EKU MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS
EKU automatically awards merit scholarships to in-state, on-campus, firstyear students. EKU is the only university in Kentucky to offer a scholarship for every Kentucky first-year student who qualifies for admission. Awards range from $1,000 to $9,000 per year.

$9,000 (annually) REGENT’S AWARD Requirements: GPA ≥ 3.8 ≥ 28 ACT OR ≥ 1310 SAT
$5,000 (annually) ONE EASTERN AWARD Requirements: GPA 3.40 - 3.79
$3,000 (annually) EXCELLENCE AWARD Requirements: GPA 3.00 - 3.39
$7,000 (annually) PRESIDENT’S AWARD Requirements: GPA 3.80 - 4.00
$1,000 (annually) PROMISE AWARD Requirements: GPA 2.00 - 2.99

FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
• Donor-funded awards, such as the Alumni Scholarship, are available based on criteria including major, GPA, and residency. Eligibility requirements and award amounts vary.
