Television Guide
Wednesday September 19, to Tuesday September 25, 2012 Highlights this week 1. Monsters vs Aliens (TEN, Saturday, 6.30pm) is animated fun for the kids (and some adults) with an all-star cast of voices. Reese Witherspoon plays the main character who is struck by a meteorite on her wedding day and grows over 15 metres tall (it’s the quantonium, don’t you know), is kidnapped by the military and joins a force of elite monsters, including Seth Rogen as an indestructible gelatinous blob, and finds herself saving the world, as you do. 2. Terry Pratchett is a remarkable author, bringing much pleasure and insight to millions through his Discworld satirical fantasy series. His fans were stricken to learn he has Alzheimers. In Terry Pratchett: Choosing To Die (SBS1, Sunday, 9.30pm), we join Pratchett on a highly personal journey to explore the options available for euthanasia before his unique brain fizzles out. The doco includes a visit to the Dignitas Clinic in Switzerland, where assisted death is legal. See more about the author at www.terrypratchettbooks.com.
