when I felt for me things started to change. You can’t please everyone but you will have people out there who will like your look. It’s clear you’re an outgoing person, up for a laugh and very expressive. Is modelling where you’ll find your niche do you think; or do the zombie killings/ music videos/theatricality hint at an ambition to act or present maybe? I consider them to be the same thing as I put the same amount of energy into each one. I am lucky enough to have worked on 5 music videos and although it’s hard work I will say it’s super fun and rewarding. We’ll focus on modelling for the moment because I HAVE to ask you about your feature in this month’s Elite. You worked with the always magnificent Rowan Murray, what was that collaboration like? Rowan is such an amazing guy. I was a huge fan of his work before the shoot and being able to work with him was a privilege. It was a relaxed day of shooting. I feel we got some great stuff out of it.

Could you walk us through the day’s shoot, from turning up to the studio to turning it on in front of camera, right through to seeing the shots and your reaction? I arrived at Rowan’s studio and he made me feel very welcome straightaway. We discussed outfits and makeup. We then began to shoot. I kept my makeup and hair quite natural. Rowan was the perfect photographer. We shot for a couple of hours then at the end he showed me some of the images at the back of the camera. I was so happy with them. I knew from that point I would love them. When receiving the images back, I was more than pleased with the results. I feel that we were the perfect team! Have you got a message for our Elite family of fans who are no doubt drooling as they read this and enjoy your pictures? I really hope you have all enjoyed my feature. It’s been a pleasure working with Elite. Thank you for the support and I hope you have an amazing 2014! As you might expect, your amazing body is a fantastic focus in the shots. How do you keep in such terrific shape? Please at least tell us it’s hard work to stay looking so glorious, because if you eat like a pig and never workout that’s just unfair!!

Damn my secret’s out. I love food but it’s all about balance. I do a lot of squats but try keep away from cardio; I usually walk on a high incline. Another aspect of your pictures I was extremely taken with are your incredible eyes. You probably get asked about them a lot, but the way they pop against your pale complexion is mesmeric. I was going to ask how you do that, but I guess they’re just your eyes, no real “doing” involved right? Thank you very much, you’re too flattering! I guess I can thank the gene pool for that! You’re very welcome, and kudos on those genes! What are the main things you’ll be taking away with you from this latest Elite experience Jessica? As this was my first online interview, it has been thoroughly enjoyable and I’ve learnt the people who work for Elite are all great. I would hope you would have me back as I loved the experience. Cassie: It feels incredible. I’ve been dying to get my butt in here so I am super stoked for it to finally be happening. Rosie: I’m awesome thanks Elite! It’s good to be back.

How was it working with the brilliant Jack Russell? Rosie: Working with Jack and generally hanging out was awesome! We had a good laugh. It was a good experience! Cassie: I love Jack, second time I’ve shot with him and it was just as much fun, if not more than the first. Banter, a bit of drink, good company and lots of nudity. Plus nobody else can get away with shouting: ‘Will you both just snog for fucks sake!’, and then get the result. I laughed the whole way through, it was a wonderful day shooting. You are both lovely ladies what is your favourite thing about each other? Cassie (on Rosie): Damn that girl does have some fine ass. I’m a bum girl anyway, so I would say that. I posted a photo of it on Instagram when she was shooting. Rosie (on Cassie): My favourite thing about Cassie is her butt. It is a good ‘un. Plus her love of unusually large “man eating” snakes. And what would you say your best feature is ? Cassie: I like my bum. I think I have a good bum. Plus when it shakes it looks pretty good. It’s the only thing I perve on myself for. Rosie: My favourite thing about myself are my lips. You make a great pairing, who is your other favourite double act? Cassie: Will Smith and Carlton Banks. Or should I say Will and Boogaloo shrimp. I don’t think they are a duo but… man they make me happy. Rosie: My favourite pair is Gin and Tonic Photographer: Jack Russell

