To be honest, the spiritual interview with John Lennon was also a shock to me. John was a man of the same era he was still alive in my university days. At the time, I was buying cassette tapes of classical music conducted by Karajan in bulk, and was not so interested in the Beatles whose tapes were still piled up high on university cooperative although their popularity was already dying down. One of my friends told me, “You’re a fool if you don’t understand how great and genius the Beatles is.” Forty years later, I was made to realize that fact.

I am not exactly sure what the difference is between Queen, who is now very popular with the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, and the Beatles.

Why is the soul of the main vocalist of Queen lost after death, while John Lennon, the main vocalist of the Beatles, is back in a higher-dimensional world in Heaven even though he was assassinated? There was something else in John besides purely rebellion against society, perhaps a noble spirit… But anyhow, I hope you will read through this book.

Originally recorded in Japanese on January 14, 2019, in the Special Lecture Hall of Happy Science in Japan, and later translated into English.

John Lennon (1940 - 1980)

John Lennon was a British rock singer who was born in Liverpool. After several changes to their band name, the Beatles was formed in 1960. He played a central role in the band and composed many of their songs and lyrics. In 1964, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” became hugely successful in the United States, exploding into a Beatles boom occurring across the globe. After their disbanding in 1970, John Lennon went to the United States and worked solo there. While mainly working there on his music, he continued giving many messages to the world, including those for the peace movement that he and his wife, Yoko Ono, both were involved in. He died in 1980 when he was shot by a crazed fan.
