Summer of Play 2024 Choose Play (East Lothian Play Association SCIO) believes in children’s right to play. Play is a vital element of childhood, contributing to the wellbeing of children in their everyday lives. Delivering inclusive and accessible play opportunities in all seasons is one of our core services. Play Rangers facilitate children’s play through open access provision in the heart of communities,. They bring a wide variety of play resources, support children to play and raise awareness of the importance of play. In summer 2024, Choose Play led community based projects, delivered pop-up play sessions and worked with partners across East Lothian including family support services as well as large scale events.
