St Endellion Brochure 2026

Page 1

A huge welcome to our 53rd Easter Festival! This year promises an absolute feast of music, with highlights including Vaughan William’s rarely performed Epithalamion; the magnificent Bach B minor Mass, dedicated to the memory of David Watkin, and Beethoven’s Symphony No 7 in A Major.

Our Festival will be conducted this year by John Butt, Ben Glassberg and Daniel Hogan, who are joined by soloists Sophie Bevan, Gareth Brynmor John, Tim Morgan, Rachel Nicholls and Emile Souvagie. Leaders of the St Endellion Easter Festival Orchestra are Paul Barritt, Christopher Jones and Kerenza Peacock, and the Festival Chorus will be expertly chorus mastered by Frances Cooke, Oliver Tarney and David Young. Our Come and Sing will be directed by Lucy Goddard.

We are thrilled to bring you the world premiere of a piece commissioned from Hugo Bell, winner of our 2026 Composition Competition. You are also invited to enjoy the Cornwall Watercolour Society’s stunning art exhibition, which is on display in the St Endellion Hall throughout the Festival.

We look forward to seeing you in April.

Look out for special ticket offers to commemorate 50 years since the death of Benjamin Britten – more details online at the Box Office.
