جاء بتفكٌر عمٌق،ان ٌتولى قٌادة الطٌران واولً شركات الشرق «مصر للطٌران» احد ابناءها ذو الخبرة النادرة ،له خبرات متعددة فى مجالة تولى الكابتن طبار احمد عادل ابرز واهم طٌارى مصر للطٌران من قادتها الشباب ،برز اسمة كاحد القٌادات وبرع فى مواقعة التً توالها جمٌعا ،فؤصدر وزٌر الطٌران الفرٌق طٌار ٌونس المصرى قرارا بتكلٌف الطٌار احمد عادل ،للقٌام بؤعمال رئٌس مجلس إدارة الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران ،خل ًفؤ ً لألستاذ صفوت مسلم ،الذى قام الوزٌر بشكره على جهوده خالل الفترة الماضٌة. جدٌر بالذكر أن الطٌار احمد عادل هو قائد طراز ثقٌل ( اٌرباص )340/330وكان ٌشغل منصب مساعد رئٌس مجلس إدارة الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران . كما تم تعٌٌن اللواء طٌار طارق فوزى رئٌسا للشركة المصرٌة للمطارات حٌث كان ٌشغل منصب رئٌس قطاع التنمٌة اٍالدارٌة والموارد البشرٌة بالشركة القابضة للمطارات والمالحة الجوٌة خلفا ً للطٌار محمد سالم مصٌلحى ،كما تم تعٌٌن المهندس احمد فوزى عبد العظٌم رئٌسا لمجلس ادارة شركة مٌناء القاهرة الجوى حٌث كان ٌشغل منصب مساعد لرئٌس مجلس اِدارة الشركة المصرٌة للمطارات للشئون الفنٌة خلفا ً للسٌد المحاسب مجدى اسحاق لبذى ٌرو فى موقعة وادى مهام عمٌقة . ٌذكر أن الطٌار احمد عادل قرر تعٌٌنه قائما ً بؤعمال رئٌس مجلس إدارة الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران اعتبارا من الٌوم الخمٌس ولحٌن انعقاد الجمعٌة العامة لمصر للطٌران. وكان ٌشغل عدة مناصب داخل مصرللطٌران آخرها مساعد رئٌس الشركة القابضة لمصر للطٌران عام ،2013كما كان ٌشغل منصب مدٌراً عاما ً لإلدارة العامة للتدرٌب عام .2009 ثم نائبا ً لرئٌس قطاع العملٌات الجوٌة بشركة مصر للطٌران للخطوط الجوٌة عام 2010وحتى ٌ ،2012لٌها منصب نائب رئٌس مجلس إدارة شركة مصر للطٌران للخطوط الداخلٌة واإلقلٌمٌة (إكسبرٌس) عام ،2013وكذلك رئٌسا ً لقطاع العملٌات الجوٌة فً ٌونٌو ،2013وقد حصل على درجة قائد طراز ثقٌل عام 1999هذا فضالً عن رئاسته العدٌد من اللجان الهامة داخل مصرللطٌران.

"مصر للطٌران" تسٌر 214رحلة من وإلى مطار القاهرة لنقل أكثر من 19ألف راكب كتب محمد طنطاوى
تسٌر الشركة الوطنٌة "مصر للطٌران" الٌوم االثنٌن 205رحلة من والى مختلف العواصم العربٌة والعالمٌة والمدن الداخلٌة المصرٌة لنقل اكثر من 19ألف راكب مصرى وأجنبى إلى وجهاتهم.
وأفاد مصدر مالحى أن مصر للطٌران تسٌر 108طائرات من مطار القاهرة الدولى لنقل نحو 9آالف و 427راك ًبا إلى العواصم العربٌة والعالمٌة والمدن الداخلٌة المصرٌة ،كما تسٌر مصر للطٌران 106 رحالت من العواصم العربٌة والعالمٌة والمدن الداخلٌة المصرٌة إلى مطار القاهرة لنقل 9آالف و 732راك ًبا. وأوضح المصدر أن مركز العملٌات لم ٌتلق حتى اآلن أى إخطار بإلغاء أى رحلة من رحالت الشركة فى مرحلتى اإلقالع والوصول.

