Welcome to our 2nd Annual Genetic Advantage Sale! We are excited to bring in the new year with a select set of bulls, breds and opens for your evaluation! First off, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended last year’s sale and inquired about the cattle. We think anyone who has had a production sale at some point has had that resonating thought and fear of “what if nobody shows up?!” We could not be more pleased with seeing a combination of long-time customers, new faces, fellow breeders, neighbors and friends! It is an exciting time to be in the Simmental business! Simmental and SimAngus genetics are in high demand across the country right now for many of the traits they possess from bone and performance to udder quality and structural soundness. We have worked to look deeper into the qualities our females possess and to create matings with some of the leading bulls in the industry to make cattle that are functional,
reliable and efficient while still carrying eye appeal and style. Over the years, we have put a strong emphasis on our mama cows being attractive in their phenotype while keeping a check and balance on their genotype. All cattle have to cover territory, whether it’s in large pastures and rough terrain out west or the hills of southern Iowa. We want to keep the foot and leg structure correct in our breeding stock. We strongly believe in these cattle to go out and work for you and stand behind them 100%. We are grateful to be able to call our customers friends and thank you for your support through the years to get us to this point. If the distance is further than 100 miles, we will accommodate the best we can. We encourage buyers to keep their bulls at the farm where we can get them into breeding condition with all vaccinations and a breeding soundness examination. You’re going to want to take advantage of our mistake on this foundation female. It’s a long story but she happens to be the only bred in the sale that is serviced by our own Executive Order son. We used him to clean up our females that we are keeping and she ended up getting clipped for pictures and I knew I had to offer her for your appraisal. HEAVEN’S GROCERY STORE I was walking down life’s highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read “Heaven’s Grocery Store”. As I got a little closer the door came open wide, And when I came to myself I was standing inside. I saw a host of angels they were standing everywhere. One handed me a basket and said, “my child, shop with care.” Everything a Christian needed was in that grocery store, And all you couldn’t carry, you could come back the next day for more.
