Wednesday, February 18, 2026 1:00 PM AT THE FARM 2 MILES SOUTH OF FREDERICK, SD

“Time” is a fair weathered friend. In the grand scheme of things, 51 years has gone by in the blink of an eye. Other times, like when you needed something yesterday or waiting for just the right one, seems like forever!! We, as cattle producers, have been waiting for a year like 2025 to come along for our whole lives. Week after week we witnessed record-breaking sales one right after another, all the while telling ourselves it was going to fizzle out. But here we are a year later still maintaining a strong market base.
The need and desire for Simmental influence is constantly rising as consumers are finding new and innovative ways of promoting American raised beef instead of importing from rival countries. This puts the emphasis of purebred genetics top priority as commercial operations need the explosiveness that comes from the Simmental gene pool. They are breeding purebred lineage to purebred lineage and getting a superior product to market in all avenues. Therefore, our mission of producing only superior purebred genetics has remained the same and fuels our determination to bring you our very best offspring for your evaluation.
The grandkids have been busy this year aiding us whenever they can and are always quick to point out that we didn’t do it right and should have done it their way. Grandpa Kerry’s influence runs deep and they certainly keep the 3 of us on our toes. They will be great Simmental cattle stewards as the years move forward (secretly I have been wishing this time to slow down).
Our format for an all-video sale with no animals ran through the arena is still our choice for a no hassle sale that helps maintain the safety aspect for the bulls and heifers. So, if you find it is not feasible to make it to the sale, enjoy it from the comfort of your home, shop, tractor, ranger, office or phone as it is livestreamed from DVAuctions capable hands. As always, the cattle are here and ready for your evaluation and will be penned the day before and on sale day. We will be excited to show you every dam and herd sire to aid in your decision process.
So please come and join us on Feburary 18th and have lunch on us. We look forward to seeing and visiting with you all!!

Mara, Justin, and Jamie

The performance of Solid Gold just does not waver, since his first babies hit the ground in 23’. In 3 short years, he has ammassed over 187 individuals in progeny and we can’t wait for his babies to start hitting the ground any day now. We had to switch from using him on heifers to cows as he has matured into a massive herd bull (just got too big for the heifers) he is still in the top 1% for weaning weight, top 1% for maternal weaning weight, top 1% for TI and top 2% for marbling making his performane still remaining in the top of our breed. As you will notice in this years offering, he still puts massive frame size and a tremendous amount of center depth into both sons and daughters. He still remains our top herd sire as he has the highest dollar average in our 24’ and 25’ sales. So if you are needing to turn your program around, Solid Gold is a solid choice for your needs for 26’ and can change your weaning weight production in one season!

• Hart 180J- a Maximum Security son selling to Calvin Finnesand of Peever, SD

• This is her 4th bull in a very impressive short carreer
• Top 1% for WW, top 2% for YW, top 4% for ADG, top 5% for MWW, top 4% for CW- these 5 traits is what our program strives for, it is what we consider crucial in any animal that we bring into our herd and wouldn’ t sacrifice for our program, why should you?
As we get into the many different things that makes Man Of Steel the bull he is, we remind you that these kind of results have been happening with the Solid Gold sons and daughters for over 3 years now. Man Of Steel is exactly what his name implies- every part of this guy is bullet proof, a pillar of power, an iron of backbone and built like a fortress!! He is reliable under pressure all the while having the temperance of Clark Kent. Man Of Steel carries his explosiveness from his nose to his tail and his clean-cut lines are straight as a rocket. He may not carry a cape but what he does carry is an undeniable stature, powerful presence, dare we even say a bit cocky. Well, leave the kryptonite to Lex Luther and leave you all with what may be the best Solid Gold herd bull prospect we have ever raised!

Solid Gold’s 3rd years bull calves had definetly sealed the envelope, put a stamp on it and has proven irrevocably that he is the real deal and will be for years to come. His continual slam dunk results can’t be denied. He meshed so well with our cow power and along with his own created a sure-fire legacy to be dog gone proud of. 047N takes a play right out of Solid Gold’s rule book and added his own bits and pieces. His steller actual weaning weight of 936lb is the proof of what Solid Gold’s genetics can do for you. How ya like me now?!

