Ray Hibbard

It was great to see activities not only come back but to see events grow for 2025. A splendid example was the growth of Cycle 66 here in downtown Edmond. We made so much progress, but we need to take it one step further in communities today. We need to be active and involved in our community. Edmond is a great community because our residents, organizations and businesses do take things a step further and get involved. It is what makes us one of the absolute best communities in the nation. Our yearly Calendar of Events shines a light on the results of many of those efforts in Edmond and it is how we fund our yearly contributions to non-profit organizations here in Edmond.
Since we are locally owned and operated, it is natural for us to be active in Edmond. So many other great companies and individuals join us. In fact, we are inspired by the many good corporate citizens in Edmond. Business owners in Edmond have long been blessed with a great vision for the community and are willing to turn that vision into action.
Downtown Edmond continues to receive investment from private sources with the building and refurbishing of new offices and retail space. Our new city offices and municipal buildings are fully up and running. Some remarkable things could be happening with the old offices and development. New upscale housing coming to Edmond will provide a new and energetic dynamic for the area. It is going to give us even more retail and dining choices for this year.
You will find in these pages many of the Edmond activities that require a lot of work. Our community puts in thousands of volunteer hours for these events, which makes Edmond a better place. We thank them for their efforts. We invite you to participate in many of the activities in this year’s Calendar of Events. We know you will enjoy them. Make 2026 the year you get involved.
Events change and we encourage you to keep up with our online version of this Calendar of Events on our website. It would also be a promising idea to look at our pages each week to check for updates and to check with the organization putting on the event to confirm starting times.
These projects are just examples of the progress going on in Edmond. With so much happening, it is more important than ever that we have a community calendar. Over the last 25 years, it has been our pleasure to provide that Calendar of Events guide. We thank our advertisers for their support for this important publication and for making it possible.