Cassie, you don’t have any tattoos (as far as we can see!) would you get one soon? Cassie: I’m planning on getting some work done this year. I can’t do things in small doses that’s all, plus I am mega indecisive so where it’s going could change multiple times until I actually have the needle on me. I’m going to be getting a lion and a raven surrounded by roses, and then a red dragon and a swallow surrounded by daffodils hopefully on my thighs. Any takers to ink me up? Rosie, you posted on your facebook that you completed the famous ‘Squat Challenge’ are you happy with the end result? Would you recommend it? Rosie: I’m so happy with the results. I’m very small and have quite a small chest. But I don’t think you can beat a small waist and big butt! I recommend it to EVERYONE! Cassie: I started the squat challenge but I used to do it before I got in the bath, so I’d try exercising naked which made me cold so it didn’t last long. What a sad excuse. HA! Rosie, you have a lot of tattoos, which is your favourite? And are you getting more soon? Rosie: This is a hard question because I forget how much I love my back piece until I get to see it again. Which was done by Sarah at Lady luck in Portsmouth. I just adore my chest piece which was done in Kings Cross tattoo parlour by Tracy D. My sleeve is work in progress which is Alice in Wonderland which I also adore. There is a little mouse inside my elbow that doesn’t get seen very often but it’s freakin’ CUTE! If they have an old school Volkswagen too then I might as well hand myself over with my hands already tied. I’m all yours. What’s a big turn-off for you? Cassie: Men who have no hair. I like my men big, buff and hairy. Trimmed, but not bald. It’s so confusing when you go to rub a mans body and he has shaved his chest hair off, I mean, what are you, a woman? Rosie: Over confident or bad boy reputation. Also To all you guys out there. STOP SHAVING YOUR FACE! A MAN IS NOT MEANT TO BE BABY FACED! Cassie is from Essex, Rosie is from Portsmouth, where is better? Cassie: Probably Portsmouth, but I should at least try and stick up for poor old Essex. The only thing I can even try and tempt people with is our crazy array of women. Rosie: I have never in my life been to Essex but I was born in Portsmouth and moved back when I was 19 and I can honestly say, Essex is probably better. I have exciting plans this year to move to Bristol because it’s the best city EVER! The best thing about Portsmouth are my good friends. You know who you are.

Is Essex anything like what we see on TV? Cassie: Some of it is, to be fair, even the outskirts of Cambridge have been Essex infested. Ballare in Cambridge is a prime example. I miss that shit-hole. If you could party anywhere in the world, where would it be? Cassie: Take me to Chicago. I‘d win the slots, get totally smashed on champagne and ride a white tiger all the way back to my penthouse in my knickers. What is a great night out for you ? Cassie: Good friends, an intense game of ring of fire and some decent tunes. You can take me anywhere; good company makes for a fucking awesome night out. Rosie: A great night out is to dance like you couldn’t give, and be with good friends who don’t give with you. What do you like to drink? Rosie: Gin and tonic usually but I regularly go for an Espresso Martini. Can’t get much better than that! Cassie: I’m a lager sort of woman. Although I would never say no to champagne. Do you stop for a messy take away on the way home? Rosie: Whenever I can. Toast doesn’t quite cut it. Cassie: If I don’t have a large chicken kebab on the way home then something is seriously wrong.

Photographer: Tripodski What is your relationship like away from the camera and performing? How often do you spend time together, and what do you normally get up to? Paige: On camera and off we are very much the same, constantly laughing, touching up each other’s hair and makeup and of course we’re the snuggly type, constantly cuddling and posing haha. Mikayla: We are constantly together at home; well I’m like Paige’s lodger, always round her house seeing what she has to offer in the fridge, catching up on my programmes haha. Paige: That’s the annoying side, but on the whole wouldn’t change her for the world; we literally do everything together, from shopping to partying to sleeping haha. It seems from your Twitter pages that you regularly terrorise the local pubs and clubs. What makes the best night out for each of you? Mikayla: Alcohol and Paige! Paige: That’s agreed haha, as long as we have a good beat to slut drop to, a glass of wine to sip and are hand-in-hand with each other trying to act out scenes from Dirty Dancing. Mikayla: And for me maybe a nice bit of eye-candy to stare at from my high lifts haha. Nothing wrong with a bit of male attention. Paige: Mikayla is a nightmare; I’m definitely MUM on a night out, trying to keep her under control. Mikayla: Doesn’t work haha. What is it about you two that make you such good friends? Could you list three things that you admire the most about each other in terms of personality and friendship? Mikayla: Three things? I could go on forever... for starters Paige is like my motherly figure, she likes to think she’s sensible until she’s had a few wines and you see her doing the worm past you on the dance floor. But on a serious note she is my world, she makes me high when I’m low and always there to put a boot up my ass if I need one.

