Welcome to our Annual Chestnut Angus Bull Sale, 2020……. I have nothing to say other than looking back at last year’s catalog, I was excited for a new year and a new Exciting Decade. Well, it was exciting but not in the way we wanted it to be! Enough of that, I am excited for 2021 and am hopeful things will turn around. Heck, the month of January has been a whole 180 degrees better than the last few in terms of snow fall, temperatures, and calving conditions. I totally knocked on wood as I was writing this, but I hope the beautiful weather continues and we all have a wonderful prosperous spring, summer, and fall. Needless to say we are excited to offer this set of bulls for your consideration for our 2021 Bull Sale. 2021 was a first in that it was the first time in a long time that the National Western Stock Show was not an option for livestock exhibitors and enthusiasts to attend. The State of Oklahoma, and the Cattlemans Congress stepped up to the plate and we are eternally grateful for them putting on such a high class event in such a short amount of time. With that, ever since we started this business, there has always been a goal in mind: To win the pen bull show at the Superbowl of All Cattle Shows. This year, in 2021, that dream/goal became a reality. We were fortunate enough to walk away from the Inaugural Cattlemans Congress with the Reserve Champion Pen of 3 Heifers and the Champion Pen of 3 Bulls. I can’t put into words what it means to my family and I, and how thankful I am to finally achieve this goal. This goal, and this set of bulls is the product of several years of hard work to produce a quality product for YOU, our customers. They are the kind of cattle that will go out and do big things for the programs they go to. They are the kind of cattle that combine genetic values on paper as well as phenotypic value on foot. Several of these bulls stem from our 2015 model cows which sold on our 2020 Fall Female Sale as well as 2016 model cows which will sell on our 2021 Fall Female Sale. We have built a program and a product that we feel can go out and perform for your operation no matter what your goals may be! We KEEP the best and CUT the rest! I would like to thank our customers. Our success comes from you, and I’m truly thankful for the relationships that my customers, family, friends, and neighbors have given me, that makes this cattle business and agriculture community so strong. I would like to thank my Wife Sherri, my two boys: Wesly and Dawson, as well as our hired man Justin Blumer for all of the hard work and dedication they put into this operation day in and day out. I would also like to thank those whom have helped out along the way. I don’t think people realize the amount of time and people it takes to put things like this all together. It’s almost like getting ready for a wedding and there is a lot of preparation that goes into it. So with that to EVERYONE who has helped at all times of the year Thank You!
