And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him”

The Transfiguration is one of the most beautiful moments in the Gospels Jesus takes Peter, James and John up a mountain away from the noise, the crowds and the pressures of daily life While He is praying, something extraordinary happens: His face shines like the sun, His clothes become dazzling white, and the disciples suddenly see Him as He truly is glorious, divine and radiant with the love of God
The Transfiguration reminds us that God reveals Himself when we make space for Him Jesus goes up the mountain to pray, and it is in that quiet moment that the disciples see His glory In our own lives filled with schoolwork, friendships, challenges, screens and constant noise we too must make time for God. When we allow ourselves moments of silence and stillness, we create the space where God can speak to us
Lord Jesus,
You were transfigured on the mountain, shining with the glory of God’s love. Help us to find moments of quiet where we can listen to Your voice When school feels busy or life feels heavy, remind us that You walk with us and that Your light is never far away Fill our hearts with courage, our minds with wisdom and our words with kindness. Teach us to recognise Your presence in our friends, our teachers and in everyone we meet today May Your light guide our choices and shine through everything we do Amen.
