أعتقد أننا ٌجب أن نحٌى المسؤولٌن عن مطار القاهرة للخدمة الراقٌة .وعندما توجد مشكلة، تجد على الفور هناك من ٌساعدك .وكنت أذهب إلى الصالة 2مثل التائه وال أعرف مكان الدخول من الخروج .وكانت هناك شكاوى عدٌدة ،ولكن ٌبدو أن هناك ٌدًا سحرٌة امتدت إلى هذه الصالة فتغٌر النظام تما ًما .وهناك تنظٌم رائع .وٌوجد من ٌرشدك إلى الصالة الصحٌحة للسفر .وعرفت أن وزٌر الطٌران ٌقوم بعمل مرور مفاجئ على صاالت المطار؛ لذلك تجد الخدمة الممتازة وصالة السفر واجهة مشرفة لمصر والمصرٌٌن. كثٌرا إلى األقصر .ولم ٌحدث خالل أى أسبوع أن عادت وهناك طلب واحد وهو أننى أسافر ً الطائرة من األقصر فى الموعد ،على الرغم من أن الرحلة تبدأ من القاهرة فى الموعد. وقد قمت بتسجٌل بالصوت والصورة عن مصر للطٌران باللغة العربٌة واإلنجلٌزٌة .وانتشر هذا التسجٌل فى كل مكان .وقلت« :بحب مصر للطٌران ،وهى أعظم شركة ألعظم بلد ،وعندما أضع قدمى داخل الطائرة ،أحس أننى وصلت مصر» .وطلبت من العالم كله أن ٌسافر على طائرات األمان. فشكرا للعاملٌن بصاالت مطار القاهرة .إنها صورة مشرفة لمصر أمام العالم كله. ً االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم الشركة القابضة لمصر للطيران
1 Report reveals painful final moments of Ethiopian plane crash
Last words of the pilot struggling A new report has shed more light on the ill-fated flight ET-302 with pilots said to have been unable to prevent the plane from nosediving despite following procedures. Although the pilot and first officer followed safety procedures recommended by Boeing, they couldn't stop the plane from going into a fatal dive. Flight ET302 took off from Addis Ababa at 08:38 local time for a twohour flight to Nairobi but six minutes later at 08:44, it crashed. The pilots contended with wild swings to either side and jerky climbs and fall before the Ethiopian Airlines flight ploughed nose-first into the ground.

2 Last moments of Flight ET302 According to the report, the impact was so great, both engines were buried at a depth of 10m in a crater 28m wide and 40m long. Data from flight recorders recovered at the crash site tell of the last moments of Flight ET302, and the instructions by Captain Yared Mulugeta did little to help control the plane, which investigators believe had multiple engineering flaws. Investigators indicated that the sensors mounted on either side of the plane gave contradicting information relating to the aircraft’s angle of flight. ―At 8.38am, shortly after liftoff, the left and right recorded the angle of attack
values deviated. Also, the airspeed, altitude and flight director pitch bar values from the left side noted deviating from the corresponding right side values,‖ the investigators stated. Last words from the pilots ―The left side values were lower than the right side values until near the end of the recording,‖ the report further reads. Captain Mulugeta directed the First Officer to contact the air traffic controllers at Bole International Airport seeking clearance to return. Clearance for a return to Bole Airport was granted, but Flight ET302 could not make it back as it ploughed into a recently cleared farm field some 60km from the airport. The last words from the pilots as the plane started to nosedive, after desperate attempts to point it back up, were ―left alpha vane‖.

