The Personal Healthcare Portal (CEHR) in IRIS is an online tool that will allow the people you work with to view their personal healthcare information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using a secure and private website.
Benefits of the Portal Better communication with the people you provide services to: Send and receive secure messages in-between appointments Send important documents to obtain signatures Send documents to complete clinical information Share important information, such as: clinical summaries reminders treatment plans educational materials through the patient portal. lab results Increase individuals in the engagement in, and ownership of, their own health. Portals can increase loyalty. The ongoing relationship and communication that occurs outside of appointments encourages people to feel cared for. Increase Easterseals MORC's value. How Can Staff Help Spread the Word? INFLUENCE: Easterseals MORC staff have one of the most important roles in promoting portal adoption. Agencies where providers encourage individuals to use a portal have a higher engagement rate than those that do not. BRING VALUE: Encourage the people they serve to access their lab results, send medical questions, gain information about their medications, and access resources through the portal. REINFORCE: Once individuals are using the portal, the case holder and medical staff should continue to reinforce its use by mentioning the portal at each visit and specifically referencing a feature in which the individual will find value.
