Wienk Charolais has always been a family operation. When Arnold & Carol started in the business in 1958 they worked alongside Arnold’s parents, LeRoy & Francis. Arnold & Carol’s daughter, Jody, and her husband, Jeff Eschenbaum, became a part of the operation in 1985. Their sons will be the fourth generation to carry on the WCR legacy that generations before have worked so hard to build. Sterling and Courtney joined the family business full-time in 2010 and Ty, Calder, and Stetson all contribute to the success of the ranch. The vision, genetic goals, and what works and what doesn’t have been passed down from one generation to the next over the past 54 years. Traits that cannot be quantified such as feet & legs, muscle shape & dimension, and docility are of up most importance in our program. For your review, 25 of the bulls have their videos on our website and a DVD of ALL bulls and heifers will also be available 2 weeks before the sale. Please let us know if you would like one. NUTRITION We see our bulls as athletes and as such, that is how we feed them. We work closely with our herd nutritionist to grow our bulls so that they are ready to perform at breeding time without falling apart. WCR bulls have target goals through their stages of growth; you will not see any 5 lb rate of gains in this catalog. That is on purpose. We believe it doesnʼt make sense to feed a bull as if he were a steer. CUSTOMER SERVICE We want our customer service to be second to none. Our cattle are guaranteed unconditionally and if there is a problem it will be taken care of. We will stand behind our genetics 100%. ADDED VALUE Our customers are capitalizing on the pounds and premiums that Charolais cross calves bring to the table. Over the years we have developed relationships with feeders and order buyers that have seen the success of our genetics. They like their dispositions and have come to rely on their consistent growth and carcass quality to make a profit. If you use our bulls exclusively, let us know when your calves sell and we will make our contacts aware. We see that as a win for you, the buyer, and for us. Bidding: Each animal on which there are two or more bids will be sold to the highest bidder. Terms: The terms of the sale are cash. Checks accepted. Checks must be made payable to Wienk Charolais. Disputes: The auctioneer will settle any disputes as to bids by declaring all bids off and reselling the animal in question.
Handling: Each animal will be at the purchaser’s risk as soon as sold and settlement must be made at the completion of the sale. All cattle will be loaded out by the seller upon instructions from the buyer, but at the buyer’s risk. Health: All animals will have health certificates. All females are calfhood vaccinated. All cattle in the sale have tested negative for BVD-PI. Our cow herd has been tested for Johne’s disease for 15 years. Bull are vaccinated for Vibro, 5-way Lepto, I.B.R., P13, B.V.D., Hemophilus, and Mycoplasma. Breeders Guarantee: Wienk Charolais unconditionally guarantees all animals to be fit as breeding stock. If an animal fails to perform to your satisfaction, credit towards another animal will be given for future sales. All animals that don’t perform and are returned must be in good condition and weigh according to their age. All of the cattle are registered or recorded in the American International Charolais Association and proper certificates will be furnished unless otherwise states. Transfer of ownership will be completed by the seller.