انتظام الحركة الركابٌة والجوٌة بمطار القاهرة باستثناء 4رحالت محمود السعدى
كبٌرا شهدت الحركة الجوٌة والركابٌة بمطار القاهرة الدولً ،الٌوم األحد ،انتظا ًما ً فى عملٌات إقالع وهبوط الطائرات باستثناء تؤخر إقالع 4رحالت دولٌة بسبب ظروف التشغٌل واألعطال الفنٌة المفاجئة ،حٌث تم اتخاذ كافة اإلجراءات والتدابٌر المتبعة فى تلك الحاالت. وكان برج المراقبة الجوٌة بمطار القاهرة قد تلقى إخطار من شركة الخطوط الجوٌة العمانٌة ٌفٌد بتؤخر إقالع رحلتها رقم 408والمتجهة إلى مسقط ،وتؤخر إقالع رحلة طٌران " الجزٌرة " المتجهة إلى الكوٌت رقم 91414والمتجهة الى الكوٌت بسبب األعطال الفنٌة المفاجئة. كما تلقى إخطار من شركة الخطوط الجوٌة التابعة لشركة طٌران "االتحاد " ٌفٌد بتؤخر إقالع الرحلة رقم 658والمتجهة إلى ابوظبى ،وتؤخر إقالع رحلة المصرٌة للطٌران رقم 510والمتجهة إلى الكوٌت بسبب األعطال الفنٌة المفاجئة وظروف وكثافة التشغٌل.
وقامت السلطات األمنٌة بالتنسٌق مع الجهات المعاونة بتسهٌل إجراءات سفر باقى ركاب الرحالت األخرى لعدم التكدس داخل الصاالت خاصة فى ظل الكثافة الركابٌة والجوٌة التى ٌشهدها مطار القاهرة فى الوقت الراهن.

شهد مطار القاهرة الدولى أمس األحد انطالق 26رحلة داخلٌة تابعة للشركة الوطنٌة "مصر للطٌران" ،متجهة إلى المدن السٌاحٌة المصرٌة ،لالستفادة من العروض التى تقدمها "مصر للطٌران" للسفر على متن رحالتها ،فى إطار خطتها لتنشٌط السٌاحة الداخلٌة ،كما سٌرت بعض الشركات الخاصة 7رحالت أخرى إلى مدٌنى شرم الشٌخ والغردقة. وقامت سلطات المطار بالتنسٌق مع شركة مصر للطٌران بتخصٌص فرق من العالقات العامة تابعة لشركتى المٌناء ومصر للطٌران داخل الصاالت لتسهٌل عملٌة تسفٌر السائحٌن وفقا لرحالتهم ،حٌث غادر المطار ألفٌن و 422راكبا من مختلف الجنسٌات. وشهد المطار تسٌٌر شركة مصر للطٌران 9رحالت إلى مدٌنة الغردقة و 9رحالت إلى مدٌنة شرم الشٌخ و 3رحالت إلى كل من مدٌنتى األقصر وأسوان ،باإلضافة إلى تسٌٌر رحلة أخرى إلى كل من مدٌنة مرسى علم وبرج العرب؛ كما أقلعت من مطار القاهرة الدولى أٌضا 7رحالت تابعة الثنتٌن من الشركات الخاصة وتوجهت مباشرة سائحا ،وشهدت معظم إلى مدٌنتى شرم الشٌخ والغردقة وكان على متنهم 811 ً الرحالت التى انطلقت منذ بداٌة أمس األحد انتظا ًما فى مواعٌد اإلقالع حسب جدول التشغٌل المقرر.

British Airways have released a hilarious new safety video packed with big names such as Michael Caine, David Walliams and Joanna Lumley. The video shows six major celebrities ‗auditioning‘ in humorous sketches in front of hapless 'director' comedian Asim Chaudhry, who is going by the name Chabuddy G. Each star explains a different safety measure, from seatbelts to lifejackets, as Chabuddy G critique their acting skills -and the results are very funny indeed. The safety video has been launched in collaboration with Comic Relief and is filled with jokes guaranteed to entertain passengers travelling with BA from July. Olivia Colman, Jourdan Dunn, Naomie Harris also feature, with Colman accidentally being mistaken for the tea lady. Adding to Etihad Cargo‘s ongoing motor transport service, which transports hundreds of high-value vehicles annually, the new product assists customers through the booking process. Commenting on the launch, Abdulla Mohamed Shadid, Etihad Airways managing director Cargo and Logistics, said: ―We are delighted to introduce this new tailored product to the marketplace. Demand from our customers has grown significantly in recent years, and in an effort to improve our service offering, we have introduced vehicle handling capability at key new stations in 2018.‖ Outside of its regular clientele, FlightValet is expected to offer new opportunities for both car dealers and manufacturers to deliver their products globally with fewer complications. In particular, Etihad Cargo has positioned itself to cater to the needs of owners of Italian supercars at Milan Malpensa airport. Business class with flydubai takes stress out of Nepal The flydubai business class experience is a welcome contrast to the journey to Kathmandu‘s Tribhuvan International Airport. Getting to some places can be something of a challenge through the metallic zoo that is the Nepalese capital‘s notorious traffic-snarled streets. But having left the elegant lobby of the Hotel Shanker, just under four hours ahead of a 7.20pm flight to Dubai International, our canny driver blended side streets and sheer bravado to reach the departures concourse without drama. That landed us front of the business class check-in line, where you can deposit a significant 40kg of baggage, and through immigration swiftly to enjoy the executive lounge long before push back. In fact, quite a while before take-off, it turned out, as weather in the changeable Kathmandu Valley meant flight FZ 576 faced a flash storm. Thankfully, the executive lounge that flydubai shares with several international carriers provides substantially more comfort than elsewhere in the airport. Like flydubai‘s dedicated business class lounge at Dubai International Airport‘s Terminal 2, complimentary hot and cold food and snacks are available alongside hot drinks and beverages. Two main areas are laid out with leather sofas. Several widescreen TVs display news and departure times beside clocks set to major cities – including Dubai. There‘s also a good view of plane activity. For those with flights at unsocial hours, an attached Forty Winks Lounge, operated by Radisson, acts as a silent area with inviting leather armchairs. Oddly, the executive lounge is situated after immigration yet before security scanning, but the walk to the gate is brief. Flydubai operates Boeing‘s 737-800 on the three-times-a-day Kathmandu route with a dedicated Dubai departure gate at Terminal 2, with complimentary refreshments. Departure and arrival business class passengers also transfer by their own leather-seated coach, for priority boarding or deplaning.

