Training to teach with e-Q If you're considering joining our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) cohort, via either the School Direct or Teaching Apprenticeship Programme, this information should give you an idea of what to expect when you start...

We are e-Qualitas

Educating the Educators of the Future

e-Qualitas are the largest privately run national School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) provider; having successfully trained thousands of teachers towards their Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

e-Qualitas' ITT Curriculum is intended to be cohesive and integrated with placement needs in order to train high quality teachers and prepare trainees for the reality of their subject teaching and the classroom.

Our specialist team of ITT consultants guides schools and graduates through the Teacher Training application process, including guidance on funding options, timings, and delivery of the programme. Our tutors have practical experience of teaching, leading, and inspecting; our partner schools and settings are well-versed in mentoring teachers of the future. As a result, we are proud to have one of the highest QTS pass rates in the country at over 95%, compared with the current national pass rate of 63%. Our team of subject and phase leads and tutors has experience and knowledge that covers all secondary subject curriculum areas; as well as for primary - including Early Years/Key Stage 1 specialists. Our Tutors have a wealth of knowledge and experience supporting trainee teachers and are deployed out to visit trainees in school throughout the programme. Our Subject Leads and Tutors also run offthe-job training sessions, which provide a forum for peer-to-peer discussion and learning.

Adopting a layers of learning approach offers valuable opportunities to revisit and consistently deepen understanding of key components within subjects. Read our Curriculum Intent here >

Full-cohort Conference Days An Initial Teacher Training Year with e-Qualitas includes a minimum of two full-cohort conference days. These events bring together the full cohort of trainee teachers across all subjects and phases, creating a perfect opportunity for networking and discussion. Conferences form a mandatory part of the training year and include sessions from guest speakers and e-Qualitas’ Curriculum Directors. Recent conference themes have included ‘Creating an Environment for Learning’ and ‘Becoming an Evidence-based Teacher’. Click on a video link below to watch our recent conference highlights:
