LEAVING CERTIFICATE HISTORY 2028

This text covers the topic: Case Studies: The United States and the World, 1945–1989, the compulsory Documents-based Question to be examined in 2028.

The case studies are:

■ The Montgomery bus boycott, 1956

■ Lyndon Johnson and Vietnam, 1963–1968

This book deals with these Case Studies separately from the rest of the Topic

Each Case Study starts with an essay which places it in its context

This is followed by a detailed account of the events of the Case Study

Finally there is a brief summary of subsequent developments influenced by the events of the Case Study

To help students become used to reading documents, each Case Study is accompanied by relevant documents and questions relating to these documents

For each Case Study there are four exam-type document questions so that students can become familiar with the way in which documents are treated in the Leaving Certificate History examination

Relevant key personalities and concepts are also included

NEW Leaving Certificate Questions Examined section contains past questions, marking schemes and suggested sample answers
