حوار لفنانة عالمٌة ٌثٌر غضبا ضد مجلة مصرٌة ومصر للطٌران المصدر :القاهرة – أشرف عبد الحمٌد
أثار حوار منسوب للفنانة األمٌركٌة العالمٌة #درٌو_بارٌمور نشر فً مجلة #حورس التً تصدرها شركة #مصر_للطٌران ،وتوزع على الركاب المسافرٌن على طائراتها ،دوٌا كبٌرا وعاصفة غضب بعدما تردد أنه مفبرك. بداٌة القصة عندما كشف الكاتب األمٌركً آدم بارون حوارا منشورا فً مجلة "حورس" مع الممثلة العالمٌة درٌو بارٌمور ،وعقب قراءته ،كتب تغرٌدة على صفحته على موقع "توٌتر" قال فٌها :هل هذه أم سرٌالٌة. أحدثت تغرٌدة بارون دوٌا كبٌرا ،واعتبرها مغردون مصرٌون إساءة للشركة الوطنٌة المصرٌة، وللمجلة الصادرة عنها ،وللصحافٌة التً كتب اسمها على الحوار ،وتداول آخرون المقابلة بشكل واسع ،وأكدوا أنها مفبركة ،وأن ما بها من تصرٌحات على لسان الممثلة ال ٌمكن أن ٌصدر منها ،معتبرٌن أن ما حدث ٌمثل إساءة للشركة الوطنٌة المصرٌة وٌضرب مصداقٌتها فً مقتل. الحوار الذي أجرته مراسلة المجلة بدأ بمقدمة تسرد تارٌخ عالقات وزٌجات بارٌمور ،وتصفها بالزٌجات الفاشلة ،وأنها كان لدٌها أكثر من 17عالقة وخطبة وزواجا ،وحتى اآلن لم تنجح فً أي عالقة ألسباب مختلفة ،كما قالت المجلة. "العربٌة.نت" اتصلت بدٌنا الفولً ،المتحدث اإلعالمً لوزارة الطٌران المدنً المصرٌة ،لكنها رفضت الرد ،فٌما صدر تصرٌح مقتضب من مصدر مسؤول بشركة مصر للطٌران رافضا ذكر اسمه ،أكد فٌه صحة المقابلة التً أجرتها عاٌدة تكال ،مراسلة المجلة والرئٌسة السابقة لرابطة الصحافة األجنبٌة فً هولٌوود. مصدر آخر بالشركة رفض ذكر اسمه أٌضا أكد أن الممثلة األمٌركٌة التقط لها صور وهً تقرأ مجلة "حورس" أثناء المقابلة ،الفتا إلى أن فرٌق عمل الممثلة اعترض فقط على بعض الكلمات الموجودة فً المقدمة. أمل فوزي ،رئٌسة تحرٌر المجلة ورئٌسة تحرٌر مجلة "نصف الدنٌا" ،رفضت الرد أٌضا رغم االتصاالت المتعددة بها من جانب "العربٌة.نت" ،لكنها أزاحت بعض الغموض عن القصة، بتدوٌنة لها على صفحتها على موقع التواصل االجتماعً فٌسبوك.

