Senior Chronicle YOUR ESSENTIAL ROUND-UP FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 8 JUNE 2026 Message from the Headmaster Across the School, pupils have demonstrated both commitment and ambition this week. While our Year 11 pupils continued their GCSEs with focus and maturity, others were representing Cranmore at national level, including those competing in the National Team Maths Challenge Final in Manchester, an opportunity which reflects both academic excellence and the confidence to perform beyond the classroom. Closer to home, the Junior Maths Challenge follow-on rounds and the Young Musician Finals across Years 7 to 9 have showcased the talent, discipline and resilience required to excel. Our Year 7 pupils went to at St Teresa’s for a Trust quiz providing a valuable opportunity to work and enjoy competition with their peers. There have also been a number of trips and experiences. Year 10 demonstrated determination and teamwork through the demanding Nuts Challenge, while others applied their learning in real-world contexts through Geography fieldwork in Wimbledon. At the same time, our Year 9 pupils have prepared for their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition this weekend. What stands out most clearly is how these experiences come together to form a coherent and purposeful education. Whether academic, creative, physical, or adventurous, each opportunity plays a role in developing confident, capable young people—equipped not only with knowledge, but with the character, adaptability, and ambition to thrive beyond Cranmore.
