Welcome, on behalf of the entire crew at Shoal Creek Land and Cattle, we are excited to share the 2026 offering of the 15th annual Gathering at Shoal Creek. The past year has been fantastic in the beef business. This year we are seeing one steer calf bring what 2 or 3 would just a few years ago. Spending the time to evaluate and invest in new genetics has never been more well spent. The amount of added value an elite female or a high growth bull can add to your herd in this climate can be exponential. Take time to look over this offering, many of these matings happened 2 to 3 years in advance to this sale, we are pleased to show off our hard work and dedication to both the Simmental and Red Angus breeds.

A few standouts to this year’s sale are found in the first couple of lots. A pair of absolute stunner full sisters will be sold as a Choice Lot, SC Mary N23 and SC Mary N24. These future donors are daughters of Maple’s Mary 1013J, an instant impact donor we own in partnership with Lee Simmentals, not only do they carry a powerful maternal side but they are sired by the $200,000+ LLSF Dauntless. These girls will compete in the show ring and then produce in the donor pen. Speaking of donor cows, we will be offering HILB Lost in Love E44G in the offering this year, she needs no introduction to the Gathering. E44G is a female that has left a lasting impact on our herd. Multiple daughters roaming the hillsides and sons who have commanded top dollar, with that we decided to share in the opportunities she will surely give to her next owners. The bred female division is as deep as ever. We are excited to offer our first RVR Revolution 063K females AI bred to Five Star Ace, as well as the first calves from KBHR Gunner M089 on side of the spring pairs. As well with calves and service to the $30,000 MCL Night Move 3015 throughout the Red Angus offering.

This year’s bull offering is incredibly deep. What we may lack in number we do not lack in quality. We continue to utilize both Genomic data in DNA testing and Ultrasound Data for carcass quality, to give you the tool for your selections. As always we strive to offer bulls that will work in a multitude of scenarios, be it feeder calves, fat cattle or replacement females. Welcome to the 15th Anniversary Sale for The Gathering sale powered by Shoal Creek Land and Cattle. Ed & Kathi Rule had a vison when they looked at the hill on the Excelsior Springs ranch and knew where the sale facility needed to be built surrounded by cattle that would add value to the beef industry. What a ride it has been and the results to date are cattle that are able to function in any environment while accelerating profit for their customers.

As we continue to review the livestock market results, we all rejoice for the cow/calf producer being rewarded for their calf crop. It is no secret that running a cow herd is not for the faint of heart with challenges of weather and herd health so let us all enjoy this cycle of the beef business. The Shoal Creek team has a passion for that they do day in and day out. This passion is reflected by the 2026 The Gathering offering. The fancy open females are stacked with genetic power along with a stellar look, ready for the tan bark and creating memories for their new young owners. It is not often a program offers donors that have done so much for their breeding lineup, but the breeders are doing just that. There are females for both the spring and fall calving programs so study your lesson for new exciting ladies. The bull division once again carries the same tried and true performance power that Shoal Creek is known for. Long time customer Perry Vandiver recently topped the market with calves sired by Shoal Creek bulls which validates the value of this program.
