You are truly appreciated.
Sincerest Thanks!
Scott, LT and Lauren Hope

This first set of bulls are all direct sons of our lead donor, 04J. As I write this, I wonder why we haven’t named her yet! I knew from the day she was born she was something special! If you have stopped and looked at cattle here you have seen her, because she holds a special place in our hearts here and we always show her off! Now enough about her...let’s talk about what to expect from her offspring! Last spring was her first calf crop, with her Schooly Krown sons being sale highlights, selling for $17,000, $10,000, and a $6500 bred heifer this fall. Not bad for an inaugural calf crop! We are just so proud of her and her offfspring. With 5 different sires to choose from, you’ll find all the same high quality. If you want fleshing ability with power and maternal traits pick a Dutton, if you want big time curve bending calving ease to yearling, along with carcass and API, go with the Statesman, or if you want the percentage sensation go with the Step Up son. Regardless, you can’t go wrong!

We call this bull Streak...from the white streak on his head, his streak of calving ease, his streak of high growth, to having a streak of 12 traits in the top 25% of the breed... can you blame us? Put that all into a nice package, and this guy still looks like a good bull should! When I planned this mating, this bull is exactly what I had in mind. Big time spread from calving to yearling weight, 10% Calving Ease, and top 4% Weaning Weight. He carries a top 10% API and TI, undeniable power and phenotype, as well as all the functional traits one may want. Big time herd bull potential right here! This is a bull we would love to collect and use back in our own herd.

The Dutton x 04J mating has been one of our favorite matings ever and if this bull doesn’t prove to you why I don’t know what will! 472M is easily one of the best bulls we have ever raised, not to mention he is a baldy purebred with outstanding numbers across the board! Don’t sleep on this stud!

From the time this one hit the ground, we knew he was special. He just enamours you with his over all power and performance. Whether he’s coming at you or walking away, he is like a MACK TRUCK! With this being said, he still shows up as breed average on calving ease. For a bull with this much power and bone, his structure is nearly perfect. If you want extra muscle and fleshing ability along with top end feeder calves, make sure to come home with this bull on February 15th!

Just like his brother, this bull needs to carry a wide load sign! He is one physically impressive beast of a bull! He packs so much power in a moderate frame, it is impressive. Side note...this one is an outcross to most modern day pedigrees. Check out this one’s video! His picture does not do him justice!

These Money Maker bulls have been very intriguing since they were born. They started out small and about the time they went to grass, they started to explode and now coming into a year old they have become beasts! I understand why his semen is virtually sold out at this time!

Dutton is a bull that just flat gets it done. He is extremely thick topped with a massive hip, a huge belly, and truly impressive structure right down to his feet and legs. The fact that he is transmitting all these desirable traits to his offspring will keep you coming back for more. One would think with all this power and performance he wouldn’t be a short gestation bull, but he sure is. This is why he is one of Select Sires’ top semen selling Simmentals. Don’t pass up an opportunity to buy a Dutton son to add power, rib shape, and performance, along with some tremendous genetic merit!
This ole boy has been a growth standout since day one! He has blown up the charts with his weaning weight and yearling weight, where he ranks in the top 1% of the breed for both. If you want to have the biggest and stoutest feeder calves at the barn, take this one home on sale day!

04N is a Black bull with impressive growth EPD (Expected Progeny Difference) numbers.
His sire, LRS Dutton 611K, offers balanced EPDs and excels for WW, YW, STAY, DOC, CW, and REA. Phenotypically, he offers added muscle in a 5.8 frame package with unrivaled foot quality. His Dam comes from the prestigious Miss Kansas 11G cow family, adding to his strong genetics and potential for producing top-quality offspring. DNA, Genomic tested.

is a solid Black bull that stands out with his moderate frame, natural thickness, and impressive power. But it’s not just his physical traits that make him an exceptional choice for breeding. His Dam comes from the prestigious Miss Kansas 11G cow family. With 06N, you get the whole package – a well-built and visually eye appealing bull with a proven lineage. DNA, Genomic tested.

