http:// ww.youm7.com تعاون مشترك بٌن مركز تدرٌب مصر للطٌران وشركات الطٌران العربٌة كتب أحمد حمادة استقبل مركز تدرٌب مصر للطٌران رئٌس مجلس إدارة شركة الخطوط الجوٌة اللٌبٌة على رأس وفد لٌبٌا عالى المستوى من أجل بحث سبل التعاون المشترك لتدرٌب أطقم الطٌارٌن على طراز اإلٌرباص A320- A330وأطقم الضٌافة الجوٌة فى شركتهم الموقرة. وقال الطٌار محمد منار رئٌس مركز تدرٌب مصر للطٌران إن الوفد قام بمشاهدة عرض تفصٌلى لكل أنشطة المركز وأحدث البرامج التدرٌبٌة من أجهزة الطٌران التمثٌلى لتدرٌب الطٌارٌن التى تشمل طرازات إٌرباص A330-A340-A320وبوٌنج B777/ B737- 800وكذلك أجهزة تدرٌب الطوارئ وتقدٌم الخدمة ألطقم الضٌافة الجوٌة وسابقة الخبرة والعمالء الحالٌٌن من أنحاء العالم فى آسٌا وأفرٌقٌا وشرق أوروبا. وأوضح أنه تم االتفاق على بدء اتخاذ اإلجراءات التنفٌذٌة لعمل البرامج التدرٌبٌة المتفق علٌها لتدرٌب أطقم الطٌارٌن على طراز اإلٌرباص A330فى أقرب وقت ممكن. وجدٌر بالذكر أن مركز تدرٌب مصر للطٌران ٌقوم فى الوقت الحالى باإلاتفاق على تدرٌب أطقم الطٌارٌن والضٌافة الجوٌة ومهندسى صٌانة الطائرات التابعة لشركات الطٌران السودانٌة العامه والخاصة مثل شركة "الخطوط الجوٌة السودانٌة" و"بدر للطٌران" و"تاركو للطٌران" ،حٌث ٌشمل تدرٌب أطقم الضٌافة الجوٌة تدرٌبات نظرٌة وعملٌة على أجهزة طٌران تمثٌلى مختلفة مثل جهاز التدرٌب على إجراءات الطوارئ CEETوجهاز التدرٌب على طرق تقدٌم الخدمات للراكب ،CSTبواسطة مدربٌن مصرٌٌن مإهلٌٌن دولٌا ٌتمتعوا بخبرات متراكمة تعطى للمركز مٌزة نسبٌة عن باقى مراكز التدرٌب المنافسة فى الشرق األوسط، وسوؾ ٌقوم وفد من سلطة الطٌران السودانٌة بزٌارة قرٌبا لمركز تدرٌب مصر للطٌران لتجدٌد اعتماد المركز لتقدٌم الخدمات التدرٌبٌة للشركات السودانٌة. وعلى صعٌد آخر قام مدٌر عام التسوٌق بزٌارة لشركة الخطوط الجوٌة العراقٌة فى بؽداد لالتفاق على الخطوات التنفٌذٌة لتقدٌم الخدمات التدرٌبٌة للكوادر العراقٌة من أطقم الطٌارٌن والصٌانة الفنٌة للطائرات والضٌافة الجوٌة والعاملٌن فى مجال الشحن الجوى والخدمات األرضٌة على الطرازات المختلفة على أن ٌتم التدرٌب فعلٌا فى العاصمة العراقٌة بؽداد توفٌرا للنفقات على الجانب العراقى. ومن المخطط أن ٌستمر هذا التعاون المثمر لفترة طوٌلة قادمة مما ٌرسخ من روابط المشاركة بٌن مركز تدرٌب مصر للطٌران مع العدٌد شركات الطٌران العربٌة وحرصا من المركز على التواجد واالنتشار داخل القارة السمراء لٌزٌد من كفاءة العنصر البشرى لدى هذه الشركات ،وكذلك ٌدر عائدا مادٌا مجزٌا من العملة الصعبة.

