In response to Senate Bill 3, Oregon has updated its diploma requirements starting with the class of 2027, mandating 0.5 credit each in Personal Financial Education and Higher Education and Career Path Skills. Personal and Family Finance (Personal Financial Education) Aligned with Senate Bill 3, Oregon’s updated diploma requirements effective for the class of 2027, the Personal and Family Finance course is designed to help students learn essential skills in money management, including budgeting, saving, understanding taxes, and using credit wisely. Students will explore how education and career choices intertwined with financial planning can simplify and enhance their lives.
High School Career Discovery (Higher Education Career Path Skills) Aligned with Senate Bill 3, Oregon’s updated diploma requirements effective for the class of 2027, the High School Career Discovery course is expertly designed to help students identify and align their unique strengths and interests with one of 17 career clusters. The curriculum delivers vital industry-specific skills, emphasizes practical applications, and is tailored to ensure students are well-prepared for a smooth transition into their chosen careers and further educational opportunities, setting the stage for their future success.
Personal Finance Simulation Give students the experience to practice what they learn in Personal Finance Education with our Personal Finance virtual simulation, designed for students to learn essential personal finance skills through experiential learning.