Paige: Aww I’ve got a tear haha... I think this is a simple question but such a hard one to answer as words really couldn’t explain what this little rascal means to me. She really is like my little sunshine, constantly cheering me up, we compliment each other so much. A day with us is always one to remember, I don’t think I’ve had a single day without her or a day when I’ve not laughed! It’s a ditto moment, she’s my world.

On the flip side, what makes each of you so good to work with? Paige: Well besides that she’s a fittie haha, I think we just get on so well it shows in our images, we compliment each other and I think the brunette and blonde look really goes... I love my bimbo! Mikayla: Yeah I think our looks go well together, every brunette needs a blonde, and we are both so similar we both like the same look and both create images we both love. I wouldn’t want to pair with anyone else. Paige: It would be so strange doing a duo shoot with somebody else, I think the atmosphere wouldn’t be right. Every shoot we do we always have fun with everyone involved! Speaking of your work together, your set in this month’s Elite is earth shatteringly excellent. What was the experience like for both of you? Paige: The experience was brilliant, so chilled out and so fun. Mikayla: Yeah I loved it at Elite, would definitely shoot again, both of us of course haha. Tripodski was behind the camera and captured you both beautifully. What was it like working with our Elite snapper, did you have fun on the shoot? Mikayla: Yeah he was brilliant, really understood what look we were going for and as well as putting in his professional opinion he really listened to us, and went with the swing of things. Paige: Yeah I agree with Mik, he was so fun to work with and just let us do our own thing; we do like to take over haha. But he put up with us, and the images looked amazing, we’ve been so excited to see them.

From the looks of it you guys always have fun when you’re working together. Does knowing one another so well make it much easier to relax into shoots? Paige: I think we’re both bubbly so if we were in a situation to be paired with someone else we would get on with it and have fun, but to be fair working with Mikayla is like a breath of fresh air. I think the fact we’ve known each other for so long definitely works better, as we know each other inside out haha. Mikayla: Yeah because we’ve known each other for so long, we would never take things too seriously, we are always having a giggle or playing up a little, but definitely helps that we know each other so well, helps with the images as well as they are more natural. Paige, you’re a buxom brunette with gorgeous tan skin. How do you manage to stay looking so gorgeous? Have you got a beauty regime you follow? Paige: Well thank you, I’ve got quite tanned skin naturally, we have a little Mexican in the blood line haha. I do have a sneaky sun bed now and then, but I don’t really follow a regime; I like to try new things myself, I’m a creator not a follower. How would you describe yourself as a model/performer? Paige: I’d say I’m hard working and professional, but I’m very bubbly and love my job; so constantly having fun and enjoying myself. Anybody that knows me knows that I’m quite organised and like to get things done, but I’m a lover for FUN so a working day is always an exciting day ha-ha. Mikayla, you’re a bodacious blonde bombshell with a rocking body. Have you got a diet plan and exercise routine you stick to? Mikayla: Aww thanks, don’t worry I don’t starve myself, I EAT! Hence the buttocks haha. No I literally eat what I want and if I’m having a down day I’ll move my butt to the gym, but there isn’t a certain routine I stick to. Maybe the bedroom performances help ;) I’ll ask you the same question, how do you describe yourself as a model/performer? Mikayla: I can’t take my job too seriously, it’s all fun and games, but of course I am a little professional ‘sometimes’ haha. I feel lucky that I can do the things I do, I’m lucky to have Paige as well, as she’s organised for both of us and keeps me tamed.