http://www.elbalad.news خبراء وناشطون ٌدشنون حملة على مواقع التواصل لدعم مصر للطٌران كتب ــ محمد عبدالناصر : دشن عدد من خبراء الطٌران والناشطٌن حملة على مواقع التواصل االجتماعى لدعم شركة مصر للطٌران فى مواجهة تحدٌات داخلٌة وخارجٌة من شركات الطٌران المنافسة وسط دعوات لتطبٌق سٌاسة السماوات المفتوحة بمطار القاهرة. وحرص عدد من خبراء الطٌران والناشطٌن على استعراض مالمح قوة وتمٌز شركة مصر للطٌران ومواجهتها للتحدٌات الداخلٌة من شركات الطٌران الخاصة التى تعمل للحصول على حصتها من الرحالت فى مطار القاهرة ومكائد شركات الطٌران المنافسة خارج مصر وحرق أسعار التذاكر لضرب الشركة الوطنٌة المصرٌة. من بٌن خبراء الطٌران والناشطٌن محمد فتحى الذى ٌقول :انتشرت خالل الفترة السابقة إتهامات كثٌرة لمصر للطٌران بؤنها الشركة الوحٌدة التى ٌعمل الجمٌع داخل وزارة الطٌران المدنى لصالحها وهو ما نفاه أكثر من مصدر بالطٌران وأكدوا أن الجمٌع ٌتعامل بمبدأ الحٌاد وان الشركات الخاصة فى مصر تعمل دون وجود مشاكل أو معوقات داخل السوق المصرى وأن شركة مصر للطٌران تعانى فى الوقت الحالى من وجود خسائر متراكمة بصورة كبٌرة ولكن هذا نتٌجة وجود نقاط كثٌرة هى ماتفرق مصر للطٌران عن أى شركة طٌران أخرى داخل مصر. وهذه النقاط تتمثل فى التالى :أن مصر للطٌران ٌعمل بها ماٌقرب من ٖٓ ألؾ موظؾ وهو عدد كبٌر ال تملكه أى شركة أخرى وبالتالى فإن بند المرتبات التى تدفعه مصر للطٌران كبٌر جدا كما تسدد الشركة ضرائب كبٌرة للدولة وتتحمل قٌمة إٌجارٌة كبٌرة بسبب وجود مبانى ومنشآت لها كبٌرة جدا بمحٌط المطار وداخل الصاالت وأٌضا خارج مصر إلقامة مكاتب ونقاط بٌع للمحطات الخارجٌة. وٌقول فتحى :وتقوم مصر للطٌران بتسٌٌر حوال ٕٓٓ رحلة ٌومٌا مابٌن إقالع وهبوط بمعدل نجاح ٌومى ٌقارب الـ ٓٓٔ %حتى لو لم تكن رحالتها كاملة العدد فال تقوم بؤى إلؽاءات للرحالت كما تلتزم مصر للطٌران باالتفاقٌات والمعاهدات السٌاسٌة والتى تجبر الشركة الوطنٌة بتسٌٌر رحالت عدٌدة داخل القارة السمراء فقط لوجود التعاون السٌاسى والبد من الربط الجوى بتلك الدول حتى لو كانت رحالت تحقق خسائر دون تعوٌضها من الدولة عن ذلك كما تمتلك أسطوال ٌصل لـ (ٕ )ٙطائرة وهو عدد كبٌر بالنسبة لشركة مصرٌة. وتحتاج تلك الطائرات إلى صٌانة دورٌة تتكلؾ مالٌٌن الجنٌهات شهرٌا حتى ٌتم الحفاظ على األسطول بحالة ممتازة وٌساعد أسطولها الكبٌر فى تفادى إلؽاء أى رحلة عند تعطل إحدى طائراتها أو مواجهة اى مشكلة داخلٌة أو خارجٌة وٌتم إرسال طائرة بدٌلة فورا لتفادى الموقؾ وهو ما ٌكلؾ مصر للطٌران مصارٌؾ إقالع طائرة دون وجود مقابل ولكن ال تقوم بإلؽاء الرحلة من األساس. وٌضٌؾ خبٌر الطٌران فتحى :أن مصر للطٌران ملتزمة بتنفٌذ خطط إحالل وتجدٌد أسطولها باستمرار ولذلك تتكلؾ مالٌٌن الدوالرات حتى تحافظ على متوسط عمر األسطول التى تملكه إلى أقل معدل ممكن كما تصل رحالتها إلى نقاط بعٌدة المدى عبر طائراتها كبٌرة الحجم وهو ما ال تمتلكه أى شركة طٌران أخرى داخل مصر. كما تتواجد بشكل دائم فى األحداث الهامة التى تحدث بالمنطقة والعالم بداٌة من أحداث الصومال ونقل العشرات من المصرٌٌن من مطار مقدٌشٌو قبل ربع قرن وأثناء ؼزو الكوٌت وأحداث الٌمن ولٌبٌا وبفضلها تم إعادة جمٌع المصرٌٌن بالخارج دون تحملهم أى مبالػ مالٌة مقابل ذلك ورؼم كل ذلك فإن الشركة الوطنٌة تحاول الوقوؾ كما هى محافظة على مكانتها بٌن شركات الطٌران الكبٌرة واعتمادها الذاتى دون مساعدة من أحد ٌجعلها تحوذ على إعجاب الكثٌرٌن لذلك من الضرورى توفٌر الدعم الالزم للشركة الوطنٌة من المصرٌٌن قبل الحكومة.

