VIRGINIA Virginia is known for many things. Nicknamed Old Dominion and the Mother of Presidents, Virginia is most famous for hosting the first English colony in the United States (Jamestown, est. 1607). In addition to the state’s rich history and location near the nation’s capital, Virginia is a haven for adventure and exploration sitting between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Travelers come from far and wide to hike the forests of Roanoke, catch waves in Virginia Beach, travel through time in Williamsburg, meet wild ponies in Chincoteague, and more. In Virginia, there’s a little something for everyone, and adventure always awaits you. Future ETC student: You can NOT be a semester student and a metro request in VA. Our metro areas require AYP (academic year program) students.
