The holiday season and colder temperatures are right around the corner! Easterseals MORC is proud to share resources and assistance that is being provided by some of our amazing community partners. While this is not a comprehensive list of organizations providing help during this time of year, we wanted to provide a ray of hope for individuals who may be struggling during the coming months.

United Way of SE Michigan Call 211 to reach the United Way of SE Michigan. Upon calling you will be connected to many community agencies that are closest to you that may be able to help over the holiday season. salvation Army With multiple locations throughout the state, the Salvation Army can assist with hunger relief, clothing, utility assistance, and holiday season related assistance. Visit www.salvationarmyusa.org to learn more.

Kent County salvation army food pantry and holiday assistance Program Free Christmas meals, toys and food is part of their holiday assistance program. The Grand Rapids Salvation Army and the United Way provide this resource to very low-income families as well as the elderly. Applicants can be given free toys or food boxes, meals, and much more. Some applicants are given vouchers to shop at a local store for their holiday gifts. The Essential Needs Task Force of Kent County also encourages the use of vouchers for critical household supplies. Kids’ Food Basket Kids’ Food Basket in Grand Rapids aims to increase access to healthy food for children and families. Collectively, they are working toward hunger-free West Michigan for all. To learn more about available assistance, visit: https://kidsfoodbasket.org/.

Family Promise of Grand Rapids

Helping homeless families and those in crisis with shelter and holiday programs, Family Promise of Grand Rapids has assisted nearly 4,000 families to build stronger futures.
