The Altiman Howlett Scholarship was established by the Edwin Allen High School Alumni Association Mid-Atlantic Chapter and funded by alumnus Altiman Howlett. Each year, male and female student(s) receive US$200 to assist with school-related expenses such as books, transportation, field trips, and lunch.
Awarded at the Speech and Prize-Giving Ceremony or the start of the academic year, the scholarship targets students with financial need, strong academic performance (an average of minimum of 70%), and good attendance.
Applicants must submit a one-page letter outlining their background and need. Final selections are made by Mr. Howlett and the Scholarship Committee.
Four (4) students are awarded $200 USD (+/- $30,000 JMD) as a testament to their academic dedication and potential.

This program is established to assist students with a demonstrated financial need. It offers assistance to students who receive support under the School Welfare Programme. It further assists students with funding to cover supplies and materials for educational purposes. It also provides assistance in the payment of examination fees for TVET and City & Guilds.
