Every year, thousands of females make their way into donor programs based on what show they won, who their sire and dam are, how much they cost and for multiple other reasons. Yes, Chanel comes from the famous Ebonys Joy/Antoinette cow family but Chanel flat out earned her way to get the title of “DONOR”. She is the hard working mom that has earned everything she has gotten in life… no handouts asked for or taken. She would lay down each spring and have an awesome calf, come in heat in 21 days after calving, breed first service, wean an awesome calf and do it again and again while always looking amazing. We finally decided when she was about 5 to give her the donor title she so deserved because we wanted to flat out produce more calves out of her with that highly heritable fertility trait. The talk of the yards in Denver 2020 was the addition of the bred females to the pen show but the real buzz was the one female in that Hilbrands Cattle Company Pen of 3 Bred Females that ended up winning the % Pen Show. “Did you see that one bred in that pen?” “She must be Hilbrands new donor.” “They say that one isn’t for sale, do you think she really isn’t?” These are a few of the comments floating around that kept coming back to us and just making our whole team smile. That highly talked about female was Sarita Gabrielle F215G. It should come as no surprise that the 2 time Denver champion Gabby would have a daughter that created a stir in the Mile High city as well. Sarita has been special since the day she hit the ground at the ET coop herd. She was only shown once as an open heifer claiming Reserve Division II honors in Louisville. Kinslee and Amanda are not ready to sell this beloved female at this time but with a little smooth talking I have convinced them to offer an IVF flush on her. She was IVF once last spring before breeding her and produced 12 grade 1 embryos. Some of those calves have already hit the ground and are smoking good!!! Sarita has calved and will be ready to IVF right after the sale. Selling 1 IVF flush guaranteeing 6 embryos with an open top to take place at Trans Ova, IA. All semen must be approved by Trans Ova for quality prior to flush. All costs associated with semen, flush, freezing, transfers is the buyer’s responsibility.

They say “length makes the difference”. Some may need HS Stop And Stare U118L Dam to get heads out of the gutter because I’m talking about when you are weighing cattle. Not sure it’s possible to make them much longer than this guy because he is about as long as a unit train. His dam, Stop And Stare, is one of the most well know females in the Simmental breed. Her ability to knock it out of park producing ½ blood SimAngus™ cattle is second to none. Great dispositioned and probably gets the award for animal that appreciated getting cleaned up and pictured the most. FYI…the first calving sale pairs could hardly stand it when this guy was in the picture pen next to them…. length does make the difference in more ways than one I guess.
