The girls have returned to boa rest of the term, and it’s been vibrant again.

This is always a special time of weeks will mark the end of the been with us for just a few year reflection alongside the excite next chapters.

In the meantime, we are very much focused on making the most of the weeks ahead filling them with moments that matter, laughter, friendship and shared experiences. It’s these everyday memories that the girls will take with them and, we hope, look back on with great fondness. We are looking forward to all that is still to come this term and to sharing some of these moments with you

DofE GOLD PRESENTATION

Our Gold DofE team, the Class of ’25, reunited at Buckingham Palace one final time to celebrate the culmination of their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award journey The special occasion recognised their hard work, commitment, and outstanding achievement, providing a fitting finale to an unforgettable experience

DofE BRONZE PRACTICE

At the star t of the half-term break, our Bronze DofE par ticipants embarked on their expedition in the Surrey Hills, facing exceptionally hot and demanding conditions. Throughout the journey, they demonstrated impressive perseverance, resilience, and teamwork, successfully completing the expedition despite the challenges Along the way, they fur ther developed their navigation and campcraft skills, leaving them well prepared and confident for their upcoming qualifying expedition.

A reading from the Gospel of John

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.

“Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Reflection

This passage from John’s Gospel reminds us of the very heart of the Christian faith: God’s love is unconditional, sacrificial, and life-giving. God does not love us because we are perfect, but simply because we are His. In sending His Son, God does not come to judge or condemn, but to save, heal, and restore.

The church has recently celebrated the Feast of the Holy Trinity The Trinity reminds us that God’s nature is a nature of sharing, of giving and receiving. We are all invited to share in God’s love and life. Now what can be better than that.

Let us pray.

Loving Father,

we thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, the light of the world and the source of our salvation.

Help us to believe in Him with all our hearts, to trust in your love, and to walk always in your light.

Amen.

Hickstead Championships

23rd - 25th May

The Hickstead Championships bring together the very best competitors from schools from all over the UK. Despite the sweltering heat, the girls all rode beautifully and rose to the diverse challenges.

Inter County Show Jumping Championships

Antigonie S rode a skilful, clear and fast round to win the top spot and has been crowned the 1.10 M Inter County Champion. This really is the very top of individual NSEA showjumping achievements.

Riding at the highest team level, the 1M team (Rosie C, Harri L, Antonia S, Antigonie S), rode tactically round a very well built but testing course to become Reserve Intercounty Champions

Hickstead Elite 1M Show Jumping Championships

Rosie C, Harri L, Antonia S and Antigonie S narrowly missed first place by 0 28 seconds but secured their place as Reserve Champions A stunning achievement

The above two team results are at the very top level of team NSEA Show Jumping and absolutely amazing achievements.

Inter County Dressage Championships

The dressage team (Lottie B, Molly M, Rosie C and Olivia S) rode really well It was Molly’s and Lottie’s first dressage championships and first time competing at a higher level for Rosie and Olivia They just missed out on the placings this time but there is lots of potential for the future!

Eventers Challenge Championships

Although the teams did not come in the placings, Molly M went clear in the 70cm class at her very first school championships as did Harri L in the 80cm class and Ivy M in both the 70 and 80 cm classes. Amber B's pony flew round but had a couple of poles down. Olivia S rode extremely determinedly in both her classes. Rosie C also did a very good job! Really well done to all of them!

Show Jumping Qualifiers

Alongside the Championship classes, the NSEA run qualifiers for the National Championships in October

Florence B made her debut riding her new pony Tommy in lovely clear rounds at 70 and 80 cm. Antonia S and Antigonie S jumped in the 1.10 class for a very daring and fast win from Antonia and second place for Antigonie respectively, qualifying them both not only for the National Championships but also the Hickstead Elite 1.10 Individual Finals at Hickstead in June.

What a weekend! I can't express enough how proud I am of the girls who not only pulled off these exceptional results, but who unfalteringly supported each other not only through the celebrations but also the challenges they faced over the weekend Lucy Collins (NSEA Team Manager)

SUMMER TERM GROUP SESSIONS

ESTA is delighted to be accepting bookings for group lessons during the summer term. Sessions will run from Tuesday 21 April through to Friday 3 July (10 weeks) st rd

Group sessions will run at the following times:

Y5&6 - Wednesdays @ 4:15-5:15pm

Y7&8 - Fridays @ 4:15-5:15pm

Y9&10 - Fridays @ 5:15-6:15pm

Performance Group (invitational) - Wednesdays @ 6:15-7:45pm

Boarders' Group - Tuesdays @ 6:15-7:15pm
