Welcome to the Spring edition of our Vasquez newsletter. I am hopeful and optimistic that this year will bring great opportunities to further enhance the building blocks of our success. I am delighted to share with you that our firm welcomed more professionals who will join us in achieving our robust goals. MEET THE DIRECTORS

Joanne joined Vasquez as a tax director in December 2021. She has 18 years of tax experience in various public accounting firms, including KPMG, LLP. She provides compliance and advisory services for closely held corporations, partnerships, non-profit organizations, and high networth individuals. She oversees and provides tax compliance, planning and analysis for various entities and their affiliates, including professional corporations, distribution, real estate development, and non-profit organizations. She also analyzes a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications for corporate, partnership, and individual clients. Joanne earned her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California (USC) and is now pursuing her Master’s in Taxation from USC. Joanne enjoys traveling abroad, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her family.

Tricia brings more than 20+ years of business partnership experience and indepth BPO industry knowledge that will help drive Vasquez BPO growth in the Philippines. Prior to joining the Manila Office, she held senior finance and operational executive positions as Chief Finance Officer of various BPO companies such as Sitel, Sykes, HSBC, and Capital One. She was instrumental in the ground-up work of building businesses from zero to thousands of employees. Her prior roles shaped her into becoming a strategist, catalyst, steward, and leader. Her leadership journey goes beyond delivering a story through numbers to a story of a well-balanced approach in all aspects of the organization. Her expertise in fostering expansion through delivery of excellence, business impact, and employee engagement allowed her to cultivate teams that delivered significant growth for her previous companies. She consistently added value in key areas of business planning, tax, government compliance, SOX, controls, audit, system design and implementation, productivity, contract management, and negotiations. She began her career in SGV as an auditor and then moved through various multi-national organizations. Tricia is one of the pioneers who established Starbucks in the Philippines. Tricia is a graduate of BSC with a major in Accounting from De La Salle University-Manila. She is both a CPA and a CMA.

Cassandra Bae becomes a member of the Alumni Council at Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii Cassandra built a career as a TV producer working for major media outlets, like NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, Bravo, OWN, Animal Planet, and Netflix. She also managed strategic partnerships with global brands: Adidas, Condé Nast, and Proctor & Gamble. Stay Resilient & Avoid Burnout During COVID-19 in

Recognize the signs of stress/burnout. Five of the most common are anxiety, low mood, irritability, disengagement, and exhaustion. Take self-care breaks when you see the signs. Distract yourself briefly (10 minutes is fine) with activities that increase your happiness and peace of mind. Wearable technology is useful in scheduling reminders to assess how you’re feeling. Cultivate a positive work environment. We’re all in this together and it’s important we lift each other up. Positive words for teamwork, kudos, praise, recognition can’t be overused in this current state.

It may seem hard to pull back – even temporarily – when circumstances demand so much, but it is critical to do so. The only way we will get through this is to take care of ourselves and each other.

FEATURED ARTIST Leah Regorgo Papercutting art brings me peace and helps me relieve my stress. I started to discover my talent in arts when I was exposed to art television shows when I was a toddler. Growing up, I tried different styles and mediums such as paintings, portraits, architecture, and many more, but I was not satisfied with my works in these kinds of art...

Then I began to explore another form of art when I cut paper and formed it into a masterpiece. At first, I do not know what to call it until I discovered Badz Magsumbil, a founder of the Papercutters Guild of the Philippines. I researched about him, then his artworks became my inspiration.
