● The big digital book is used to read the story to the children enabling them to recognise and use the basic conventions of print.

● Children avail of varied opportunities to benefit from listening to the book:

– The book is read to the children as part of shared reading.

– Children listen to the story as part of station teaching.

– Children choose a book they like from the class library.
