ST TERESA’S Bulletin Issue 6

Dear Parents, We were all geared up for our exciting fixtures at the start of the week, following on from a glorious week of weather during the half term break, when the heavens opened and cricket and tennis required cancelling amid the deluge of rain and the lightning and thunder! The fixtures were not the only elements of the week missed due to inclement weather, however we are a creative school and we managed to make new things during indoor break and engage in classroom based PE learning too. Fingers crossed for today’s IAPS cricket tournament! Next week, we are looking forward to conquering assessments in the form of: internal progress testing, ABRSM examinations and LAMDA examinations. Good luck to all the girls involved in their external Music and Drama grading. The week after next we are looking forward to celebrating our Whole School Values Week and the culmination of a year focused on the value of Compassion. Prep School council have been working alongside their Senior counterparts on an exciting programme of activities, culminating in a Street Party on Friday afternoon with many stalls for girls to purchase goods with all proceeds going to charity. On the subject of charity, the LifeLab profit of £849 this year (wow – well done, Year 6!) has been donated to Cancer Research UK – a charity close to all our hearts. We have donated in support of Mr Allen in our IT Department who took up running just last year and will be completing his first 10km run for charity on June 21st. We wish him all the best!
