STUDENT ARRIVALS
This semester, ETC placed 75 students! We are so excited to see what this year brings for them.
Emily arrived from Italy last night to her host family in Albuquerque, NM. Welcome Emily!!
Nina arrived today from Austria. She will be going to school in Frisco, TX and staying with the Guerrero family.
Host mom, Mariea, and her exchange student, Maria, welcome their new student, Svea, who has been in the US for 24 hours and went to her 1st basketball game.

STUDENT ARRIVALS Carlotta from Italy was welcomed by her host family in sunny Florida!
Clara arrived in Dallas today to stay with the Casey family for the spring semester!
Today Marlene joined us in Dallas! She will be going to Clark High School in Plano, TX!

ETC STAFF A few of our amazing local coordinators were selected to chaperone our ETC Los Angeles trip. 70 Exchange students went on the trip!
Our ETC Staff was able to get together in Phoenix, Arizona and enjoy our annual Christmas Party!
STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS

Students in Ohio made a quilt for their Local Coordinator with all of the flags from the countries they are from!
A group of students went to College Station! We beat Prarie View (52-3), they met a yell leader, some of the kids got on the Jumbotron, we visited the Bush Library, went to the Chicken and played some pool, and did the required Bucees stop!
Amelie and Greta are host sisters in Arizona. They are from Germany & Italy. After their first week in the U.S they compared their favorites and dislikes!

“Svea and I rode at the Pace Hunt set up by the Moore County Hounds. We had a blast. 5.8 This JV game ended up in our favor miles of beautiful trails.” with Yonas grabbing a rebound and holding it until time ran out.
VOLLEYBALL
Sandra #10 & her host sister Meredith #3 are lucky to share a love of the game. They are going to play in the Virginia state championship. They are both so excited for this crazy experience.

Nina from Germany had her dance recital today in Maryland.

EVENTS & HOLIDAYS
Georgia exchange students showing their holiday spirit in Ugly Christmas Sweaters!
Our exchange students and coordinators had a “Texas” meal & they exchanged secret Santa gifts.
Our North Carolina and South Carolina exchange students got together to celebrate Christmas!
Our students and coordinators got together in Virginia to decorate Gingerbread Houses!
8 The holidays are such a great time in an exchange student’s life. They learn so many American traditions from their host family and share their traditions as well! It is definitely a favorite time of the year for all.

12 LOS ANGELES TRIP Some of our exchange students got to visit Los Angeles on the first ETC student trip of the year! Five ETC local coordinators had the honor of chaperoning the trip as well. Everyone got to tour Hollywood, the Walk of Fame, Santa Monica, Universal, Disneyland and so much more!