Virtually all the foreign airlines spoken to by our correspondent said that they won‘t relocate their operations to Kaduna despite the appeal of the Federal Government for them to do so. The operators told SaharaReporters that they have already informed the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika that they would be suspending operations to Abuja the moment it is shut for total rehabilitation. For instance, British Airways in a statement signed by its Regional Commercial Manager West Africa, Mr. Kola Olayinka said that the airline considered several factors before deciding not to fly to Kaduna Airport. The statement reads: ―‗I can confirm that BA will not be operating to Kaduna during the planned closure of the Abuja Airport. ―Many factors were considered before this decision was reached, major ones are concern about the safety and security of our passengers as well as difficulties around some key operational issues. ―We are currently evaluating all options for our customers planning to travel at that time and we will be reaching out directly to them for information about their trip.‖

The letter was made exclusively available to our correspondent by a source close to the Ministry. The letter was signed by the Ag. Chief Commercial Officer, SAA, Mr. Aaron Munetsi. The letter read in part: ―SAA commends the Nigerian authorities concerning the planned repairs of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport runway. However, due to network and fleet operations planning, SAA regrets to advise that the airline will suspend its Abuja operations with effect from 6th March until April 18th 2017. ―The airline promised to be in constant touch with the Nigerian aviation authorities as the repair work progresses in order to establish its readiness for revised operations in accordance with the work schedule.‖ Besides, the media consultant to Lufthansa Airways, Mr. Hakeem Jimoh in a telephone conversation with our correspondent said that the carrier would not operate to Kaduna as directed by the government. Rather, he explained that the airline would continue to operate to Port Harcourt and Lagos, stressing that it would only return to Abuja Airport once it is re-opened for flight operations. He explained that the airline has already stopped the sales of Abuja airport tickets for passengers intending to travel to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from March 8, 2017. Jimo explained that passengers who had already booked ahead, the airline would offer them ―no fee booking option,‖ which would allow them to change their travel plans to Lagos and Port Harcourt Airports without collecting additional charges from them. He, however, said that for those who still prefer Abuja Airport to any of the alternatives offered by the airline, the management would make refunds to them without any charges. He said: ―There is no plan to operate to Kaduna Airport by the airline. We will soon suspend our operations to Abuja and return to the airport once it is re-opened for flight operations. We don‘t have any codeshare arrangement with any Nigerian airline at least for now. ―So, for those who have already book ahead, we will give them alternatives, which is either Lagos or Port Harcourt that we still fly into in the country. We will offer them ‗no-fee booking option,‘ which is the industry standards and if any passenger still doesn‘t want to fly with us, we will make a full refund of their payments to them without any charges.‖ Other airlines that operate into Abuja, but have declined to fly to Kaduna are Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines, EgyptAir, Air France and Lufthansa Airways. However, indigenous carriers have indicated their willingness to operate direct flights to Kaduna as from tomorrow. Dana Air in a press statement to journalist early this morning said I would commence four daily flights to the state from March 8, 2017.