Photographer: Tripodski There’s a distinct sisterhood vibe between you girls. Do you ever have fallings out? If so, do you use those memories to fuel particularly intense shoots together? Paige: The strangest thing is we’ve never had an actual fall out; maybe it’s her big blue eyes that stop me from letting the steam out my ears sometimes haha. Mikayla: Rarely have feuds but there are always times where we just annoy each other and then laugh it off; we can’t stay mad at each other about anything. Plus we’re both pretty straight-up, so always confront each other if something is annoying us. Paige: Yeah we’re honest with each other, and so good at reading each other we just know when the other one his having a strop or is down; so put our best ‘cute’ face on to make the other smile. For girls that have worked together so regularly, you always seem to produce something new and exciting. Do you talk a lot about shooting and ideas for things to do on camera? Paige: Yeah we always talk about stuff we want to do in the future, constantly sending each other pictures of sexy images or ideas we have. Mikayla: We have so many ideas yet, so keep watching as there’s more exciting stuff to come from us. What is the craziest project you’ve been involved with together? You must have some fantastic work stories from your time collaborating. Mikayla: Ok to list our crazy life would take too long; we both have ‘la vida loca’ tattooed on our shoulders, as we believe we have crazy lives haha. Paige will hate me for this, she still has nightmares. There was a certain shoot where we got gagged and tied up, (it’s ok it didn’t hurt) but a certain point Paige tries to forget is that I left her tied and made her suck my toes! You’re a multifaceted and multitalented model, with a distinct penchant for period styles and of course latex. First of all, where does the passion for all things pin up come from? Has it spread to your home, have you got period features about the place like an old-timey telephone etc? I was brought up on 1950s music and lifestyle by my parents, hence my love of vintage! I’ve never really known anything else until over the past few years. I used to have a vintage house and now I just share a vintage loft with Mr Rockafella and the Bettie Kat, spawn of Satan’s pussy. I have an old-timey telephone that I stole from my Dad if that counts?

SINderella Rockafella The Queen of Pin Up Returns...

It’s truly an honour to welcome the tremendous SINderella Rockafella to Elite Online magazine. How are things going? Not too shabby, dying from man flu at the moment... I think my balls have shrunk to the size of my boobs. I’ve got to first ask about your name. Right off the bat it showcases your creativity and thought process: You’ve got the ‘SIN’ part for your darker, naughtier side, the Cinderella aspect hints at a more innocent/playful side, and ‘Rockafella’ is a perfect nod to the period and pin up era you portray so wonderfully. Is that a pretty accurate overview of what you were going for? Are you happy your name somewhat encapsulates your persona? I’ve never really thought about it like that, I mean, yes that is exactly what I was going for! I actually pinched the name from a 1950s song that I loved by Ronnie Dawson, I believed the lyrics went “Cinderella Rockafella, Cinderella you’re the one for me” in fact it was “Slenderella I’m your fella, Slenderella you’re the one for me” so buggered up on all of it really. Maybe I should just go with what you said from now on...?

Your pin up work is like a living breathing Gil Elvgren or Enoch Bolles drawing. Have you been inspired by the work of those and similar artists of the 30s, 40s and 50s? Elvegren and Varga are my main influences when shooting Pin Up however I’ve never studied either and I’m quite lazy. Of course your work always comes with the SINderella Rockafella signature twist, and you’ve incorporated fetish, burlesque and glamour aspects into many different period portrayals. Have you got a favourite style at all, or a theme/method to shoot that you enjoy most? I love shooting bondage and latex. Pin Up is my first love but I adore making rubbery farts when twanging lubed up latex and getting rope burn. Somewhat satisfying. Hair and Make-up are vital parts of not only pin up, but all other aspects of modelling. You regularly rock a fabulous do and make-up combo. Do you produce these yourself, or have you been fortunate to work with some gifted guys and gals? 9/10 I do my own hair and makeup on shoots. I’m never usually keen on other people doing their own work on me as I never really like what they doodle on my face, however I have been lucky to work with a couple of amazing MUA artists over the past year! I mentioned latex earlier in the piece, and I’d love to swing the attention onto your work with the magic material now if I may. As such a seasoned rubber lover, can you tell us about your first shoot with the shiny stuff? Funny enough I was flicking through old photos last night and found my first latex shoot! It was for Rubber55 and we did a Poison Ivy (this is back when I was a redhead) themed photoshoot in a graveyard. I will tell you though, lube is great for catching insects on your ass.