2 www.thenational.ae On board, business class configuration places two comfortable wide seats either side of the aisle, in three rows – rather than the three each side of the aisle in economy. There‘s plenty of overhead storage to accommodate a 14kg carry-on allowance – handy if you‘re travelling without check-in luggage for a swift check-in or exit from the airport. Each seat delivers a 12.1-inch HD screen for in-flight entertainment ranging from music and games to a fair selection of English language and international films, including some Bollywood staples. The choice of words dubbed over cursing in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, however, rendered the Best Picture Oscar winner surreal in places. Decent quality full-ear headphones cancel out most other sound, making them equally useful for undisturbed sleep, aided by an impossibly soft blanket. Service is unobtrusive, soft drinks and hot towels offered on boarding along with a menu card, this time including a vibrant biryani and moist rib beef, offset by a fresh leaf salad. With 1A in one of the front seats, we were served first, had extra legroom and were first off the plane once into Dubai. And, with visa procurement and passport control at Kathmandu somewhat slow, that business class rapid exit certainly warrants the outbound fare. With rebuilding still underway in Kathmandu to repair monuments and buildings damaged by the earthquake three years ago, some UAE talent is making its way to Nepal. On our flight was flydubai regular Michelle Evans, creative director of her own Dubai boutique design company. Specialising in luxury interiors, she travels to Kathmandu frequently to work with the Yak & Yeti Hotel on its refurbishment. ―We have been travelling to Kathmandu for this project for the last six months as we need to be involved personally with the property to better understand it before we do the design,‖ she said. ―The growth of Kathmandu is moving forward at a rapid pace, which I have seen, not just in my recent trips but from the time I visited over 18 years ago as a tourist. Some areas are positive, but the infrastructure is still struggling and is challenged to meet this growth. ―We are aware of a lot of new construction coming up in the next few years with new hotels being opened. So tourism is growing.‖ Which spells good news for flydubai. As do long-standing ties between Nepal and the UAE. These range from generous aid given to the Himalayan nation following the earthquake to the thousands of Nepalese within the UAE economy – including many staff at Louvre Abu Dhabi – who look to flydubai for economical fares home.

United Airlines plane evacuated after smoke in cabin WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) — The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority says passengers evacuated a plane at Reagan National Airport after smoke was reported in the cabin. MWAA tells news outlets that the Houstonbound flight was taxing for takeoff when emergency crews were called for a report of smoke in the cabin on Sunday around 1:00 p.m. Officials said in a statement that passengers and crew members evacuated without incident using slides and were returned to the gate. Airport authorities say normal airport operations have resumed. United Airlines tells The Washington Post that the issue affected a Mesa Airlines flight that operates under the United Express brand. The cause of the smoke was not immediately known.