The airline put the frequencies at 7.02am, 10.53, 13.23pm and 18.25pm, while there would be one flight each from Uyo and Port Harcourt to Kaduna keeping strictly to its scheduled time of departure. Also, Med-View in a statement by its media consultant hinted that it would as from Wednesday commence five daily flights to Kaduna from Lagos. The statement explained that with the schedule, all Med-View Airline flights to Maiduguri and Yola would be routed through Kaduna airport, but their departure and arrival time remain unchanged as well as flights originating from Lagos. Commenting on the increased frequencies, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the airline, Alhaji Muneer Bankole said the schedule was a proactive measure taken to ensure that all its numerous passengers going to Maiduguri and Yola have a seamless transition to their various destinations while flying Abuja-bound passengers to Kaduna. The troubled Nigerian Arik Air, has also announced a special promotional fare that would enable passengers to buy a one-way ticket to any destination in Nigeria from N16, 000 especially those on the Kaduna route. Arik also introduced a new schedule for the airport. The airline said that it would be operating three daily flights between Kaduna and Lagos and one daily flight between Kaduna and Accra, Ghana during this period. Abuja Airport runway was constructed in 1982 alongside the commissioning of the airport. Rather than the industry standards of 20 years before total overhauling, the runway was in use for 34 years without any major repairs. While it is closed, Abuja-bound passengers will have to fly to Kaduna and travel by bus to the capital, guarded by security agents, on a road where kidnappings have become recurrent in the last few years. The plans for Kaduna to handle Abuja flights have been met with skepticism. The airport handled just 12 flights in December 2015, the last month for which Nigeria‘s airports authority has figures, compared with 812 that used Abuja.

The national flag carrier has been suffering a collapse in its flight schedule for a while as three of its aircrafts is grounded at different airports in and outside the country, causing much inconvenience to its passengers. As of now, 25 scheduled flights have been cancelled, most of the others flights have been delayed by at least 12-14 hours. Speaking to the Dhaka Tribune on Monday, Biman General Manager Shakil Meraj said the airline‘s flight operation department would be able to depart around 50% of the flights on time by March 8 and another 25% flights by March 12. All the flights will depart on time by March 30, he added. Sources said one of Biman‘s dependable aircrafts, a Boeing 777-300ER, has remained grounded for nine days at Saudi Arabia‘s Dammam airport as the plane‘s left engine blade was severely damaged after being hit by a bird. A team of Biman engineers are ready to leave for Dammam for repair work as soon as they get Saudi visa. The repair work will take around a week, said a Biman official Another aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, is grounded in Indonesia for a D check – a major maintenance of an aircraft – which will take around a month. The third Biman aircraft that is not functional, a Boeing 777-200ER, has remained grounded in Dhaka airport for over a month due to engine damage. In addition, the two Boeing 777-200ER aircrafts that Biman took from EgyptAir on lease are unserviceable most of the time due to the poor condition of their engines, said a Biman engineer, requesting anonymity. These two aircrafts, designated to operate Biman‘s Dhaka-New York flights, have been grounded at least 20 times last year. According to the lease agreement, EgyptAir is obligated to replace the engines, but the process is lengthy. Although the engines have still not been replaced, Biman is having to pay Tk10 crore per month according to the agreement. Added to that is the aircrafts‘ maintenance costs, which Biman is paying for as well. The situation is likely to improve a little after return of the VVIP flight that took Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Indonesia on Monday. When Biman operates a VVIP flight, it keeps two aircrafts grounded for 24 hours ahead of the departure for security concerns.

