04 HOW IT’S DONE: PHOTOGRAPHY

Any photography used should be of East Staffordshire. We advise against using stock imagery, but understand that sometimes it cannot be avoided. Please see the next page for guidelines on stock imagery.

04 HOW IT’S DONE: PHOTOGRAPHY

If you need to use a stock image, do not include anything that is recognisable as being outside of the East Staffordshire area.

Appropriate

This image could be perceived as being somewhere in East Staffordshire as it shows no recognisable landmarks.

Avoid

This type of image should be avoided. Someone could recognise the street or the shops and point out that the image is not of East Staffordshire.

05 BRAND IN USE: SOCIAL MEDIA

Social Media design is kept simple and to the point - only using key images and the category logos (see 04: How It’s Done: Photography for more information on what kind of images to use).

When placing a category logo on top of an image, you must use this white shape behind it like the example to the right. This must also be placed at the bottom of the image, with a gap beneath.

Discover East Staffordshire: Brand Guidelines

05 BRAND IN USE: POSTERS

Poster design takes a same approach to social media design. The category logo is placed at the top of the design opposed to the bottom. If any logos or QR codes are included in the design, a white bar running along the bottom of the design can be used to house them.