ودافعت فوزي عن مراسلة المجلة ،وقالت إن مراسلة المجلة ترسل حواراتها مع الفنانٌن العالمٌٌن فً عشر أو خمس عشرة صفحة بحسب حجم اللقاء ،كما تقوم بتصوٌر الفنان والضٌف مع مجلة "حورس" أو "نصف الدنٌا " اللتٌن تتعامل معهما ،مضٌفة أنه بعد أن ترسل موضوعاتها ٌكون لزاما اختصار الحوار لحوار واحد أو حوارٌن بحسب الصور المرسلة. وأضافت أنه بالنسبة لحوار الممثلة العالمٌة بارٌمور كان المطلوب حوارا ال ٌزٌد عن خمسة أو ستة أسئلة فقط لمجلة "حورس" لضٌق المساحة ،وقامت المترجمة بدمج األسئلة واإلجابات ولم تترجمها حرفٌا ،بل ترجمتها بمعناها فً المجمل ،باإلضافة إلى أنها قامت بعمل مقدمة عن النجمة العالمٌة ،مشٌرة إلى أن مراسلة المجلة الدكتورة عاٌدة تكال تترك لهم حرٌة عمل المقدمة. وكشفت رئٌسة التحرٌر أن المقدمة القاسٌة بحسب وصف مدٌر أعمال الممثلة العالمٌة خالل محادثة هاتفٌة أجراها مع المراسلة ،قال فٌها إنه ال ٌنكر قٌامها بالحوار ،ولكنه ٌعترض على المقدمة ،مؤكدا أن التصرٌحات لٌست كما قالت الممثلة حرفٌا. وذكرت رئٌسة تحرٌر المجلة أنها تحدثت مع المسؤولٌن فً جمعٌة الكتاب ،الذٌن أوصوا أن ٌتم االلتزام الكامل فً الحوارات المقبلة بكالم الضٌف حرفٌا ،وعدم االعتماد على المدلول أو المعنى مثلما ٌحدث حالٌا. وقالت فوزي إن الدكتورة عاٌدة تكال محررة الحوار قالت إن حوار دوربري مور تم فً اللقاء الصحافً الذي أجرته الممثلة فً نٌوٌورك مع أعضاء الجمعٌة ،وأعلنت ذلك فً فٌدٌو أعد خصٌصا للرد على أي تشكٌك حول صحة المقابلة.

أعلنت الشركة الوطنٌة مصرللطٌران عن قبول دفعة جدٌدة من الطٌارٌن المصرٌٌن تحت التدرٌب والبالغ عددهم 260طٌار لالنضمام لشركتً مصر للطٌران للخطوط الجوٌة ومصر للطٌران للخطوط الداخلٌة واالقلٌمٌة اكسبرٌس طبقا للمحددات الواردة باالعالن ،صرح بذلك الطٌار أحمد عادل رئٌس الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران. وأضاف عادل فى بٌان" كما أعلنت الشركة الوطنٌة عن قبول دفعة جدٌدة من الشباب الذكور واألناث بالغ عددها 300فرد للعمل بقطاع الضٌافة الجوٌة بالشركة لمواكبة خطة تحدٌث أسطول الشركة الوطنٌة التى تتم حالٌا والتى تستهدف زٌادة حجم األسطول وتوسعة شبكة الخطوط". ٌأتى ذلك فى إطار توجٌهات الفرٌق ٌونس المصرى وزٌر الطٌران المدنً وتماشٌا مع سٌاسة الدولة بتوفٌر فرص عمل وتدرٌب للشباب المصرٌٌن سواء داخل قطاع الطٌران المدنى المصرى أو تأهٌلهم لسوق العمل بالخارج ومن منطلق الدور الوطنً لمصرللطٌران الناقل الجوى لجمهورٌة مصر العربٌة.

