What is occlusal disease? It is wear of the tooth structure. It is also called bruxism, malocclusion, tooth erosion, abrasion, and abfraction. Occlusal disease can be the result of parafunctional habits, grinding, chemical tooth structure breakdown, gastric reflux, acid regurgitation, heartburn, as well as trauma. Are your teeth jagged and breaking down visibly? Do your back teeth look really smooth? Are there prominent cusp tips missing? When you feel the inside of your back top and bottom teeth, is it smooth? Do you feel anatomy in the areas? These are all signs of
tooth structure breakdown. You may even notice bone building up around the teeth and in your palate. This is called tori, often bone adjusting to the hard bite and breakdown. Treatment for these conditions can vary. Treatment for acid reflux may be needed if that is the cause. Full coverage crowns may be needed for restoring the teeth. It’s official! Sister Sheila Shackleford is Now an Ordained Evangelist It’s official! Sister Sheila Shackleford is now an ordained evangelist. On Sunday, August 18, 2019, she stood before nearly 200 parishioners and attendees who came out to bless her on her evangelizing journey. Among them, there were at least 16 guest ministers and pastors who surrounded her with prayers of protection and one pastor who got down on her knees and prayed for her, while she massaged her feet and lower legs. She wanted to make sure those feet and legs stay strong, because it is the job of the evangelist to travel often, sometimes by walking on foot, to bring hope to those who are downtrodden. Sis. Shackleford joined Union Baptist Church, which is located at 3410 S. Polk Street, Dallas, Texas and under the direction of Dr. Charles C. Martin in October of 2000. Immediately, she knew her pastor was a big encourager of women in ministry. Now although Mrs. Shackleford had been a Pastor’s wife for almost 30 years and grew up as a preacher’s kid, even after finding out her Pastor at Union Baptist Church was receptive to the

Dr. Martin never figured out things for Evangelist Shackleford or lectured to her, he simply asked her enough questions when they met, to bring her to a point where she was making bigger discoveries about passages in the Bible, which were already familiar to her. On Sunday, August 18, 2019, Evang. Shackleford was ordained as an Evangelist, which is a step above being licensed. She is now able to marry two individuals after she has met with them in two to three counseling sessions. Also, she can now baptize individuals seeking a closer relationship with Christ. When Dr. Martin preached during her ordination, he reminded her and the congregation that Evang. Shackleford is in sales and her job is to move from place to place, evangelizing everyone everywhere.

What Weren’t You Thinking About By: Brian Eberstein
Have you ever been at a meeting or gathering of any Brian Eberstein type, for that matter, and heard someone speaking and after, about a minute or so, you wondered to yourself, or maybe out loud, “ what in the world is that person thinking about ? “, if anything. I’ve had that thought at many meetings and, occasionally, asked the speaker “ what in the world are you thinking about “. What am I getting at ? It’s this. All of us have preconceived notions and ideas and theories about most things. The truth about that is that sometimes we’re right and other times we’re not. What I try my best to do, even when I hear someone
saying something I believe is completely wrong, is listen and think. What’s this have to do with my car crash world ? Same thing. Too many lawyers have preconceived ideas about what is a car crash case and if you call that lawyer and your case doesn’t fit that lawyer’s preconceived idea, the lawyer says “ I can’t help you “.