Everyone has different experiences of working with it, what have yours been like? Any techniques or advice you’d give those who are looking to model or just wear the stuff? Wear chlorinated! It is so much easier and you don’t need any talc, as I’ve touched on before I’m quite lazy so will spend ten minutes struggling into latex rather than talc up prior. Catalyst Latex do an amazing chlorinated range and it fits like a second skin, it also doesn’t need lubed and it is pre shined but of course the lube is the fun part. Your Elite shoot this month is, as expected, mind meltingly marvellous! What do you remember of the day’s festivities? I took some selfies off my ass, almost peed myself laughing at the editor getting punched in the balls by a boxer and danced around in some amazing latex! Oh, I also had an awesome baguette on the way home. You shot in Lady Lucie Latex, a company famed for producing gorgeously theatrical pieces. What was it like shooting in their products? The garments we’re beautifully made and I really enjoyed shooting in them all. How did you feel during the shoot while wearing the piece? Does working and modelling in latex give you any different sensation/confidence/ inspiration than modelling in “regular” attire? Modelling comes as a second nature to me now and as long as I have my makeup on I feel ready to take on the world, or at least the camera.

Your set this month is genius, it’s fantastic to feature them within our pages. How was your dynamic with photographer Tripodski? What went into creating such superb material? Oh my, well, I didn’t actually click who Tripodski was until I got home and I had wanted to shoot with him for a LONG time, so this just made my experience even more memorable! It was a very relaxed shoot and very giggly, just what I like. How does this appearance in Elite rate amongst your many accomplishments in what is already a stellar career? Did you have fun? It’s a great way to start 2014 and I had A LOT of fun! You’ve amassed quite the following online, and your work is regularly heralded. Have you got a message for your fans reading this today? Thank you to all of you lovelies that have followed me and supported me, I will continue to show my appreciation by uploading pictures of my ass. We’d be remiss if we didn’t take this opportunity to quiz a pin up pinnacle about the art of producing perfect period pictures. Could you outline your five top tips for a stellar pin up look, or what makes a good pin up models in terms of approach and attitude? You need the correct makeup and hair. Red lips just doesn’t cut it sometimes. Wear fully fashioned stockings on a 6 strap suspender belt, never hold ups. If you stick your tongue on the roof of your mouth when you do an open cheesecake smile it will reduce a double chin. Keep your fingers and toes pointed in all poses. To get the perfect Pin Up expression, mouth these different letters for each shot “A, E, I, O, U” (how many of you just tried it?)

You’ve triumphantly returned to Elite for 2014, what made you come back? Did you just have so much fun last time? I love Elite. I always have fun working with you guys. It’s my third time now and hopefully not my last. It’s always a blast having your work adorning our pages, what have you been up to since last you featured, any new ink, piercings, scars, stories? Moving up and down the country! Went from the East to the North and now down to the South! Moved 7 times in 3 years! For some reason I won’t sit still ha. Also in the last year I’ve been away to the South of France, Italy and Tenerife; where I finally got the girls out and sunbathed topless... believe it or not I can be shy. You’ve been busy collecting followers on Twitter and Instagram by the looks of things. What’s that new notoriety like? Have you been asked for an autograph yet, or recognised on the street? Haha I wouldn’t go that far! I do always know when Elite posts a pic of me though. You do get a message now and then asking for pics and stuff... some also go as far as wanting to lick your feet, which is always interesting.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, ladies sometimes get lingerie as gifts right? Which brings us seamlessly onto your lingerie collection Kat… You’ve shot in so many different sets and pieces that you must have an impressive collection. Are you cupboards just a shrine to Ann Summers, Agent Provocateur and Marks and Sparks (don’t laugh they do good undies)? I do have a lot of underwear! For this shoot I actually got supplied the lingerie specifically from Scarlet Edge Lingerie... all French lace and silk and very grown-up! What for you makes the perfect underwear, especially when you’ve got to work and shoot in it? Is there a style or cut that you find best? I work best with darker colours and really adult styles... lots of lace, silk and holes where possible ;) I love balcony bras and small knickers... they help show off as much of the body as possible!

So how has 2014 been treating you so far? Did you ring in the New Year with anything special at all? Are you resolutions still holding up? It’s been ok… trying to recover from Xmas! New Year was spent down the pub… I’m a homely girl like that; plus you can just stumble home haha. I don’t do New Year’s resolutions... would always break them! Just try and push my limits... will always try something once :) We’re heading into February, the most romantic and lovingly commercial month of the year. Do you do Valentine’s Day Kat? Have your local Post Office drafted in support staff to handle all the cards you undoubtedly get sent? Oh god that’s embarrassing haha yeah I do Valentine’s Day; not sure about the post office thing... I move around too much anyway!

