أول طائرة لمصر للطٌران ضمن صفقة بوٌنج كتبت -رحاب نبٌل تستعد طائرة مصر للطٌران الجدٌدة من طراز 737.800لإلقالع من مطار مصنع شركة بوٌنج بمدٌنة سٌاتل األمرٌكٌة ،لتصل إلى القاهرة بعد غد اإلثنٌن لالنضمام رسمٌا إلى أسطول الشركة. ومن المقرر أن تنظم شركة مصر للطٌران بعد غد اإلثنٌن ،احتفالٌة بصالة رقم 4بمطار القاهرة الستقبال الطائرة الجدٌد ،وسط حضور عدد من قٌادات الطٌران المدنى ووسائل اإلعالم المختلفة. وكانت مصر للطٌران تعاقدات على شراء 9طائرات من مصنع بوٌنج بقٌمة 864ملٌون دوالر ،على أن تكون الطائرة األولى ملك للشركة والباقى بنظام اإلٌجار التشغٌلى.

تمكنت إدارة التأمٌن بمطار القاهرة الدولً ،الجمعة 9دٌسمبر من ضبط راكبة مصرٌة حاولت تهرٌب 14ألف دوالر أمرٌكً و 18ألف وٌ 850ورو إلى أثٌنا على رحلة مصر للطٌران. حٌث تم ضبطها أثناء اتخاذ اإلجراءات التأمٌنٌة المتبعة على الركاب. وأمر مساعد وزٌر الداخلٌة ألمن المطار اللواء فهمً مجاهد ،باتخاذ كافة اإلجراءات القانونٌة.

IATA trims profits expectations for 2016 and 2017 IATA has scaled back its industry outlook for 2016 by almost $4 billion, though it still sees airlines posting a record net profit of $35.6 billion for the year. The industry body, in its first forecast for 2017, is also projecting a fall in collective net profitability next year to $29.8 billion. This, though, would still mark an eighth consecutive industry profit – and a third in a row – with airlines' return on invested capital having exceeded the cost of capital. "This is the best performance in the industry's history – irrespective of the many uncertainties we face," says IATA director general Alexandre de Juniac, who unveiled the latest forecast at its global media day in Geneva today. IATA had in its June forecast raised its net profit outlook to $39.4 billion. But it has cut these expectations to $35.6 billion as a result of slower GDP growth and rising costs. This marks the first cut in IATA's halfyearly outlook since June 2014. North American carriers remain by far the most profitable. Even after shaving $2.5 billion from its June forecast for the region, IATA still sees North American carriers making a profit of $20.3 billion in 2016 – well over half the global figure. This, though, will be slightly down on the $21.5 billion the region's carriers posted in 2015.

IATA has also cut its profit expectation for 2016 among African, AsiaPacific and Middle East carriers. It sees European carrier profits unchanged at $7.5 billion – making it the second most profitable region in 2016 – and has lifted its Latin American expectations slightly. Carriers in that region are foreseen returning to profit in 2016 – meaning only African operators will be in the red for the year. For 2017, IATA sees higher fuel costs and a reduction in passenger growth as the demand stimulus from lower oil prices tapers off. But it see this partly offset by a a strengthening of global economic growth. As a result, IATA has set its net profit outlook for 2017 at $29.8 billion – almost $6 billion down on this year. It projects a fall in profits for all regions – aside from Africa which it sees with a loss unchanged at $800 million – with North American carriers continuing to lead the way with net profits of $18.1 billion.

United to premier 777-300ER on Hong Kong flights United Airlines will debut its new Boeing 777-300ERs on flights to Hong Kong in March, a month after the type enters service at its Newark and San Francisco hubs. The Chicago-based Star Alliance carrier will place the 366-seat 777 on its daily flight between San Francisco and Hong Kong beginning 25 March, it says. The aircraft will replace a 374-seat Boeing 747-400 on the route. The 777-300ER is the first aircraft in United’s fleet to feature its new Polaris business class seat. The cabin features 60 lie-flat seats in a one-two-one configuration. ”Our 777-300ER fleet represents a new era in premium air travel,“ says Julia Haywood, the airline's chief commercial officer, in a statement. ”With UnitedPolaris business class we are providing reimagined inflight dining, new amenities, the first United Polaris lounge at Chicago O'Hare Internationalairport and now this customdesigned seat." United plans to open a business class-only Polaris lounge at San Francisco International airport in 2017, however, it will not be open for the onboard product launch in March, a spokesman says. The carrier will take delivery of its first 777-300ER (registration N2331U and MSN 62642) around 21 December, they say, though the spokesman cautions the date is not set. The remaining 13 that United has on order will arrive in 2017.

United Airlines The airline will introduce the new 777 on flights between its Newark Liberty International airport hub and San Francisco on 16 February, giving crews and ground staff time to familiarise themselves with the aircraft ahead of its international launch. The type will operate six-times weekly on the route through 3 May. United will staff the aircraft with crews from its Hong Kong and Newarkbases, the spokesman says. The choice of San Francisco as the first international gateway for the 777-300ER is a switch from earlier comments by United executives. Newark was repeatedly cited as the likely first base for the type, allowing the carrier to upgauge some of its busy transatlantic routes from its New York City area hub. However, Haywood backtracked on Newark as the first gateway in an interview earlier this month, saying that ”places like San Francisco and Newark“ with developed long-haul premium markets were possible bases for the aircraft. The choice of San Francisco allows United to replace the 747, which it acknowledges has a poorer onboard product than many of its foreign competitors, on flights to Asia. The airline competes with Cathay Pacific Airways between San Francisco and Hong Kong, FlightGlobal schedules show. United plans to retire the remaining 20 747s in its fleet by third quarter of 2018.

Airlines Capacity To Jump To 2 Per Cent Over Next 3-4 Years: ICRA Domestic air traffic continued its healthy growth this fiscal, with an annual growth of 22.5 per cent in the first half of current financial year,
Mumbai: The airlines are set to add an additional capacity of 20-25 per cent over the next three to four years, even as mounting competition and price war are eating into their yields impacting the bottomlines, says a report.

Despite falling yields, due to increasing competition and the resultant hit on profitability, the airlines' capacity addition is set to clip at CAGR of 20-25 per cent over the next three-four years, domestic rating agency Icra said in a report today. "The industry-wide ASKMs are slated to grow at astrong CAGR of 2025 per cent over next 2 to 4 years. This will be driven by sizeable order backlog of the market leader Indigo, and also at GoAir, Jet Airways and SpiceJet coupled with the expected fleet expansion of Vistara and AirAsia.
"The capacity expansion will also be boosted by thelaunch of two new airlines, Air Carnival and Zoom Air," the report said. Domestic air traffic continued its healthy growth this fiscal, with an annual growth of 22.5 per cent in the first half of current financial year, making the domestic market the fastest-growing aviation market in the world. The comparative numbers for the second growth market of Russia is way below half of it at around 10 per cent, while China is at around 6 per cent and the US, the largest market at 3-4 per cent. Capacity addition by new airlines and rapid capacityexpansion by existing carriers have resulted in a 20.4 per cent annualised growth in available seat kilometers (ASKM) in the first half, leading to more intensification in competition, the report said. One of the major growth drivers is the steep fall injet fuel prices in 2015-16 had enabled airlines to reduce fares and the resultant spike in passenger growth numbers to 85 million. The industry is expecting the country to cross the century mark for the first time this financial year. But fuel prices began to climb up again from March 2016 and has since then jumped by a whopping 41 per cent sequentially over the past nine months, which has eroded this cushion.
