Bulletin
Issue 9 Spring Term
Dear Parents,
13th March 2026
We had our second visiting author, who came to us via our Trust connection with Cranmore Prep School, Joel Arcanjo The girls in Year 5 and 6 were treated to readings, anecdotes and writing tips all to do with Joel’s series ‘Crookhaven’. Some girls who had bought copies of Joel’s books, were able to have them signed by the author while he was here The girls were also treated to being the first school where Joel played for the them the trailer of an 8part BBC series based on his books which airs later in March!
Following football fixtures against Notre Dame and a Surrey Netball tournament, we hit one of those significant markers in our school calendar which tells me the year is quickly passing us by – our first parent meeting about Summer Term residentials On Wednesday, it was the turn of our Year 5 parents to hear all about Osmington Bay and PGL I am sure if they have any further questions they can turn to our trusty Year 6 parent body who experienced this trip last year.
Even more significant was the passing of our second whole community event of the year, namely our Spring Concert How spectacularly the girls sang, played and performed My thanks to you parents for all your support with out of school hours learning of lyrics and pieces and the extra practice My thanks to our team of peri teachers who help the girls with their singing lessons and instrumental skills. However, the biggest thanks naturally goes to Mrs G for all her care, attention, clubs, preparation and practising with the girls that led to such a fabulous event
We have, coming up, our Year 6 French Residential meeting; Year 6 Onatti Trust-wide event; Year 5 trip to Hampton Court; Spring report grade cards to complete; Life Lab perfect pitch and fair; 5AB’s class assembly; FOST Easter Egg Hunt; PE Departments Hop, Skip and a Jump charity event; Lenten Mass; and multiple sports fixtures to go before we break up for Easter
Therefore, I will repeat my sign off from last week’s bulletin (apologies if that threw some of you), now for the push through the last two weeks of term!
Gareth Tindall
