Welcome Everyone! On behalf of Cason’s Pride & Joy Simmentals, we would like to personally invite you to our annual bull sale. We would like to thank all our past customers for their loyalty to our seed stock business over the years. It’s hard to believe we been producing seed stock for over forty years now, but without the tremendous support you’ve given us over the years, we wouldn’t have been successful. What is the most gratifying to me is all the friends and relationships we have developed over the years. It is very rewarding to be working with second and third generations of families in the cattle business since we began in 1976. It’s an honor to be working with such good people. Our goal for producing high quality seed stock that excels in all sectors of the beef production has not wavered. We will continue to do our best to provide our customers with the best genetics available. We do welcome your feedback on the bulls throughout the year so that we can better serve our customers. We are proud and excited about this group of bulls that we are offering. The bulls in this sale were designed with the commercial cattleman in mind. The genetic makeup of these bulls is not by accident. These planned matings were designed so that we might be able to offer our customers superior genetic packages that suit their needs. There are some differences in each of the bulls from frame size, type and EPDs, so that you can select the traits and type of bull that fits your program. If we can assist you in any way, please let us know so we can visit about the traits and marketing goals of your operation to find the right bulls for your program. All our bulls were fed and developed with the best interest of the bulls in mind (longevity). Bulls were creep fed (low starch ration) and weaned at 6-7 months of age. After weaning, bulls are fed a high roughage growing ration consisting of first cutting brome hay, corn silage, ground hay and highquality proteins from several sources. We do manage bunks very closely to insure bulls never see too much grain. We do offer to bring the bulls back to the farm after the sale to finish developing the bulls. We will keep them until May 1st at no charge. But we do ask that you consider insuring your bulls, injury or death of a bull will be of the buyer’s responsibility. Again, we want to say thank you for your interest in our program and encourage you to call any time with questions or concerns because customer satisfaction is very important to us all. We would be happy to make farm visits to view your cattle and visit about your program needs or changes you may be considering. Mr. Winchester is a purebred black white face bull sired by CCR Santa Fe 9349Z. I think this may be my pick of the bulls. This bull represents everything that we strive to produce from individual performance to phenotype, disposition and EPDs. There is just no holes in this bull. He posted a 924 adjusted weaning weight with a birth weight of 85 pounds. His eleven-year-old dam has weaned in top five percent every year. This bull is good enough to be in any AI stud in America and you have the chance to buy him at a commercial man’s bull sale. We would like to reserve semen rights on this bull at no inconvenience to the buyer.

Cason’s Mr. Callahan is a solid black purebred sired by Upgrade. Upgrade has done more for the Simmental breed when it comes to adding muscle, rib eye, and gain ability than any other sire in the last 15 years. This is one of my favorite bulls as he exemplifies everything you want in a beef bull being rugged made, heavy muscled, deep bodied, sound structured and athletic. Cowboy Troy is a black white face purebred bull sired by CCR Cowboy Cut. Cowboy Troy was raised by the Eggleston family from Arbela, MO. They had purchased his dam from us for a show heifer project (Cason’s Miss Janesville). Cowboy Troy and his dam, Cason’s Miss Janesville, were third Overall Cow Calf at the National Jr. Simmental Show in Minnesota this summer and Champion Cow Calf at the Missouri State Fair in August. This super profiling bull does catch your eye being balanced, smooth shouldered and thick made. His EPDs suggest he will sire high growth, strong maternal and high carcass value cattle.
