At the tender age of seven, my father ushered me into the world of seed sowing. "Rise and shine, son. Dawn waits for no one," he would say, his voice imbued with the aroma of morning coffee. In the predawn hush, we would dress, my small feet clumsily navigating slippers in the dim light.
The air, laden with morning dew, accompanied us as we trod the narrow path, serenaded by a cricket chorus and our carabao, our gentle giant, exhaling softly into the cool morning breeze. My small, uncalloused hand was enveloped in my father’s—a landscape etched with tales of hard work and life’s journey.
As we arrived in the open field, dawn flirted with the horizon, coyly teasing the day with glimpses of light. "Here," he said, offering me a
seed as minuscule as a whispered secret. "Today, you plant your first pechay."
Kneeling beside him, I observed as his seasoned hands tenderly cradled the seed into the earth, swaddling it for its slumber. As he pressed down the final clod of soil, the day’s inaugural sunbeam bathed us, casting his visage in a golden radiance. The world around us stirred to life, welcoming the new seed we had entrusted to the soil. "A fresh start, son," he whispered. "Each sunrise, a solemn vow from the earth."
In those moments, embraced by the grace of dawn, I sensed a connection that transcended our modest farm, reaching out to the divine. In the silent communion with the stars, I felt a closeness to something—or Someone—vastly greater than myself, as though the universe itself was extending a clandestine embrace.
These daily wonders kindled a spark of divine curiosity within me, gentle urgings encouraging my spirit to lean in and marvel. I found myself captivated by creation's symphony, a dance of light and life hinting at a master orchestrator an artist of the cosmos with the
brilliance of a celestial Da Vinci, sculpting the universe with masterful precision. Could such splendor and meticulous order be merely the products of chance? Have you ever been enthralled by a starlit sky or a mesmerizing sunset and experienced that shiver—the unambiguous sensation of something, or Someone, far grander than our terrestrial domain?
Natural Revelation

When the splendor of nature leaves you awestruck, that’s what some refer to as 'natural revelation'—the concept that nature itself discloses God’s presence. The Apostle Paul understood this. In Romans 1:20, he asserts, "For the invisible qualities of Him, from the creation of the world, are being understood and discerned clearly through the things that have been made, including His eternal power and divine nature, leaving them to be without excuse." It’s as if Paul is gesturing towards the cosmos, proclaiming, "Behold! It all proclaims God's glory!" No one can evade it; even skeptics must acknowledge Paul’s unequivocal declaration.
Yet, as alluring as these natural glimpses are, they are but a preview of the divine narrative.
