In 2007 the electronics sector comprised 6% of all the enterprises operating in the manufacturing industry in Estonia. There were more than 15,000 people working in

the sector, of which approximately 7,000 were engaged in the manufacturing of electrical machinery and apparatuses, nearly 5,500 in the manufacturing of radio, television and communication equipment, and approximately 2,000 in the manufacturing of medical and optical instruments and watches.