Dubai‘s flag carrier Emirates and its low-cost sister airline flydubai will share a customer loyalty programme from this summer, the next stage in their expanded codeshare announced in July last year. From August 1, Emirates Skywards will be the loyalty programme for both airlines, while flydubai‘s existing "Open" loyalty scheme will cease to exist. "Open" members will be enrolled into Emirates Skywards membership and continue being rewarded when travelling with either Emirates or flydubai, the airlines said on Sunday. Members will also be able to earn both Skywards Miles and Tier Miles every time they fly with Emirates, ―enhancing collection and spending opportunities‖, flydubai said. ―Emirates can confirm that Emirates Skywards will become the loyalty programme for both Emirates airline and flydubai from 1 August, 2018," an Emirates spokeswoman The National. ―We are pleased to be welcoming a new member base to our programme and will share more details on the loyalty programme in due course.‖

The two airlines announced an expanded partnership agreement last July, intended to help them cut costs and build market share. As part of the arrangement, they are creating a shared network of codeshare routes to 240 destinations by 2022, and have so far launched 90 shared destinations in 48 countries, 71 of which were not served by the airlines previously. The expanded codeshare agreement will also involve increased shared network planning, fleet and airport operations and on-the-ground co-operation between the two airlines. The move to combine the two loyalty programmes ―builds on the success of the initial phase of the extensive partnership‖, flydubai said. In July, before the decision takes effect, Open Gold members and Emirates Skywards Silver members and above (who are also Open members) can convert their Open reward points to Skywards Miles, with two Open reward points equalling one Skywards Mile. Open reward points held in existing accounts can be redeemed until July 31 for future flights with flydubai, the carrier said.

seekingalpha.com Airbus A350 In North America: Strong Recovery A few year ago, we published a report on the regular platform on how the first attempt of Airbus to penetrate the North American market seemed to be hitting a road block as both American Airlines (AAL) and United Airlines (UAL) were reviewing their order for the Airbus (OTCPK:EADSF, OTCPK:EADSY) A350. In this report, we are revisiting the subject and see how things, in our view, have improved significantly for the Airbus A350 in North America despite losing a customer. The first airline we consider is Hawaiian Airlines (HA). In November 2007, Hawaiian Airlines signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the purchase of 6 Airbus A350-800 and 6 Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The tentative agreement was firmed in February 2008, but Hawaiian Airlines later converted the order for the 6 Airbus A350-800s to an order for 6 Airbus A330-800 aircraft as Airbus no longer intended to develop the smallest member of the Airbus A350 family and focused on the Airbus A350-900, Airbus A350-900ULR and Airbus A350-1000 instead and even explored the development of a further stretch. Airbus would end up losing the order for the Airbus A330neo as well as the airline canceled the order in favor of the Boeing (BA) 787-9. Losing Hawaiian Airlines as a customer for the Airbus A350 has been a step Airbus has been willing to take as it offered Hawaiian Airlines the Airbus A330neo or Airbus A350-900 as a solution.

Yesterday I flew EgyptAir from Vienna to Cairo, to position for my Oman Air first class ticket from Cairo to London. While EgyptAir‘s 737 business class might not be the most aspirational product, it sure was practical for where I needed to go, and I also figured it was generally a useful product to try, given how many places EgyptAir flies.

This configuration had 24 seats, spread across six rows in a 2-2 configuration (sorry for not getting a full cabin picture, but EgyptAir has ―security officers‖ on flights, so I tried to fly under the radar as much as possible).

On the plus side, legroom was excellent, significantly better than what you‘d find on a US carrier‘s 737. Each seat had a footrest, though they had to be raised manually, and mine didn‘t stay up. There were also personal televisions at every business class seat.

As far as the inflight service goes, the two ladies working business class were alright — they never smiled and didn‘t do anything to go above and beyond, but they went through the motions, and weren‘t rude, so… There are two other interesting things I wanted to mention about the flight. First of all, we took off halfway through the safety video. I‘ve had situations where we took off maybe a few seconds before the safety video finished, but in this case it was about two minutes after takeoff before the safety demo was done. Second of all, the flight had two security officers, which I think is standard on EgyptAir. They checked boarding passes at the door, though it didn‘t seem like they did anything else. What impressed me most is that they were both seated in economy the whole flight. I was expecting they‘d take open business class seats (the cabin was only half full) and have the crew serve them, but they didn‘t. Is the airline cracking down, or how did that happen? The flight was quick and we landed in Cairo on-time, so it was an all-around pleasant enough experience.

What I do have complaints about, however, is my Cairo transit experience. I have never had such an infuriating six hour layover. I almost missed my connection, and that‘s despite spending the entire six hours trying to do nothing but get onto my connecting flight. I‘ll save that for another installment, but I think I may avoid Cairo for a while now… I‘m usually a very calm person, but I had to do some deep breathing exercises to not lose it. Bottom line EgyptAir‘s 737 business class was a perfectly comfortable and no frills way to fly from Vienna to Cairo. The seats are spacious for a regional aircraft, the food was quite good, and the service was acceptable. If EgyptAir has the most convenient routing for your flight, I wouldn‘t hesitate to fly with them (and I‘ve also had a decent experience on their 777).
