The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra IN UNISON Chorus performs a variety of musical styles, with a focus on the interpretation, performance, and preservation of music from the African diaspora. In addition to its 100-member chorus, the SLSO oversees the In Unison Programs, a vital component of its community engagement initiative which connects neighboring churches to the orchestra through community partnerships and extends professional development to young students who aspire to pursue a career in music. This choral series is dedicated to the music of black composers and arrangers, highlighting music for combined choral and orchestral forces.