Your shoot in this monthâ€™s Elite with Chris is wonderful. What was it like working with the photographer? Did you two have a good back and forth while working and off camera? Oh god Chris is so much fun! Such a good sense of humour and he insists on wearing flip flops like all year round, the weirdo haha. Heâ€™s a talented fellow is Chris, what did you think of his style and overall vision? I love his style and use of light! He really takes his time with things which I like... trying to get the perfect shot. All about quality not quantity!

What was your favourite part of your Elite shoot Kat? You were seen frolicking in bed at one point, were there any funny stories from the day, or props/ locations you were particularly taken by? Haha yes the bed bit was interesting! The light we were using above me was being just a bit temperamental and kept cutting out so I had to keep waiting... and it was Baltic! Every time we stopped I jumped under the duvet... definitely a moment where I wish I had been wearing more! Most importantly, did you get any treats or freebies? THE WORK OF DEKKER Welcome back to Elite Mr Dekker. How are things going for you today? Busy shooting no doubt. Thank you – great to be back! Things are going well, just wrapped up a shoot with a model I’ve wanted to shoot for a very long time…so extremely happy! We here at Elite pride ourselves on celebrating the best photographic talent around, and love getting to know the people behind the lens. You featured triumphantly in our pages last year, what have you been up to since? I took a photography break in September last year for a month to refocus, plan and just relax – needed to get my mojo and passion back after a packed summer. Since then it has been full steam ahead. I’ve invested in some new equipment, got a few new techniques under my belt and shot some amazing models! Having been a part of the industry for a while now, what would you say have been the biggest shifts and changes in terms of style, mentality and trends? I’ve certainly seen “alternative” become more mainstream – it is now virtually synonymous with “tattoos” rather than being a subculture. Social media has also made huge advances in the four or five years I’ve been doing this – it seems to either act as a massive distraction to many models and photographers, or a fabulous opportunity that the smart ones monetise and create a loyal fanbase from. You’ve worked predominantly in a studio environment, but are not averse to venturing out on location as well. What are the pluses and minuses for you when it comes to indoor studio work, and interesting location shoots? I’m definitely looking to do more location/outdoor work this year, but the advantages of studio work are both artistic and practical. I love stripping models back to the absolute basics so they have no choice but to let their personalities come to the surface. Practically, I shoot so often, I tend not to have time to scout locations or pray to the British Weather Gods. However, in line with my “challenge every week” philosophy, I’m definitely getting myself out of my studio and

comfort zone and venturing into the deep dark world with a model or two! Speaking of models, you’ve got an enviable list of collaborations under your belt, with some of the industry’s best modelling talent. How do you continually source such spectacular shoots? I’m really lucky to have worked with such amazing models. Thankfully, with social media, models talk, share pictures and discuss shoots – so the vast majority of my shoots are organised through wordof-mouth and Facebook. One good shoot leads to another, which leads to another…and so on! I’m also not afraid to ask – there’s a surprising amount of ego in this industry, with top photographers expecting models to flock to them (and vice versa). Life’s too short, I’m not proud…I’ll happily get on my knees and beg or bribe if necessary! How do you like the dynamic to work between yourself and your models? Do you give a lot of direction on set, or do you allow more freedom and room to experiment in pictures? Models comment on how chatty I am out of the studio yet how quiet I am in the studio. This is almost a deliberate tactic on my part, as I don’t want to influence the models too much. Collaboration is key for me, as I don’t like models to be silent participants in the shoots. The likes of Ruby True, Jessica Lucy and Natalie Phillips are some of my favourite artists working today. Are you a fan and follower of your models, or do you have to be an artist first and foremost? Last year, I was a little lazy and tended to let models come to me, every now and again messaging one myself to arrange something. This year has been vastly different – I compiled a “Hit List” over Christmas – and they were all models I followed whose work I admired. I’m also discovering models that don’t have massive social media followings, but are incredibly refreshing and creative individuals to shoot – Adreena Angela and Rebecca Louise spring to mind.