AFRAA Demands Progress On African Open Skies Liberalization It is fast approaching 20 years since a November 1999 conference held in Ivory Coast at which 44 African states adopted the Yamoussoukro Decision (YD), which called for an open skies air transport policy across the continent. But at the recent Aviation Africa conference held in the Rwandan capital Kigali delegates heard that implementation is still far from complete and that Africa is failing to fully reap the benefits of liberalizing access to air routes. ―The challenges of liberalization are crystal clear. We need to embrace liberalization as a concept,‖ said Elijah Chingosho, secretary general and CEO of the Kenya-based African Airlines Association (AFRAA) in the conference‘s opening session. He advocated that states willing to fully embrace the liberalization called for under the YD should press ahead with these policies and ―forget about the rest.‖ Rwanda was one of the original YD signatories and one of just 11 states to commit to implementing fully open skies. In Chingosho‘s view, full implementation is now a ―pipe dream‖ but he insisted it should remain a goal, claiming that it has delivered ―significant economic benefits‖ to those that have stayed the course. Fifteen states are now full signatories of the YD: Benin, Botswana, Cape Verde, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Opening Aviation Africa, Rwandan President Paul Kagame echoed Chingosho‘s sentiments. ―We remain focused on the growth of aviation in Africa, not out of necessity, but by choice,‖ he told delegates. ―Removing barriers is not enough. We must consistently exceed expectations in order to [prosper] globally. The YD still needs to be fully implemented. Africa is more connected with other continents than it is with itself.‖ Flagcarrier Rwandair is winning plaudits with its modern, 11-strong fleet, which includes two Airbus A330s and three Boeing 737-800NGs (with a fourth due to arrive this year). It flies to 19 African and Middle East destinations and has plans to expand into Europe, India and the U.S.

www.ainonline.com Chingosho has been a consistent advocate for liberalization despite growing competition for African carriers, especially from wealthier European and Middle East airlines. ―Some 23 African countries have signed open skies agreements with the U.S., while very few African countries have fully liberalized their skies in compliance with the YD,‖ he said. He cited the case of South African Airlines, which he claimed has stumbled along for decades with bail-outs totaling as much as $2 billion. ―How can we liberalize airlines when we are overtaxing them?‖ he asked in reference to what he argued are unprogressive fiscal policies for air transport in some African countries. Funds blocked by governments or other agencies in certain countries, often for ticketing and other services, are severely undermining profitability, according to AFRAA. ―Some $1.8 billion of airlines' money is locked up in African countries,‖ Chingosho said. Separately, he alleged that the European Union is selectively imposing safety bans on some African carriers. AFRAA also is concerned about what he views as an uncompetitive air transport cost structure in Africa. For instance, passenger charges at many airports in Africa vary from $40 to $120—significantly higher than the global average of $25. The price of fuel in Africa is 2.5 times higher than in the rest of the world, the organization claims. With profits of $250 million in 2015, Chingosho pointed to Ethiopian Airlines as an African success story, claiming it is among the best airlines in the world. Its West African affiliate, Togo-based Asky, founded in 2010, now flies to 23 destinations, bringing intra-regional traffic in that part of Africa to 20 percent of movements, higher than the continent‘s 12-15 percent average. In 2016, the two fatal accidents on scheduled flights in Africa were likely terrorist-related, according to AFRAA. ―This translates to zero safety-related airline accidents last year. There are efforts by various stakeholders to enhance a safety culture yielding positive results,‖ said Chingosho. Founded in Accra, Ghana, in 1968, and now headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, AFRAAclaims a membership of 37 airlines representing 85 percent of the total international traffic carried by African airlines. ―According to IATA, African airlines made a loss of $700 million in 2015, a record loss that was followed by another record loss of $800 million in 2016. This year is expected to [see the same losses] as 2016,‖ Chingosho reported. ―To reverse this state of affairs, the quest for a single aviation market should not be allowed to fail,‖ Chingosho concluded. ―Failure would result in the African airline industry following the footsteps of the once-thriving African shipping industry, which has now virtually disappeared.‖