Delta Air Lines has topped yet another airline ranking, this time the 29th annual Airline Quality Rating, which was released Monday. The rating examines the nation’s largest nine airlines based on data collected in 2018 of mishandled baggage, consumer complaints, on-time performance and involuntary denied boardings. The AQR claims to be the most comprehensive study of performance and quality of the U.S.'s largest airlines and is a joint research project of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona, campus. Delta was No. 2 in last year's AQR ranking, behind Alaska Airlines. But this year, Alaska fell to No. 4. Etihad Airways In Need Of A $600 Million Loan? Etihad, the struggling national airline of United Arab Emirates based in Abu Dhabi, has lost $4.8 billion over the past three years mainly due to soured investments into now bankrupt airlines such as Airberlin, Alitalia and Jet Airways. Abu Dhabi’s state-owned carrier is arranging the loan on its own and has reached out to banks that may be willing to provide the unsecured facility with maturity of one or two years, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private. A spokesman for Etihad Airways said the company doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation. Etihad Airways has 43 unfilled orders from the Boeing Co.’s 787 family, according to a Boeing January report. Conclusion This certainly isn’t interesting. Usually the sheikhs fund these airlines (Emirates, Etihad & Qatar) out from their pockets or via national investment vehicles rather than using banks that may require proper disclosure and audited financials. Also, the possible merger between Emirates and Etihad has been on the table for a while. There is a hardly a need for two hubs of Dubai and Abu Dhabi so close to each other. I guess that this happens when the owners of these two airlines are tired of red ink (Emirates is supposedly profitable). Etihad has been bleeding due to very bad airline investments in retrospect. The airline has canceled destinations and cut future airplane orders from both Boeing and Airbus.

Lufthansa's flight training arm grows simulator fleet Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) is in the process of installing seven new full-flight simulators (FFS) at various locations and will expand the company's facilities in Munich and Vienna over the next year. The Munich-headquartered pilot and flight attendant training subsidiary of Lufthansa Group says the effort is worth €89 million ($100 million) and represents the largest pilot training investment in LAT's history; its number of FFS will grow to 60 under the programme. In Frankfurt, LAT plans to install two Boeing 777-9 simulators and a combined Airbus Helicopters H135/145 simulator. Lufthansa is scheduled to receive its first 777-9 in 2020. A second Airbus A350 FFS is to be installed at LAT's Munich facility. The site, near Munich airport – which comprises two A320 FFS, one for A330/A340s and one for A350s – will be expanded to accommodate up to eight devices. In addition to the new A350 simulator, an existing Embraer 190 FFS will be transferred from LAT's Frankfurt campus to Munich. The remaining two slots will be available for future growth, LAT says. At its Berlin facility, LAT began operating a new A320 FFS in March and will install another one by June. However, the two A320 simulators are scheduled to be transferred to Vienna in 2020, once an extension of the company's facility there has been completed. A 737 Max simulator – the first in LAT's network – will be installed at the Berlin campus in 2020. The site, near Schonefeld airport, has been home to a 737NG simulator for several years. Leisure carrier Sun Express – jointly owned by Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines – operates a fleet of 737-800s and has Max jets on order. In Vienna, LAT is expanding its facility to accommodate seven simulators, from four today. Two slots will be used for the new A320 devices – which have initially been located in Berlin – while the third is for future growth, LAT says. "We are setting a decisive course for meeting the high customer demand in the future," says LAT chief executive and managing director Ola Hansson. The company says utilisation of its simulators is around 90%, which it describes as a "peak value" in the industry.

Uganda Airlines firms A330-800 order
Uganda Airlines has firmed its tentative order for a pair of Airbus A330800s, becoming the second airline to hold orders for the smaller A330neo variant. The airline had disclosed its provisional commitment to the twinjet during the Farnborough air show last year. Airbus says the carrier has converted the agreement to a firm order for the Rolls-Royce Trent 7000-powered aircraft, but has given little additional information about the deal. It says the airline will use the type to ―build its medium- and long-haul network‖. The carrier previously indicated it would configure the -800s with 20 business-class, 28 premium-economy and 213 economy-class seats. Kuwait Airways is the only other customer for the A330-800, with an order for eight. The -800 is still undergoing certification testing.

TAP Air Portugal adds first A321neo(LR)
TAP Air Portugal (TP, Lisbon) took delivery of its first A321neo(LR) on Friday, April 5. Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows CS-TXA (msn 8593) was ferried from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Lisbon where it is currently awaiting induction into service. According to Airbus, TAP has a total of twenty-two A321neo on order of which twelve are Long Range variants. Thus far, TAP has taken delivery of six standard-variant A321neo. TAP plans to use the LR's increased maximum take-off weight (MTOW) and additional fuel tanks to launch flights to secondary cities in Brazil the east coast of the United States and Canada, as well as Africa.