In fact he won’t fit anyone’s working facilities including ours, we had to draw blood in our load out alley way. When we purchased JBS Single Shot from the prominent Benda Simmentals, Justin and Kerry went to his sale that year- a very fridgid South Dakota day, but they came away with what we felt was the highlight of that year’s sale. What he did for us, was gave us another boost of frame size which helped us maintain that characteristic we wouldn’t give up. This is how we see 220N- the exact same performance and power that Single Shot gave. 220N will give you that extra on your next payday. • We knew these Solid Gold daughters would produce the exact performance that his sons do. 099N is a supberb example of what Solid Gold does each and every single year, like it’s no big deal. This was his first year on cows due to his extra-large size. We believe his daughters are going to mature into adaquate frame size to produce the size we have come to expect. We couldn’t use him on heifers as he has matured into a beast of a herd sire. Distinction reminded us of Solid Gold when he was in his first year of service in terms of an aggressive breeding style. 099N’s frame size is indicitive of Solid Gold’s size which allows him to pack on all of that muscle mass showcasing his fantastic feed conversion rate!

You just heard me say how much our True Justice females have impacted our breeding program, and here we are again. This True Justice female has only given us one heifer calf that will be coming with her first baby any day now. The rest of the family is lights out on the bull department! 3 superior sons that sold to very prominent cattle families and were definitely sale headliners for us. When you evaluate this monster, you will notice his impeccable profile right away. His massive middle center helps maintain that impressive weight and when you factor in all the rest of his fine attributes, it is a recipe for success. So let him help you add much needed frame and dimension to your program.

You have heard us talk about our True Justice females many times (probably are sick of us singing his praises) but it is true. He was very instrumental in building our cow herd to what it is today. Really wish those great bulls could stick around for ever-but let’s be honest, we wouldn’t sell any bulls then. 137N takes a page from True Justice and is writing his own story. His grandam 348D is a CDI Made Right daughter that lends her extra pizzazz in this mashup!

This Utah daughter is as prolific a breeder as we have seen, she just doesn’t miss, and we have thrown every herd sire trying to challenge her. She crushed our challenge and gave us a look that said “is that all you got”!!!!!! Her latest conquest is a collaboration with Always On Time and we think he may be her best calf yet, and that says something. 192N is as wide as a Mack truck and paces some impressive stature onto his larger frame size. We will surely make a soggy set of feeders or some really modern made fancy replacements.

To say that a person doesn’t get excited, nervous, anxious after a whole year has passed and you get to view the results on one of your newest herd sires, we know you all experience the exact feelings. You have driven hundreds of miles, days away from the ranch to secure just the perfect replacement bull that will mesh with your genetics and give you a group of calves you can be darn proud of. Well, we didn’t have to drive. We deliberately kept him back for our own personal use. His calves are densely made with a bold bone structure design and super impressive growth. Hart 034N is out of a sire that has done so many great things for Steenhooks, WHF/JS The Deuce K45 keeps raising the standards and setting, the bar very high on all platforms. When Justin saw CCS/ JS Summer 13L at the Cowtown Classic in Oklahoma, when he was there to bring our donation heifer for the junior program, he knew she needed to be in South Dakota. With her first baby on the ground, she has just been a force to be reckoned with as a mother. We are so very impressed with her inaugural first year. 034N has such a presence to him already and certainly meets our aggressive standards. He has a massive middle, extra length and along with that explosive hind quarter gives him the chance to be the latest and greatest new herd sires that this industry needs.

The GALS OF THE GALAXY have made the light year jump to be brought down from the heavens and take their rightful place by the herd bull prospects offered in our 2026 annual production sale. Dark Space’s mother is another perfect example of our cow power- she has only produced heifers. We believe this speaks volumes about a female’s maternal strength over powering a herd bulls paternal traits. Our herd bulls match up very well with our cows and produce a formidible son or daughter, but it is without a doubt the very thing that sets those females apart. These are the cows that keep your up-and-coming young females producing the same results as their predecesors.