The Africa Hotel Investment Forum (AHIF) will again run alongside AviaDev Africa from October 10-12 in Kigali and is expected to attract more than 1,000 aviation and hospitality sectors experts, investors and government officials from 45 countries. Experts say the opportunity to host the event for second successive time in as many years follows last year‘s hugely successful summit in Kigali. The development is also a huge boost to the country‘s efforts to position itself as a Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) hub in the region. Clare Akamanzi, the chief executive officer of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), said the summit is a vital opportunity for the country to showcase its business and investment potential. ―I foresee many new business relationships and partnerships forged during the summit,‖ Akamanzi said in a statement yesterday. She added that the conference is yet another opportunity for the private sector to share experience and expertise with their counterparts from across the continent and beyond. Air Cargo Off to a Solid Start in 2017 Geneva - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), rose 6.9% in January 2017 compared to the year-earlier period. While this was down from the 10% annual growth recorded in December 2016 it still was well above the average annual growth rate of 3% over the past five years. Growth in freight capacity, measured in available freight tonne kilometers (AFTKs), slowed to 3.5% in January 2017. The continued positive momentum in freight growth into 2017 coincides with a steady rise in new export orders, which reached their highest level in February (latest data available) since March 2011. There has also been an increase in the shipment of silicon materials typically used in high-value consumer electronics shipped by air. The timing of the Lunar New Year (in January 2017) also may have contributed to higher demand in January. ―It‘s been a good start to the year for air cargo. Demand growth accelerated in January, bolstered by strengthening export orders. And that outpaced the capacity growth which should be positive for yields. And, longer-term, the entry into force of the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) will cut red tape at the borders for faster, cheaper and easier trade. The onus is now on the industry to seize the opportunity to accelerate the modernization of processes to make air cargo an even more compelling option for shippers,‖ said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA‘s Director General and CEO.

Regional performance All regions, with the exception of Latin America, reported an increase in demand in January 2017. Asia-Pacific airlines saw demand in freight volumes grow 6.0% in January 2017 and capacity increase by 6.6%, compared to the same period in 2016. Seasonally-adjusted volumes were up considerably since early-2016 and are now back to the levels reached in 2010 during the post-global financial crisis bounce-back. The increase in demand is captured in the positive outlook from business surveys in the region. China‘s Purchasing Managers Index )PMI( rose to a 21-month high, Japan‘s PMI to a 36-month high, while Taiwan, Korea, and Vietnam also reported increases in new export orders. North American airlines‘ freight volumes expanded 6.1% in January 2017 year-on-year, as capacity increased 0.6%. International freight volumes grew by 8.7% – their fastest pace since the US seaports disruption boosted demand in February 2015. The strength of the US dollar continued to pump up the inbound market but kept the export market under pressure. European airlines posted an 8.7% increase in freight volumes in January 2017. Capacity increased 3.3%. The strong European performance corresponds with an increase in reported new export orders, particularly in Germany over the last few months. It was also helped in part by the ongoing weakness in the Eurozone. Middle Eastern carriers' freight volumes increased 8.4% year-onyear in January 2017 and capacity increased 3.3%. Seasonally adjusted freight volumes continued to trend upwards during the first month of the year supported by an increase between the Middle East and Europe. Despite this, growth has eased from the double-digit rates which were the norm over the past ten years. This corresponds with a slowdown in network expansion by the region‘s major carriers.

Latin American airlines experienced a demand contraction of 4.1% in January 2017 compared to the same period in 2016 and a decrease in capacity of 1.4%. Recovery in the seasonally-adjusted volumes also stalled with demand 13% lower than at the peak in 2014. The region continues to be blighted by weak economic and political conditions. African carriers' saw freight demand increase by 24.3% in January 2017 compared to the same month last year, helped by very strong growth on the trade lanes to and from Asia. Demand between the two continents jumped by 57% in January on the back of rapid long-haul expansion and increased direct services. The increase in demand has helped the region‘s seasonally adjusted load factor to rise after falling by five percentage points in 2016 compared to the previous year. World Cargo Symposium The positive start to the year will set an optimistic backdrop for the World Cargo Symposium which will gather the air cargo industry in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 14-16 March.