www.mobtada.com «مبتدا» ٌنفرد بتفاصٌل إعالن مصر للطٌران لوظائف الضٌافة الجوٌة •حنان عز الدٌن أعلنت الشركة الوطنٌة "مصر للطٌران" عن قبول دفعة جدٌدة من الذكور واإلناث والبالغ عددها 300فرد للعمل بقطاع الضٌافة الجوٌة. وٌنفرد "مبتدا" بتفاصٌل إعالن الشركة وشروط القبول لوظٌفة 33مضٌ ًفا و 267مضٌفة جوٌة ،وٌجب أن ٌتوافر فى المتقدمٌن الشروط اآلتٌة" :أن ٌكون المتقدم حاصل على مؤهل عال لغات أو ثانوى عام ،وأن ٌجٌد اللغه اإلنجلٌزٌة إجادة تامة ،وأال ٌقل السن عن 18سنة ٍ وال ٌزٌد عن 25سنة من تارٌخ قبول الطلبات ،وأن ٌجتاز االختبارات التى تقررها الشركة". وأضافت مصادر لـ"مبتدا" أنه من ضمن الشروط أٌضا" :أال ٌقل المتقدم عن 160سم على أن ٌتناسب مع الوزن و أن ٌكون المتقدم من أبناء محافظة القاهرة الكبرى أو المقٌمٌن فٌها إقامه دائمة على أن ٌكون العنوان مدوننا ببطاقة تحقٌق الشخصٌة ،وبالنسبة للذكور فالبد من االنتهاء من تأدٌة الخدمة العسكرٌة "قدوة حسنة" أواإلعفاء منها أو لم ٌصبه الدور أو تحت الطلب لمده 3سنوات". وأفادت المصادر أنه ٌتم تقدٌم الطلبات على موقع شركة مصر للطٌران للخطوط الجوٌة careers.egyptair.comوذلك خالل الفترة من 7إلى 18من الشهر الجارى ،على أن ٌتم تقدٌم صورة من المستندات التالٌة فى أول اختبار تقرره الشركة ،وهى صورة المؤهل الدارسى وبطاقة الرقم القومى "سارٌة" وصورة شهاده المٌالد والسٌرة الذاتٌة باللغه اإلنجلٌزٌة. وأكدت المصادر أنه لن ٌتم االعتداد بأى طلبات غٌر مستوفٌة الشروط الواردة وتورد المصروفات اإلدارٌة المقررة بواقع 50جنٌها لخزٌنة الشركة "ال ترد". جاء ذلك لمواكبة خطة تحدٌث أسطول الشركة الوطنٌة وتوسعة شبكة الخطوط وتماش ًٌا مع سٌاسة الدولة بتوفٌر فرص عمل وتدرٌب الشباب المصرٌٌن سواء داخل قطاع الطٌران المدنى المصرى أو تأهٌلهم لسوق العمل بالخارج ومن منطلق الدور الوطنى لمصر للطٌران الناقل الجوى لجمهورٌة مصر العربٌة.

عقدت الشركة القابضة للمطارات والمالحة الجوٌة برئاسة الطٌار احمد جنٌنة ،اجتماعات مع الجهات األمنٌة بالمطار لبحث ملف البوابات األمنٌة الجدٌدة الخاصة بدخواللسٌارات ،والتً تم تركٌبها علً مداخل مطار القاهرة الدولً منذ فبراٌر الماضً ،وكان من المفترض تشغٌلها خالل ابرٌل الماضً اال انه تم تأجٌل تشغٌل البوابات الكثر من 6شهور . وقالت مصادر مطلعة داخل الشركة إنه تم مراجعة المالحظات األمنٌة ،ومن المقرر أن ٌتم عقد اجتماعات مع الجهات األمنٌة والشركة المنفذة للبوابات خالل الفترة المقبل ةلتذلٌل العقبات ،ووضع الترتٌبات النهائٌة لبدء التشغٌل التجرٌبً للبوابات ،خاصة ان الشركة قامت بصرف مبالغ مالٌة كبٌرة لتأمٌن المطار بشراء 4بوابات جدٌدة للكشف علً السٌارات المترددة علً المطار .

IATA Senior Management Appointment
Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that Karen Clayton will join IATA as the Association‟s Corporate Secretary effective April 2019. Clayton comes to IATA from Air New Zealand where she has held the role of General Counsel and Company Secretary since 2016. As Corporate Secretary, Clayton will ensure the integrity of IATA‟s governance framework, including management of the Association‟s Board of Governors and its various committees. The IATA Board of Governors is elected by the Association‟s 290-strong membership and consists of CEOs from 31 airlines and IATA‟s Director General and CEO. As a member of IATA‟s Strategic Leadership Team, Karen will also support the Director General and CEO with advice and input on IATA‟s strategic plans and industry initiatives. Karen will take over IATA‟s Corporate Secretary role from Paul Steele who is currently IATA‟s Corporate Secretary and Senior Vice President for Member and External Relations. When Karen joins IATA in April 2019, Steele will focus on strengthening IATA‟s advocacy activities in his continued role as Senior Vice President for Member and External Relations. “Karen brings with her a wealth of experience that will ensure the continued effective management of IATA‟s governance processes. Moreover, her industry expertise, leadership on diversity and inclusion, and strategic boardroom experience will contribute to IATA‟s overall success in fulfilling its mission to represent, lead and serve the global airline industry,” said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA‟s Director General and CEO. .

