Dylan can’t walk, but it doesn’t stop him from rounding second base. Jennifer has Down’s syndrome, but the Miracle League has given her more self-esteem than her parents ever dreamed possible. Kyle can’t hear, but the cheers of his teammates have never been louder. What is Easterseals Miracle League? It’s hope, determination, and a display of human spirit that is unequaled. And of course... there’s baseball. Our custom-designed surface accommodates wheelchairs, and assistive devices, while helping prevent injuries. We believe every child, regardless of their disability, deserves a chance to play baseball. To assist the athletes, our Miracle League uses a “buddy” system - pairing each player with an able-bodied peer. As a result, the parents, children, and volunteers are brought together in a program that enriches the lives of those with disabilities.