Gold Strike will leave his mark on the Simmental Breed with his game changing growth, while still being a heifer safe bull. He has continued to impress us by being a big spread bull from birth clear through yearling weights. Gold Strikes hide their power at times because they are so smooth and complete in their transitions from head to tail...all while carrying extra bone and foot size. These sons will add some frame, extreme growth, and structural integrity to their calf crop along with his daughters being beautiful cows.

This Goldstrike son is bold middled, huge boned, stout made and pulls everything into an extremely balanced package. He goes back to a great cow family that puts performance and look together year after year. This guy has been impressive since day one!

01N is a Black Baldy bull that has stood out since birth. His sire, TJ Chief, is an attractive, thick-ended, and deep-ribbed bull. His dam, sired by Executive Order, is descended from the prestigious STF Desa Rae cow family. With these impressive genetics, 01N is expected to produce top-quality offspring and would make a valuable addition to any cow herd. DNA, Genomic tested.
03N is a black, larger-framed bull sired by TJ Chief. His Dam, sired by Cowboy Cut, boasts a pedigree that traces back to the highly sought-after STF Desa Rae cow family. With these impressive genetics, 03N is sure to produce top-quality offspring and make a valuable addition to any herd. DNA, Genomic tested.

Big time baldy power bull here! He has been a standout here since birth and has impressed most visitors. Top 4% of the breed on growth. Sell his awesome steers and keep back the heifers for a tremendous set of replacements!

Fire Power has been truly impressive! Calves come very easy for a bull with this much power, then they take off and grow very rapidly...doing a great job clear into yearling time. Talk about a group that knows how to push the scales down! They are phenotypically attractive cattle with added muscle and power in a moderate frame. Like all the herd bulls here, he is at the top of the charts for structural integrity and he passes that to his offspring along with his ability to add tremendous genetic merit.

182P was a staple in our herd for many years and continues to impact our herd in great ways. This Fire Power son exemplifies the power and growth that we loved 182P for and yet still ranks I the top 35% for calving ease. What a great combination bull that ticks so many boxes.

We love the look and presence that this bull has. He catches your eye every time you go through the pen. Sound as a cat, super deep at the center portion of his body, and extremely smooth transitions without giving up any power!

These Pontiac sons have proven to follow in their sire’s footsteps with impressive physical structure and smooth appearance. Pontiac has a very balanced EPD profile that has rang true and his sons will be no different. Look no further for a bull that can pull lots of pieces together both phenotypically and genotypically.

The Krown calves come moderate - small at birth and have that growthy look...wow have they grown! It took them a little while begin separating themselves, but coming into yearling time they have really turned it up! These Krown sons are designed for the guy that wants a little more frame, keeps their calves for a little while after weaning, or finishes his calves and is looking to get there fast and then bring a premium off the grid. He definitely adds looks and a tremendous genetic profile.

This bull has been a great asset to our program! He is a breed changer for sure. He was initially thought of as a calving ease/heifer bull, but as we used him the last few years, he has proven himself to also be a performance sire, a carcass sire, a maternal sire, and last but not least, adds phenotype along with a touch of added frame. Look out...his sons continue to get better year after year!

This bull, from the highly anticipated Power Cat bull, comes with added frame. These calves have done all that they were supposed to do when it comes to growth and dimension. Top indexing yearling bull!

The Mystery Man! This cow got out with the pen of bulls when she was in heat so not sure exactly who his sire is...after seeing him progress, I sure wish I knew! He blew all his contemporaries away at weaning, where his posted a 900+ WW and ratio of 135. We are still hoping to figure it out, but regardless, he is an impressive specimen!
If you want to add some punch to your calf crop, this one will add frame and stature, along with a high percentage of muscle to make his offspring very valuable. Top 1% growth bull, that still ranks in the top 20% for API.

Talk about massive! This Goldstrike son is a true power bull that still has that signature Goldstrike look. Square hipped, long bodied, huge middled and super stout bone work, this guy puts a lot of really cool pieces together.

