2020 The One National Western Simmental Sale Monday, January 20, 2020 • Denver, CO The 27th National Western “The One” Simmental Sale was held Monday, January 20, 2020 in the Yards in Denver, Colorado. Breeders across the US and Canada gather in Denver each year for the stock show to highlight their breeding programs. A highlight prior to this sale is the selection of the People’s Choice Power Simmental animal and the winning ticket was purchased by Chet Purvine of Purvine Farms, Fay, OK. Chet’s choice to Tag 39, HILB/Sher Knock Knock (daughter of Chestnut Knock Out 204) coming from Hilbrands Cattle CO. Clara City, MN. Breeder of the People’s Choice Power Simmental receives $10,000. “The One Sale” sanctioned by the Colorado Simmental Association has worked hand and hand with the American Simmental/Simbrah Foundation in raising fund for the AJSA Junior members since 1997. This year’s donation came from RS&T Simmental and Jordan Cowger. An own daughter of HPF Quantum Leap and TNGL Hope’n and Dream’n, this April open female was purchased by a consortium of breeders including Freking Cattle Co/Brad & Meg Freking, Circle M Farms/ Craig McCullum- Moore Land & Cattle/Dennis Moore, White Wing Simmental/Nick & Karen Impagliazzo, Shoal Creek Land & Cattle/Ed & Kathi Rule, Rockin P/The Phillips Family, Buck Creek Ranch/Jacob Moore & Family, Eberspacher Enterprises/Val and Lori, Hilbrands Cattle Co/Mark & Amanda, CK Cattle/Chris and Kristy Effling, Wager Cattle Co, Eichacker Simmentals/ Steve and Cathy, Innovation Ag Marketing, Red River Farms/ Bob & Michael Mullion, Lee Cattle/John Lee, Hicks Cattle Co/ Steve, Kristen and Family, Megan, Mandy and Harold Brown, Jones Show Cattle, Ferguson Show Cattle/John and Lindsey for $42,500. The group donated this heifer back and Triple C Farms, Jamestown, TN purchased G04 for $3750 with the total to $46,250 for the Junior programs. To date, there has been $456,350 raised through this sale for the Foundation. Team work is the key! Foundation sponsors in the future are 2021-Red River Farms, 2022-Buck Creek Ranch, 2023-Clear Water Simmental, 2024-Hart Farms, 2025- Hicks Cattle Co, 2026-Trennepohl Farms. Thank you one and all!