It’s clear from your reputation and the pictures themselves, that your shoots are fun experiences. Have you worked hard to create a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere in your work? Not at all – creating a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere is the easiest part and seems like a perfectly natural thing to do! “Hi, nice to meet you – take your clothes off and let me point a big camera at you” seems like a shitty thing to do. Sitting down with a cuppa and getting to know the model for an hour is a really important part of my creative process. Photography is a very intimate experience for both parties, with trust and rapport being at the forefront of getting a good picture (in my opinion).

The last few years have seen your work take a distinct and definitive direction in terms of what you capture. Where did your decision to take your current photographical path stem from? I’d love to say I found my muse, my talent or my inner creativity but that’d be bollocks! Practice – pure and simple. I’ve been pickier with who I’ve worked with, I’ve associated with other photographers and models outside of the studio, I’m consistently humbled and amazed by the work of other photographers and push myself to do something different in each shoot. The end result has been a style that isn’t as distinguishable as, say, Stuart Mitchell’s or Erin Elizabeth Kelly’s work (two big influences for me!) but the man behind the camera has stayed consistent at least. Your work encapsulates both glamour and fine art superbly well. Do you believe that the glamour side of the industry is underrated, and a talented artist such as yourself can produce glamour pictures that can be seen and displayed as art? It’s funny because I’ve never seen myself as a glamour photographer. I feel that because it looks like my models are having fun (and admittedly aren’t wearing very much…), I’ve been put in that box. I’ve shot with a few of the better known glamour models who have really struggled with me, as I look for models that can “let loose” a bit. We aren’t all sexy all the time! That said, I do believe glamour is underrated – or at least overlooked. The recent furore over Page 3 and lads mags covers brought the conversation into the mainstream press. Why is one form of nudity sexist, while another is art or fashion or pornography? It isn’t so black and white – there are many shades of grey (fifty, so I’m told!). What is key for you in terms of your work? Is it all about capturing that one perfect picture, or do you like to tell a story in a series of images? I’m not a perfectionist by any stretch – if someone looks at one of my photos at empathises or emotes with the model, I’m happy. That said, I am looking to get into more editorial photography later this year, the stories that some photographers such as Adam Robertson or Sander Dekker (no relation) tell are amazing. You’ve been involved in some memorable shoot themes and innovative ideas. Is the idea of a shoot as important for you when considering a project? What have been some of your favourite crazy ideas for shoots to be involved with? I keep a list of random ideas and their inspiration handy, as most of them come to me as I’m commuting in London. That said, my shoots aren’t heavily planned so I tend to buy any props or materials I need, and just keep them handy until a willing model comes along! Some of the fun stuff I’ve done recently has to include throwing powder paint at Adreena and having to buy 18 litres of soya milk to shoot a “milk bath” set with my favourite vegan model, Natasha Kalashnikova! There are hilarious outtakes from both those sets I’d love to share with you all, but I’d fear for my life…

Here at Elite, it’s as much about the photographer as it is the models and other features. Is it important for you that your work is showcased in a place and manner where appreciation is paramount? Absolutely – in these days of social media and the need to maintain a good reputation as well as a good body of work, having the support and appreciation of publications such as Elite is really important and very much appreciated! Having worked with so much of the industry’s top talent already, is there anyone out there right now who you’d like to work with this year? I spoke about my Hit List earlier – it is about 30 models long, I’ve already arranged shoots with 10 of them and (being honest!) had 4 turn me down or ignore me, so 16 to go! I’ve already got 3-4 shoots I’m incredibly excited about that I’ll share with you all shortly, and I’m always looking for models that’ll stretch my boundaries. The photography industry is constantly being flooded by amateurs and people thinking it’s easy to take good pictures. Where do you stand on this? Is it good new people are entering the business with new ideas, or do you think there is a dilution taking place of the talent pool? I’d be a hypocrite to say anything other than be supportive. I’m an amateur! I’m a strong believer in letting the markets sort this out. People aren’t stupid – those who want outstanding photos will still hire professional photographers. Yes, it is a saturated market – but all that means is that the quality bar gets raised and in turn, professional photographers tend to find themselves serving better clients. Yes, the middle gets squeezed, but I have little sympathy for mediocrity. How can models get in touch to find out more about shooting with you? I know you have a legion of artists requesting your services, but have you got openings for people to inquire about? Begrudgingly, Facebook is the best way to contact me.