476M is a bull that goes back to of our favorite female makers we have every used, Gold Strike and 345E! If you are looking to have maternal made, sound replacements that grow with the best of them look no further!

We have a long history of Black Star in our herd and that cow family has treated us extremely well over the years. 503M is no different bringing some exceptional phenotype pieces together and not losing any performance. You are sure to get some great looking, growthy calves out of him!

Major power in a moderate package! This bull has been impressive since we found him in the pasture as a newborn. What makes him so unique is how he is so smooth patterned and clean jointed and moves like a cat, while still being at the top of the bulls for mass and density.

Talk about style! This Tecumseh son is as long and extended as you could make one, huge boned, stout hipped and sound as a cat. CLAC Black Satin progeny has seem extreme success in the show ring and beyond and this bull is proof of why!

When we went looking for a red sire to add to our line up, we stopped dead in our tracks when we came across Electrify! He is not only a really good looking red purebred bull, but a bull that has 14/20 EPDs in the top 30% of the breed. His number profile is phenominal and it has definitely rang true with his calves coming small and easy, but having no problems keeping up with everyone else! These Electrify sons are sure to make a splash wherever they land.

This Electrify son is ready to go and make some true power cows that grow! 197N is super deep at the center portion of his body, extremely sound, and square hipped. We are really happy with our first calf crop out of Electrify and can’t wait to see what they can do for you!

You can’t go wrong with anything that goes back to 871L! Her daughters have been donors and top cows in our red herd for years and they never disappoint. Super sound, huge centered and stout made, these are cattle that just flat work!

These Honor Guard calves come easy and get up and grow. They are structurally correct and sound cattle that don’t shy away from the feed bunk. They would work well on everything from Red Angus cows to Red Simmental cows and everything in between. If you are looking for some high percentage red bulls, don’t over look these guys.

“ The biggest thing we have noticed on our operation is the feed conversion out of the bulls we have gotten from Trauernicht’s is outstanding. Some of our sire groups are averaging 2.7 pounds a day on just their mama, grass, and a little creep feed. Another thing we have noticed is the disposition of their cattle. One thing about disposition is that without a good starting point, it doesn’t matter how much you work with them. In the last few years, we have started keeping back our heifers, and we have had wonderful luck with conception. Just this last year, in a group of 60 heifers, 58 settled, and 44 of those settled to AI. Something we have always lived by is that good genetics don’t cost, they pay, and that is why we prioritize good cattle. However, outside of all that, the reason we keep coming back to Trauernicht Simmentals is because of the people and the family involved. When you talk to a Trauernicht, their word is gold, and that is how we like to do business.”
-KRIEGEL CATTLE

Unless otherwise noted, all the bulls sold as breeding age bulls will have passed a breeding soundness exam prior to pick up and/or delivery. We will provide a first breeding season guarantee on all yearling and older bulls (first breeding season is defined as the 90 day window immediately following turnout) all yearling and older bulls sold at the price of $4000 and up. This guarantee is not an insurance or mortality policy, but a guarantee on functional fertility. It is not a substitute or replacement for poor management. Buyer assumes all risks for injury due to running bulls together or management decisions outside genetic control (this is why carrying motality insurance is very important and encouraged). All issues must be on file by Sept. 15 of the year the bull was purchased to be under guarantee. This guarantee becomes void if the bull suffers from an injury or disease after leaving LHT’s possession. For any bull bringing $10,000 or greater, LHT will pay half the amount of mortality insurance for 6 months if the buyer agrees to pay the other half. For the guarantee to apply, we ask that you contact us as soon as a condition is observed and before the animal is sold. We will work with you to determine whether the animal is returned or sold for slaughter. We will attempt to provide a suitable replacement. If one cannot be provided of equal or greater value, we will issue a sale credit to be used in a future sale for the full purchase price less the salvage value ($3500) of the animal. Please contact Trauernicht Simmentals by October 1st or earlier for credir or adjustments.
