Welcome to our 11th annual Cason’s Pride & Joy Simmentals performance bull sale, we are excited to be hosting this bull sale on the farm for first time. We are so grateful for all great cattlemen and cattlewomen investing in our genetics, and we truly appreciate it. As I have said before it’s our privilege to be working with so many great commercial and Seedstock producers. Again, we want to say thank you to all our past and future customers for their support and confidence in our breeding program.
We are extremely excited about the bulls offered in this sale; this will be the most uniform set bulls we have ever offered. From the first lot to the last lot, you will find the quality and performance runs deep. We have continued to learn and improve how we make our matings decisions with EPD’s and experience. As always, our goal is to produce genetics that will give you the commercial producer the potential to increase the profitability of your operation. As the cow inventory continues to shrink, I believe this is the time to invest in genetics that can bring financial benefits in the long term. If you study the EPD’s of these bulls, you will see we have continued to bring down birth weight EPD’s without sacrificing weaning weights our goal is to keep birth weights at breed average while maintaining above breed average for growth. There is a nice group of true heifer bulls offered in the sale and many of those you can still use on mature cows without losing performance. We recommend that you consider keeping replacement females sired by these bulls, we have concentrated on the maternal side for many years, there is longevity and performance built into these genetics. As you analyze the bulls and study their EPD’S keep in mind the traits that will serve you the best.
If you have an interest in any of the offerings in this sale, please don’t hesitate to contact Landon or I, we would love to visit with you about your needs and expectations. The more we know what your goals are the better job we can do in recommending the right genetics that best serve you. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to view the bulls on the farm any time prior to the sale. It is important to us that we get to know our customers and their goals to better serve you.
We continue to work very hard at developing these bulls to ensure their longevity. Our objective is to feed a quality roughagebased ration to allow these young bulls to reach their genetic potential. Bunk management is a high priority to ensure bulls never see too much grain or high starch feed stuff.
We will continue to bring the bulls back to the farm after the sale to finish developing the bulls, we will keep them until May 1st at no charge. But we do ask that you consider ensuring your bulls, we will have a Livestock Insurance agent available on sale day.
Again, we want to say thank you for your interest in our program and encourage you to call any time with questions or concerns because customer satisfaction is very important to us all. We wish all of you a great calving, breeding season and a prosperous 2026.
Denny Cason

2026 marks the 11th year for the annual Cason’s Pride & Joy powerpacked Bull Sale. Like the 2025 fall female sale, this bull sale will be held at the new sale facility on the Cason farm near Albia, Iowa. Alongside the new sale facility, the firm built a well-designed bull development facility to ensure cattle are developed on appropriate rations and monitored daily.
The Cason family has been in the seedstock business for a long time, has stood the test of time, and has a vision for the future. Performance has always been a priority, and you will find in this offering many bulls with over 800 lbs. for weaning and 1300 lbs. plus for yearly. Alongside their steady focus on performance, they monitor strong genetic profiles while maintaining ideal phenotypes. The catalog is organized by sire groups to help you identify full- and half-brothers, improving consistency in your future calf crops.
Note that the Cason team will keep and feed the bulls until May 1st. Denny & Landon want to ensure each bull is properly developed and ready for turnout in optimal condition. We encourage you to take out insurance on your bull sale day. The bulls can be viewed at the farm anytime. Please visit with the Cason crew or us at EE with any questions. Come early to enjoy the wonderful Cason hospitality and watch the bull videos on the big screens-no bulls will go through a sale ring. They will be just hanging out in the new bull development barn, waiting for you to select the right one.
Looking forward to visiting with you on March 7th in Albia, Iowa.
Sincerely,

This next group of bulls are all sired by LCDR Reserve 210J, this was our second calf crop of LCDR Reserve calves. I can say they are the growthiest, a little bigger framed and maybe the soundest foot and leg structur. These will be cow type bulls as with a little more birth weight and power. Several of these are black baldies, I would say if you needed some extra growth and like those baldy replacements, these bulls should fit your needs. Reserve is an out cross to most of the genetics we been using so if you need a little different blood lines, this will work.

Here is a set Bold Ruler sons that are moderate framed, absolutely full of muscle and big bodied. I can’t say enough good things about the influence Bold Ruler has had in our herd the last several years. His calves really tip the scales at weaning then just keep gaining through yearling. They are soft made, rugged and just have look of longevity. Bold Ruler sired calves come easy and hit the ground growing. Disposition on these bulls are second to none, but I think his best trait may be in the replacements pen. They will easy keeping, quiet with well above average for maternal calving ease and milk.

An own son of the great NLC Upgrade, NLC Upgrade was known for siring heavy muscled big, ribbed cattle with performance. Mr. Nelson’s dam ia a Grandmaster daughter, that has more than proven herself as a 14-year-old cow. She has produced several top herd bulls and has two grandsons in the sale. Proven genetics with longevity is built into this bull.
Mr. Clark N93 will be one of the top bulls in the sale. His dam Cason’s Miss Kassie an Eagle daughter, was top selling bred heifer in our 2022 female, purchased by Hill Family from Indiana. Here is a group of TRIF Guardian 215K sired bulls. TRIF Guardian is an ET Herd sire we purchased 3 years ago out of South Dakota, he ranks in the top 5% of the breed for API and TI, while maintaining yearling EPD of 130. These are incredible numbers on a proven herd sire. All six bulls in this group are negative for birth weight and above 81 for weaning weight. MWW • Reported as the pounds of weaning weight expressed in daughters’ progeny due to the milk production of the daughter and the direct genetic effect for weaning growth.
STAY • Reported as the difference in probability of a sire’s daughters staying in the herd until 6 years of age, given that they calved as a 2-year-old.
DOC • Reported as the difference in yearling-age progeny temperament, represented as a difference in probability that progeny will be scored as a 1, rather than a 2–6 on the docility scale (1 = docile disposition; 6 = extremely aggressive).

$TI • Evaluates sires for use on mature Angus cows with all offspring put on feed and sold on a grid (grade and yield).
$GAIN • A prediction designed to identify animals that are more profitable in the feedlot by converting feed into weight. $Gain is a combination of DMI and ADG, where ADG is weighted by the value of a pound of gain, and DMI is negatively weighted by the cost of a pound of dry matter. $Gain is expressed as the dollar difference per head per day during the post-weaning period.