A national of the United Kingdom, Karen holds a Law Degree from Sheffield University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Exeter University. She was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1999. After beginning her career in legal firms in the UK and Australia, Karen moved into corporate practice where she served as General Counsel and Company Secretary at National Grid Plc, then General Counsel at Mercury NZ Ltd, prior to joining Air New Zealand. Throughout her career, Karen has been a keen advocate of diversity and inclusion.

In Horus's glossy pages a Q&A with the child actor-turnedHollywood star took centre stage, with Barrymore waxing lyrical on her weight, motherhood and previous relationships. But after Yemen analyst Adam Barron tweeted out images of the magazine's interview with the Hollywood star, calling it "surreal", the article piqued the attention of social media users, who began to question whether Egypt's national carrier had secured an interview with her at all.

More than 30.2 million jobs in the Asia Pacific region are currently being supported by the aviation and related sectors, and the number is expected to rise to 44 million by 2036. This is according to the report Aviation: Benefits Beyond Borders, released by the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG). More than a third of global passenger traffic comes from the Asia-Pacific, making it the busiest air transport region in the world. = ATAG‟s executive director Michael Gill said that by 2036, aviation in the region is expected to support 44 million jobs and US$1.7 trillion (SG$2.35 trillion) in economic activity. Among the key drivers for growth will be the sustainable development of air transport as part of national growth plans. Passengers in the region have also taken advantage of lower ticket prices over the past decades. Aviation creates 65.5 million jobs around the world.

www.thenational.ae UAE marks aviation industry milestones Eighty-six years ago, the first plane to carry passengers to UAE landed in Sharjah with four passengers. That fateful day, when the pioneering journey was made, is now commemorated annually as UAE Civil Aviation Day. Sultan Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, established the anniversary in 2014, saying the government sought to recognise “the concerted efforts by the aviation industry in the past decades that resulted in remarkable progress and cutting-edge development." Much has changed since that first plane landed in Sharjah. The country‟s aviation industry has grown exponentially with Dubai alone handling 88.2 million passengers last year. In Abu Dhabi, passenger numbers at the international airport have grown from just over 9 million in 2008 to 23.4 million last year and serves 90 destinations in 53 countries. That growth was spurred on with the establishment of two local carriers. Emirates began operations in 1985 with just two aircraft and today, the Dubai carrier commands a fleet of more than 265 planes. In 2003, Etihad was established following a royal decree. Its passenger numbers have grown from 18.5 million a year from 6.8 million in 2008 and has 120 planes flying travellers across the globe. On Friday, president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, took to Twitter to comment on the evolution of the country‟s aviation industry. "Today marks #UAE_Civil_Aviation_Day,” he said. “The vision of our leaders has made a major industry player and we continue to collectively build our competitive edge. I'm confident our aviation sector will continue to leave a lasting mark benefiting UAE‟s future generations."

