“Eric Johnson will provide the visionary, inclusive leadership that Dallas needs and that is why I am proud to endorse him for Mayor,” Congressman Allred said. “Having grown up in Dallas and served our city for years in the Texas Legislature, Eric has a unique appreciation for the challenges facing Dallas families. I believe he is ready to build on the progress we have made under Mayor Rawlings and bring our community together around ideas and solutions that will lead this great city to an even brighter future.” Congressman Allred won a Dallasbased seat in the U.S. House of
Representatives in November 2018. DALLAS— Dallas Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Roger Staubach and his wife Marianne endorsed State Rep. Eric Johnson on Tuesday to serve as the next Mayor of Dallas. “We believe Eric Johnson is the leader that Dallas needs for the future,” Mr. and Mrs. Staubach said. “Eric is the person who can build the expansive coalitions needed to achieve great things for Dallas. We are proud to support him.” Rep. Johnson finished in first place among nine mayoral candidates on May 4, advancing to a twoperson runoff on June 8. Early voting in the runoff election began Tuesday and will last until June 4. “I am beyond honored to receive this endorsement,” Rep. Johnson said. “The Staubach family has made an enormous contribution to Dallas for many years. Our city would not be the remarkable place it is today without this wonderful couple.
