APRIL 2024 EDITION Easterseals MORC has gathered a list of activities & events to do and visit throughout the state of Michigan. To be considered for the Easterseals MORC Seal of Approval, the activity, event, or location must be (or have accommodations for) sensory and/or disability friendly.

SENSORY FRIENDLY MOVIES AMC Theatres partners with the Autism Society to offer sensory friendly movies twice a month. During these showings they turn the lights up, and turn the sound down, so guests can get up, dance, walk, shout or sing! Their Sensory Friendly Film program is available on the second and fourth Saturday (family-friendly) and Wednesday evenings (mature audiences) of every month. To view participating theatres and learn more, click HERE. Celebration Cinemas partners with Family Hope Foundation to offer sensory showings. Guests can enjoy a friendly environment where everyone is welcome. These sensory friendly showings include brighter lights, lower sound, limited previews, open captions, and a group of understanding guests and staff. At Emagine, sensory friendly showings include brighter lights and lower volume, audience interaction (movement, speaking, singing) and electronic device (phone, tablet, etc.) usage is allowed. SENSORY FRIENDLY AT THE HENRY FORD Sensory friendly events for guests on the autism spectrum and with sensory processing disorders are scheduled throughout the year. The Henry Ford has created sensory-friendly at-home activities that will keep your family engaged and learning beyond our sensoryfriendly programming. These resources have connections to The Henry Ford, as well as videos, crafts, social activities, and more. They can be used at any time and in any combination.
