MISSION
Episcopal High School, founded and guided by the Diocese of Texas, is an inclusive and joyful Christian community where students discover and develop their individual talents through the Four Pillars—academics, arts, athletics, religion—preparing for meaningful lives in service to others.
At Episcopal High School, generosity is not only a tradition; it’s part of our collective spirit. Since 1983, this community has been built by people willing to roll up their sleeves, dream big, and invest wholeheartedly in the students, faculty, programs, and spaces that make EHS extraordinary.
There are four primary ways families can support the School. Each serves a distinct purpose, and together they sustain our Mission today while preparing EHS for tomorrow. We hope this guide provides a helpful overview of the philanthropic opportunities at EHS and empowers your family to participate in the ways that feel most meaningful to you. Whether you choose to support one area or all four, we are grateful for your partnership and look forward to sharing more about each opportunity throughout the year.
EHS FUND
The EHS Fund is the School’s annual fund and the most important philanthropic gift we ask of community members. Gifts to the EHS Fund are unrestricted and used in the year they are given to support the people, programs, and experiences that define an EHS education.
Annual giving—made up of the EHS Fund and Auction—provides approximately 10% of the School’s operating budget and is essential to the strength of EHS.
This year, the EHS Fund aims to raise $2,340,000 and secure support from every Knight family by October 16, 2026.
AUCTION
The Auction is one of the School’s most beloved traditions, bringing together the whole community in support of EHS. Through event sponsorships, underwriting, auction donations, and purchases, the Auction has a goal of raising $1 million each year to support annual priorities while celebrating the spirit and community that make EHS so special.
This year’s event will feature an exciting new twist: an “Un-Gala” at The Rustic Uptown Park on Friday, February 19, 2027, with the online auction opening earlier in the month. Dust off your cowboy boots, gather your friends, and get ready to raise your paddles high for EHS!
STAND FOR EHS: THE CAMPAIGN
Stand for EHS is the School’s capital campaign, building upon the vision established by our Founders in 1983. Capital gifts support transformative projects and strategic priorities that will serve generations of students to come, ensuring that EHS remains a place of excellence, innovation, and opportunity.
We are currently focused on two key priorities: the renewal of the Benitez Chapel and the Endowment. The campaign includes a $37.3 million effort to renew the Benitez Chapel—including a new Wellness Center expected to open in early 2027, followed by the Chapel in early 2028—as well as a $5 million goal for the Endowment.
LEGACY SOCIETY
The Legacy Society honors individuals and families who have chosen to include Episcopal High School in their estate plans. Their generosity creates a lasting legacy, ensuring that future generations of students will experience the exceptional FourPillar education that defines EHS.
