ST TERESA’S Bulletin Issue 8

Summer Term

19th June 2026

Dear Parents, Whilst we may be heading into the final two weeks of the academic year, we are by no means losing steam. If anything, more coal has been added to the boiler and it has been freshly stoked. What a week of exciting opportunities have been afforded the girls in the Prep School this week. Commencing with a whole school assembly about ‘Values Week’ - another inaugural Prep School opportunity to be more involved in the events going on throughout Senior School. Girls have enjoyed singing along during Breakioke and were very much looking forward to today’s mufti- and charity stall events. On Tuesday, we hosted the anuual Aquathlon and many of the girls from Year 5 took part and did themselves and the school proud. Also on Tuesday, Year 6 rounded off their RE learning about the life and ministry of Jesus with a visit to Wintershall to watch ‘The Life of Christ’. Further details on this trip below - needless to say it was an amazing and moving experience and we were doubly blessed with spectacular weather too. On Wednesday, Miss Fogwill and her team in the PE Department put on the inaugural Interhouse Life-Saving Competition. What an excellent event this proved to be. Watching the girls demonstrate, under competitive timings, all the skills they have learned about water safety, rescue and life-saving was so encouraging to be part of. What with fifteen water-based fatalities across the country during the last heatwave this education is truly a life skill. Thank you to all those parents who came along to support the girls. Next week, we are so excited to be putting the finishiing touches to the Prep School production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’. If you are still to book your seats, please find the relevant link below. We can’t wait for you to experience the journey to Oz! While I am on the point of booking in - please also find below the links to Sports’ Day (Tuesday 30th June); Year 6 Leavers’ Liturgy (Wednesday 1st July) and our end of year Prize-Giving (Thursday 2nd July). Best wishes, Gareth Tindall