The conundrum for airlines: should we carry live animals for medical research? Live animal transport has been in the spotlight recently: the death of several pets in the care of airlines has been much reported. And the airlines have responded with new products. This week, Flydubai launched a live animal transport service and Delta Airlines announced it had teamed up with CarePod, a pet technology start-up that has developed “new standards of safety and care for pet air travel”. However, far less frequently reported is the battle between airlines and the US National Association for Biomedical Research (NABR). Over the past five years or so, airlines have come under immense pressure from organisations such as PETA to stop flying animals to medical research centres. AirBridgeCargo appears to be the latest to succumb to the arguments, ending the practice in July (despite the limited backlash likely to be suffered by a freighter operator as opposed to a passenger carrier). But now it appears the medical research industry is fighting back – putting the airlines in the unenviable position of „damned if they do, damned if they don‟t‟. According to documents filed with the US Department of Transportation, the NABR, on behalf of its members, has claimed that four airlines are illegally discriminating against shippers that “seek to transport animals for purposes of live animal research undertaken at medical and other research facilities”.
theloadstar.co.uk It argued that the airlines would happily carry the same animals, when destined for a zoo or as pets, proving there is no transport or safety factors. Instead, airlines are trying to avoid “political criticism, regardless of legitimate customer needs”, it claims. Which is clearly true. But not illegal. NABR is seeking “appropriate remedies”, including cease and desist orders, civil penalties and “to end and correct this continued illegal refusal to transport animals that are destined for research facilities”. It‟s an interesting case, which appears to have caught the eye of many interested parties. NABR is backed up by numerous universities, schools and medical research organisations. On the other side are more than 9,000 comments from individuals – not of course necessarily backing the airlines‟ right to choose, but many criticising animal research itself. And the airlines – British Airways (BA), Qatar Airways, China Southern and United Airlines – are fighting back, claiming that none of the four complaints has a legal basis and suggests that 27 other airlines which ban the practice are also named. The first complaint, argues BA, that “an air carrier … may not subject a person, place, port, or type of traffic in foreign air transportation to unreasonable discrimination”, has already been fought in court. A ruling on a hunting trophy case held that: “Delta is free to hold itself out as a carrier of some, but not all, hunting trophies, even if the justification for that decision is the avoidance of adverse publicity.”

BA went on to argue that the law “does not prohibit all discrimination; it prohibits only „unreasonable‟ discrimination. British Airways may discriminate in what it chooses to transport as long as it does not discriminate as to the shippers for whom it transports”. The next NABR argument is more spurious: it points to the regulation stating that “a carrier may refuse to transport a passenger or property the carrier decides is, or might be, inimical to safety”. BA argues that this is irrelevant: the law “does not impose an affirmative obligation on carriers and it most certainly cannot be construed as even remotely requiring carriers to transport animals for purposes of live animal research”. The next count, that an airline “shall establish, comply with, and enforce reasonable prices, classifications, rules, and practices”, has only been enforced in cases of “invidious discrimination”, on the basis of race, creed, religion, age or sex. The NABR‟s final salvo is the rule that “an air carrier shall transport as baggage the property of a passenger traveling in air transportation that may not be carried in an aircraft cabin”. BA rebuts with a request that, if that is the case, the DoT “should immediately initiate an investigation of Southwest Airlines, given that Southwest‟s website displays the following Q&A: Q, will pets be allowed in cargo? A: under no circumstances will we accept pets in the cargo bin. Southwest Airlines only accepts cats and dogs in-cabin.” Or JetBlue, which states: “At this time, we do not ship live animals as cargo or in the bellies of any aircraft.” BA‟s filing concludes: “Accordingly, there is no basis for any further action … and the department should close this investigation immediately… Alternatively … it should direct NABR to serve the complaint on all the other named carriers and provide an opportunity for those carriers to respond”. It is, as Qatar Airways points out, unclear as to why these four carriers have been singled out..

Qatar‟s response, similar to China Southern‟s, also points out that it is “neither a pharmaceutical nor a medical research company” and therefore cannot respond to the NABR‟s six pages of arguments about the benefits of animal testing. It‟s an interesting conundrum. While there may, perhaps, be some personal beliefs influencing decisions at the airlines, the biggest argument for banning the transport of live animals for research is bad publicity. But conversely, these airlines are also jumping at the opportunity to carry pharmaceuticals, many of which have been tested on animals, as a legal requirement. And how do they get animals? They must be trucked, or shipped, at far greater risk to the animals‟ welfare. It‟s a tough choice. But it must be a choice. Airlines should get to choose what they carry, whether it‟s lithium batteries or dangerous goods, pets or perishables, they have to be able to make that choice, dependent on their capabilities, their responsibility to passengers and crew and their ethics and ethos. But what does seem a shame is that so many airlines have in fact been unable to choose; it could be argued that bullying by animal rights organisations has forced a whole industry to restrict the lawful carriage of some animals destined to help develop life-saving drugs. And that‟s where the NABR should place its focus; not on the airlines themselves.
