Senior Chronicle YOUR ESSENTIAL ROUND-UP FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 22 JUNE 2026 Message from the Headmaster

This week, we have successfully navigated the challenges of exceptionally hot weather and rising temperatures. A range of adaptations have been put in place to ensure pupils remain as comfortable as possible while continuing their learning. Sports Days have been rescheduled, and fixtures postponed where necessary. Despite the heat, there has still been much to enjoy. Pupils were delighted by the delivery of ice creams during afternoon lessons, bringing welcome relief and great excitement.

We were also pleased to continue with our Young Musician Winners Concerts, showcasing the impressive talents of our performers. Year 10 pupils spent a valuable day experiencing life in the EST Sixth Form, while the EDI Committee’s initiative brought us together for a themed lunch in recognition of Windrush.

LAMDA examinations took place earlier in the week, alongside the EST House Maths Challenge on Tuesday, both providing excellent opportunities for pupils to demonstrate their skills and commitment.

Looking ahead, we are grateful that cooler conditions are forecast over the weekend for the Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition in the Brecon Beacons, as well as the annual CPA Crancamp. I very much look forward to seeing many of you at Sports Days next week.

Mr Everitt
