KEY PREPARING FOR PRELIMINARY PRELIMINARY PREPARING FOR FIRST FIRST
In Medieval Verona two families – the Capulets and the Montagues – fight in the streets, angering the city’s people and their prince. Then, one day, a young Montague called Romeo goes uninvited to a party given by the Capulets. Here he meets Juliet – a Capulet, and they fall in love. But how can Romeo and Juliet love each other when their families hate each other? In his ageless play, Shakespeare explores themes of love, hope and friendship, against a background of fear, danger and human weakness.
