Students will still apply for the Teacher Education program and take courses in CEAHS.

FACTS ABOUT CEAHS 1. At EKU, future teachers get experiences in local schools from their first Education class through their final semester of student teaching. With a full K-12 school on campus, Model Laboratory School, students don’t even have to leave campus to learn alongside seasoned teachers. 2. Our ITP program is one of the 15 Bachelor’s degrees for ASL-English interpreting in the United States that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Interpreter Education (CCIE). 3. Our ASLIE department offers Study Abroad as well as a Living & Learning Community, where students can live in Walters Hall on the ASL LLC floor in an ASL environment. 4. Students in the dietetics program get hands on experience in clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of nutrition-related diseases while working closely with students in other health-related majors. 5. The Child and Family Studies Degree includes a concentration in Child Development with hands-on learning in the Burrier Child Development Center on campus. 6. CEAHS focuses on ensuring our students are fully prepared for state licensure exams with an average pass rate of 88% for Speech-Language Pathology graduates and an average pass rate of 86% for teacher licensure exams. 7. Students in Speech Pathology provide services to community members through the on-campus Speech and Hearing Clinic.
